.Passion// -> RE: purple tag with any thing tut gimp and paint (9/6/2007 16:42:28)

Lol you don't use paint for that.

Sanji -> RE: purple tag with any thing tut gimp and paint (9/6/2007 17:07:07)

Actually you can, its not hard, just takes a few little skills!

.Passion// -> RE: purple tag with any thing tut gimp and paint (9/6/2007 17:08:11)

Lol. You talk to me about paint skills [Not trying to sound conceited]

First off you don't need paint.

You can paste the render in IN gimp.

No need for paint.

Sanji -> RE: purple tag with any thing tut gimp and paint (9/6/2007 17:23:20)

first off you need gimp too.

and most PC's have paint anyway, also means for people who are no admins on there computer they can use paint, because they cant install stuff.

.Passion// -> RE: purple tag with any thing tut gimp and paint (9/6/2007 17:41:46)

oops, Typo. Ment you don't need paint.

Dewdrop Fairy -> RE: purple tag with any thing tut gimp and paint (9/6/2007 23:01:47)

Okay, I'm confused. Are you saying you can do this: [image]http://i171.photobucket.com/albums/u318/rianwulf/tut.jpg[/image] in MS Paint? - If so, please explain how, I'd love to know!

Ferfo -> RE: purple tag with any thing tut gimp and paint (9/6/2007 23:04:08)

with downloaded brushes, pretty much the same as pasting an image

spriting, is one example, another is making a set of plain black brushes in paint and using them, =) easy.

Dewdrop Fairy -> RE: purple tag with any thing tut gimp and paint (9/7/2007 5:28:21)

How do you make "brushes" in MS Paint?

dark glory -> RE: purple tag with any thing tut gimp and paint (9/7/2007 11:23:37)

Draw them.

Dewdrop Fairy -> RE: purple tag with any thing tut gimp and paint (9/7/2007 12:02:58)

Draw them. Uh-huh. And then? What do I do with them? And how is the picture above a "brush"? I was under the impression it is the result of using certain brushes?

pjc -> RE: purple tag with any thing tut gimp and paint (9/7/2007 12:12:12)

I'm no Paint expert myself but I could give your first question a go. :)

Draw a brush, then cut it out (with it set to transparent), hold down Shift, and drag it around. And that's some sort of brush.

dark glory -> RE: purple tag with any thing tut gimp and paint (9/7/2007 12:29:10)

ok gus can u just make it and show me ur results

Dewdrop Fairy -> RE: purple tag with any thing tut gimp and paint (9/7/2007 12:29:24)

But that's nothing but your regular old Paint option... (? Still not sure what's so sensational about it or how it would help me to draw a picture like the background above in Paint? Especially seeing as even rianwulf said it should be done in Gimp.)
You see, I do trust myself to draw a red line over the background and to download a ready-made render and paste it onto it. But I have no idea how to make a background like the one above in Paint. Self-made "brushes" or no brushes. If someone could make a tut for that? Pretty please, cherry on top?

dark glory -> RE: purple tag with any thing tut gimp and paint (9/7/2007 12:30:52)

i shall tell u if u have gimp i shall pm u with it i shall pm u with brushes link for hte 1 i used

Dewdrop Fairy -> RE: purple tag with any thing tut gimp and paint (9/7/2007 12:43:07)

Thank you, rianwulf, but that's just the point: I don't have Gimp. People were saying it was possible to do it in Paint. And seeing as I have no intention of downloading Gimp I would very much love to learn it in Paint.

dark glory -> RE: purple tag with any thing tut gimp and paint (9/7/2007 12:46:20)

it is imposible on paint but there is 1 way if u dowload gimp it would be a lot better but i can snedu a bursh but unfortantaly u cant add renders on paint

General Axe in a sack -> RE: purple tag with any thing tut gimp and paint (9/7/2007 13:17:53)

The closest I've got to anything like that with paint only. Was to use the air brush to randommly paint lines at varying speeds to give a shading effect. And then to randomly go back over with pencil set to background color. Its not near as pretty but its similar.

dark glory -> RE: purple tag with any thing tut gimp and paint (9/7/2007 13:18:50)

omg ugys it not for paint only it for gimp ass well so u see jsut make it and showc results

I'm not on my regular computer so i don't have the option to do it, but i think that i can achieve something close like this:
1. Draw a purple thick line on a new picture
2. choose a pinkish color and draw some thiner lines at the borders of the thick line
3. save this file as a .jpg format - since this format decreses the quality a bit, it will give that blury look.
4. open a new paint window and go to Edit->Paste From... and choose the line you made earlier
5. when you paste, make sure you have white as the transperent color and paste on a green area. ckean the extra white spots that you have remaining.

Repeat steps 1-3 and make some more lines in diffrent thickness and diffrent length. in order to save some times you can duplicate some of the lines and just rotate them (using the flip/rotate command)
Spray some purple on it

Final settings - just continue all the purple lines where it looks like they get cut by another pink line from above by drawing some purple on it.

Save the background itself as a jpg to make it a bit more blurry (repeat if neccesery).
then paste it like before on a new picture and add everything else
At the moment i get to my own computer - i'll post the results and see if it's effective but untill then you can try alone.
EDIT: fixed my spelling...

EDIT2:
It's not possible in paint even with the auto blurring when saving as a jpg, but please PM me dewdrop fairy, since i might have a solution for your problem...

.Passion// -> RE: purple tag with any thing tut gimp and paint (9/7/2007 17:42:36)

Why the heck do you need Paint at all? If you have gimp, you don't need paint.
