I'm working on a little introductory guide to symbolic logic (what else would you expect from a philosophy/English double major? :P), and thought some of you might be interested in the subject matter. Please, tell me what you think, and pipe up if something is unclear and/or doesn't make sense to you.

Aha. Concise, but confusing too. Especially the part about validity. I'm slow. Not used to dealing with symbolic logic. Great guide, but the more I read, the less I recognized the functions in real life. Maybe less used for debates and more used as proofs. Still...the more you know.

Maybe you should try explaining rhetoric next? Works wonders.

I graduated with a BA in Philosophy, so this is right up my alley. You did a good job of describing Propositional Logic. Have you gotten into any of the other types of Logic?
