For some reason, I think "zu" might not be understood by some people to mean "zoo." (I didn't understand it at first, either.)

I used the term zu as that's a monster in FF, which is what I thought BDR was talking about. When I see the word "zoo", I think of the place that holds all the animals. >.>

Phoenix! Hawks r nice, but not as 'advanced'. sure it is runeHAWK, but rune refers to great power wyverns r also nice, but i dont like them 2 much dragons r awesome, but they r not immortal as pheonixes are Zus r weak (i knew quickly it was the final fantasy thing)

I think the phoenix more personifies the nature of Runehawk - it's a timeless creature that knows many secrets, it has a magical element to it, and is still in keeping with the avian theme.

I voted for Phoenix. The firebirds got so many strange myths to it. The mythology of Phoenix is much more mythical compared to dragons for example. I often find dragons rather overused, so Phoenix is much better and more gracefully. Cheers Jo

Well technically, wyverns are dragons, so I do not see a point in there being separate selections for dragon and wyvern. Unless, of course, dragons mean stereotypical four-legged ones.

i just wish to point this out: some dragons, when they die, are granted the power to be a phoenix. thus, if we choose dragon, they may not be the chosen ones. phoenixes, on the other hand, are guarenteed to live forever (or die but be reborn with past life wisdom)

WTH - we're called RuneHAWK - not Runedragon, Runephoenix, Runerats or whatever. It'd be kinda silly having a pet/mascot be something other than what's already in our name...
