Vader, you need to update the step 3 on sig tutorial, it is a little...unspecific.

What did you mean by that? it is the step that changes it the most, but i can't understand it.

Ps. a quick question:
How do you alter the Type/Font so it is different than one color, like shading,etc.

You said to put "some text on and lower it to below the gradiant".How do you do this??

Heres my first try after seeing this:

+ the on in my sig(Lasers) But that one is not done in gimp.

Hello. I have always been wanting to use GIMP, and i can, but it always crashes.

It comes up with a Pango warning and tells me to change my text but its blocked(that happens when i making or save a image)

It says something else when i open a render and on gimp.or it tells me to reinstall GTK... i tried but theres to uninstall file.

I would really appreciate it if you could help and if it works by your advise i'd make you a present. I just want to be a sig maker for pete's sake

I don't know all that much about animation, but this is a frequently asked question, so I'll make a tut about it
1. Use the basic sig tut to make your sig, but do not add text
2. Your going to need your layers dialog alot, so open it up (Dialogs>Layers or Ctrl+L)

I want it to be Frame 1: Vader

Frame 3: All

8. Open up your layers and each layer should have (100ms) or whatever number
9. just change the number to something higher, like (400ms), now when you hit playback, it should slow down
10. Save it and Celebrate! You are the Master of Animation! Huzzah!
-note that this was made for text animation, but you can apply it to anything for animation

Sorry for bringing this topic back, but i cant find the 100ms or whatever number in step 8. could anyone please tell me where to find it, i'm trying to animate some text on gimp.

Add what? I just dont know how i can change the frame speed except when saving it, but that applies to all the frames, and i want some frames to be faster than others, so how do i normally change the frame rate?

EDIT:nvm i got it now, my gimp doesnt show the ms so i had to manually add it in for it to work.

This thread is pretty old, so It doesen't suprise me that some links are "Broken" or not working. If you want to see anything specific, I advise private messageing Vader himself and asking him.
