grounder890 -> GIMP fonts (5/17/2008 12:51:48)

After I download the fonts, where do I move the file?

dede5555 -> RE: GIMP fonts (5/17/2008 12:53:35)

Use this tut

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/HA010947421033.aspx

grounder890 -> RE: GIMP fonts (5/17/2008 13:00:43)

that TuT aint really working for me, isnt there an easy way to add them like there is for adding brushes?

lguan -> RE: GIMP fonts (5/17/2008 13:24:54)

Move it into the Fonts file in your control panel (assuming you're using Windows). Make sure you extract the font folder though.

grounder890 -> RE: GIMP fonts (5/17/2008 13:26:20)

yay i did it thanx guys [:D]

Bone_funny -> RE: GIMP fonts (5/17/2008 13:27:47)

go to where you saved them.then go to the start menu,my computer>local disk(C;)>documents and settings>your name>gimp>then highlight and drag the font files into the fonts folder.

grounder890 -> RE: GIMP fonts (5/17/2008 13:43:26)

Bone_funny -> RE: GIMP fonts (5/17/2008 13:44:04)

grounder890 -> RE: GIMP fonts (5/17/2008 13:45:06)

Bone_funny -> RE: GIMP fonts (5/17/2008 13:46:41)

no i meant pick your name from the list.

grounder890 -> RE: GIMP fonts (5/17/2008 13:47:41)

my name isnt there unless you mean like "my documents"

Cool Dragonz -> RE: GIMP fonts (5/17/2008 13:48:41)

(C:)/Windows/Fonts . Paste the font file there. After that, restart GIMP. That'd do enough, I think.

grounder890 -> RE: GIMP fonts (5/17/2008 13:49:36)

@cool dragonz I did that and it went to paint, word, etc but not gimp

Cool Dragonz -> RE: GIMP fonts (5/17/2008 14:10:06)

Hrm.. Have you restarted GIMP yet? Maybe you'll have to restart your computer.. :S It always works with me..

grounder890 -> RE: GIMP fonts (5/17/2008 14:23:51)

i did idk its strange

Mo -> RE: GIMP fonts (5/17/2008 14:29:45)

Go to your specific user's documents. There should be a .gimp folder. Go to the fonts folder there and paste it in there too. Then go to your fonts dialogue and press the refresh fonts button

Grafh -> RE: GIMP fonts (5/17/2008 14:33:40)

Check the stickies. You find loads of links to sites with tutorials.

I found this within 20 seconds.

If that still is not working. I would have to say its a problem with your computer. Call your support number.

Thats what I do.

Grounder when you opened the file with the fonts in it did you go to file extract all? Cause then a window will pop up and you paste "(C:)/Windows/Fonts" in the white text spacve with the browse bar under it.

Brownie -> RE: GIMP fonts (6/7/2008 8:00:04)

I've pasted it everywhere!!
There is no place that has aconnection with gimp fonts that DOESN'T contain ma deathote font...AND I NEED IT!

master -> RE: GIMP fonts (6/7/2008 9:04:50)

Does the deathnote font come in a folder cause then it may not show up....

Mo -> RE: GIMP fonts (6/7/2008 11:00:21)

I will pinpoint you to this post: In GIMP Help And Support 101 Thread II

If that doesn't work, check the file type, GIMP will only accept a few file types

Brownie -> RE: GIMP fonts (6/7/2008 19:56:44)

My deathnote font is not in a folder. It is a stand-alone TTF.
