What a mess.
I said in my last post that circumstances are difficult at the moment, but this raffle has been going on for two months. I imagine the reason it wasn't fixed is because the playerbase wasn't bothered enough to make a big deal out of it (which speaks volumes, really).
Then, we have this week's release accidentally going live early. Mistakes happen, but the sheer number of buggy releases lately makes this mistake far from a one-off.
Then we have the Autumnwood collection. If this many premium releases in a year is the 'new normal', then I'd at least like to know what the item is supposed to do before purchasing it. That makes the lack of info subs for our latest package rather vexing. Even if we did have them though, such a massive equipment overlap (three earth weapons, each with MRM forms...) is nothing but a detriment to the package*.
...and then we have Gatta Champion, which is still bugged to be underpowered, and was supposed to have been looked at weeks ago. An extra dedicated bugfix week was even scheduled to help address the myriad problems with the summer sets. It didn't even touch the sides!
Circumstances are difficult, but they don't cover for this many simple mistakes. I don't expect even close to perfection with the limited resources this game has available - bugs are to be expected when you have two coders, one of whom is theoretically busy with the LS revamp (I say theoretically because I've heard nothing about it since the Summer. I don't know what's going on there). With that said, the above errors could have mostly been avoided through better planning, a few additional basic quality checks, and improved communication. The latter is particularly trying; it's been a problem for years with seemingly little done about it. Even simple mistakes go down better when there's an acknowledgement of the situation, with a proposed solution and a broad timescale for implementation. While I doubt this was the intention, bringing forward a Z-Token item sales event just comes across as an attempt to paper over the cracks, rather than really trying to resolve the problem.
*P.S. For those unaware, it's a mostly earth version of the Doom Lily collection minus the Calyptra's Doom spell. The equivalent of Lily of the Doomed vows is Dark, the rest are Earth.
