TreadLight -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/8/2009 14:53:22)

Aelthai had just posted this thread in the WarpForce Bugs sub-forum: http://forums2.battleon.com/f/fb.asp?m=16298116
quote:

The Asteroids mission is available again.
Knowing this, I think you should go ahead and try clearing your cache (maybe even your cookies, or even restarting your web browser, or maybe even restart your computer) to get this to work again.

mickey 209 -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/8/2009 15:09:13)

Does the Tronzor-VR guy remind anyone else of Spiderman 3,the background looks like a web too....yes,I can do the asteroid mission again too

Aelthai -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/8/2009 15:14:48)

The Asteroids mission was actually fixed (and the fix confirmed) yesterday, I forgot to post the notice until today.

I *did* have to clear my cache for it to become available; that should be all that is needed.

Hagen -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/8/2009 17:05:31)

And what about the Moon Base mission?
Can it be repeated or is it no longer accessible after finishing it? (It seems to me to be like that...)

da boss -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/8/2009 17:07:36)

How are people geting Z tokens? From the contest or the Ballyhoo glitch?

viviperous -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/8/2009 17:47:18)

@da boss

You go to buy Z-tokens for your character in AQ and you can select your WarpForce character I believe.

khalim456 -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/8/2009 18:06:18)

Reached level 10.

And since I could post feedback here I would like to say that when you reach level 10 with minimal effort and no stats all the way, you know sometime is severely wrong with the Player/Monster power balance.

I never died once, nor did I have to use any of my potions. The trainer in WF is slightly more challenging than the one in AQ, in a more time-consuming button-mashing way, but still challenging nevertheless, so I should be happy I guess...

Maybe Beta in AE games are supposed to be easy?

wiseman111 -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/8/2009 18:09:30)

well in my opinoin it not easy getting to lvl 10 without a lot of effort

Other_Guy_27 -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/8/2009 18:10:52)

@khalim456
50 stat points make a noticeable difference, but not big enough to make or break your character. Post-beta you'll notice the "skyboy build" become less and less viable as you level. However, considering that in WF stats are cheap to train there is no real reason not to once the formulas are given.

Kairon -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/8/2009 18:43:26)

Well, I'm enjoying the beta so far. They fixed the shop apperance, which was one of the main things bugging me.

Currently my biggest problem is with the battle interface, specifically the attack button. While I apperciate the game providing me with further options for attack, it means an additional click for each attack. In my mind, if an action is to be repetitive and used often, it should be streamlined as much as possible. If you could move the menu so that the "default attack" is the one directly under the attack button, instead of the gauntlet attack, that would solve the problem for me, ala the newer classes in AQ.

Other_Guy_27 -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/8/2009 18:46:00)

^ I agree with that 100%. It gets to be kind of a pain.

Plushie -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/8/2009 18:47:25)

No pain, no gain[:D]

earth breather -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/8/2009 18:54:02)

Was Bane -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/8/2009 19:29:48)

Does Anyone know when we can upgrade to gaurdian?

Nidmantis -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/8/2009 19:49:47)

Was Bane:

Only Staff know about that.

Was Bane -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/8/2009 19:55:25)

Simple Enough.[:D]

Vaulen -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/8/2009 19:57:32)

Anybody have a pic of the Retro?

Nightly -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/8/2009 20:04:18)

Retro Battlesuit

^From the pedia.

legomaster00156 -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/8/2009 20:35:52)

Awesome, I am now at the level cap! I'm not sure if I'll ever get rid of either my Glador or my Advanced Retro. My Advanced Retro will always be my reminder of being a Beta Tester, and my Glador has been loyal to me from the very beginning.

Nightly -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/8/2009 20:37:27)

I'm keeping both the Retro and Advanced Retro, simply because of looks :D

mech mayhem -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/8/2009 23:10:09)

WF is live alsome.Im am gonna purchase a warp G as soon as I get the $. My favortite monster in wf is the alien zard nice design

TW25 -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/8/2009 23:17:43)

Well I have to say the improvements made are impressive. I especially like the new shiny shop interface.

vezha -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/8/2009 23:36:31)

I capped in one day. I got the best equipment I could find, and I have plenty leftover gold. Fear my Retro and Advanced Retro armors! I'll never sell either of them.

agreed 102%, I'm hoping that once we get out of these boring default armours (and retro) that'll change

Not exactly the point I was making, but I'll follow up on what you're saying. You mention that the "skyboy build" will become less and less viable as you level after beta. However, it is my view that the skyboy build should not even be viable in the early beta stages. Beta is the time period in which the staff irons out the bugs and the imbalances, such a significant player/monster power imbalance should not be ignored and fixed only after the game goes Gamma, Beta is the time to fix things. I know that 10 levels are not much leeway to make that big a difference in terms of power, but I managed to get to level 10 without dying, without using a single potion and also without training stats. That, in my perspective, is a very big no-no.

And to clarify, what I mean by 'minimal effort' is actually regarding how much strategy and thinking I put into the game. So far all I did was just look at the opponent's weakest resistance, select an item that corresponds and button-mash my way to victory. I don't even have to look because I know I'll win regardless. Not much strategy nor thinking to be observed there, methinks.
