Darius

It wasn't a bug. They were just updating the website. And yes you can play.

Shadz -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/17/2009 9:45:10)

nah, I think they are working on the regular Warpforce.com site to add design notes and stuff. You can still play on AQ's version though

joshskim -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/17/2009 9:58:03)

Black Arrow -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/17/2009 10:19:35)

*/me looks blankly at the Control Menu and is worried he might not get the hang of it but suddenly says:

Hmm.... Good thing I play Archknight and memorized their controls which nearly looks like WF's but more primitive... Tommorrow is the day Beta is over huh?

silver knight -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/17/2009 10:31:01)

its released fully today but tommorrow is the first full day of non beta

adexab -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/17/2009 10:31:34)

i just saw the new battle interface and i got to say that it goes very well with the game(all the buttons)
cant wait for the whole release
but i cant wait for warp guardian

mujie -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/17/2009 10:39:17)

What time does non-beta start?

Other_Guy_27 -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/17/2009 10:40:12)

I just hope this thread doesn't get as spammy as the "=WF= Beta Release Today!" threads. once 3:00 started approaching they got ridiculously spammy. [image]http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c220/The_Other_Guy_27/smileys/nospam.gif[/image] Unfortunately some spam is inevitable, especially if they have to delay the release again.

Black Arrow -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/17/2009 10:45:12)

@mujie:Eh.... Errm... When AE wakes up to do it, but seriously, we don't know.

@The_Other_Guy27: This is what always happens when AE releases a new game, get used to it. :P

Vale Defender -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/17/2009 10:58:28)

I... LOVE the new battle interface. I've memorized where the AQ buttons are, and when I went to double check that my secondary had a Retro, I clicked attack instead of where the Battlesuit button used to be.

One slip-up, but I love it now.

The intro still uses the old one as an example, though.

~Quiet Beserker~ -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/17/2009 11:14:38)

One question. I heard there were two items only available in beta. Can someone tell me what they are? I already know about the Retro Battlesuit. Thanks!

Nightly -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/17/2009 11:15:47)

~Quiet Beserker~

The two Beta items is the Retro Battlesuit and the Advanced Retro Battlesuit.

Knightstar2001 -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/17/2009 11:16:32)

I'll check WF out after I get off of work today,maybe by then they will have fully released the game and I can upgrade my character then. After which I will have to change my weapon set up as I will be able to go after the guardian weapons and level up to get the higher level weapons. Battle On!!

Z. Daniel Phoenix -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/17/2009 11:28:55)

I do not post on the forums here as AE Games have always been a fun few hour session at a time for me. I've been happily playing since 2003 and have tried to support the AE Games themselves in anyway I can. From recruiting friends for Guardianship (and later X-Guardianship), to sending out links to every AE game as they were made to gamer sites. And this is the first time I've been angered by AE's choices. And so far, the only time I feel betrayed by an independent.

This is supposed to be (or at least advertised to be) an expansion to AQ right? It is advertised as such... and I have to pay to be a guardian yet again?

I am beyond disappointed.

This seriously should not have been called an expansion to the original AdventureQuest then. I wouldn't be in the least upset with Artix Ent. IF they called it a sequel in more places then they've called it an expansion. Because a sequel defines itself as a separate game, not an expansion upon AdventureQuest.

With AQW being so young and storyline chapters that feel like they're stalling for time, how can AE hold up with yet another game? Especially one that reviewers and users in this forum are already referring to lightly as an AQ clone?

This appears to be a poor choice and false advertising to me. I've loyally bought membership with every game in the catalog. Even before there was content worth a membership (MechQuest for example). I firmly believe in supporting what you enjoy, so let's not debate about "everyone wants something for free".

bushwitch -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/17/2009 11:38:07)

it is a game in itself as well as an expansion - thus the seperate charge, but we did get the pleasure of being beta testers in the game - that in itself is a bit of a reward

When it is possible to upgrade here I will be upgrading at least two of my characters - the rest will have to wait till later on (hmm 2 out of five - I always give myself these difficult choices to make

Other_Guy_27 -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/17/2009 11:44:20)

Star Wars Jedi Knight: Mysteries of the Sith was considered an expansion despite the fact it was a standalone full-length game that didn't interact with Jedi Knight in any way, shape, or form. It was a storyline expansion, as is WF. WF is not an expansion pack like The Sims: Hot Date. Besides, even expansion packs require you to pay for them. Plus think of all the new content AE dishes out every week at no charge.

Greystone554 -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/17/2009 11:49:32)

honestly im a tad disapointed with the beta rares :/

PowerFusion50 -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/17/2009 12:04:24)

I think they're good.

goat257 -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/17/2009 12:06:50)

Woah, I just realized that tomorrow is my birthday. Asking for Warp-Guardianship should be easy then.

Other_Guy_27 -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/17/2009 12:10:13)

Since I'll be Guardianizing as soon as the release comes out, I'll probably never use it again, but it was quite useful through the beta. Besides, with the eventual level cap being 100, do you really expect a level 10 item to remain forever useful?

Kint -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/17/2009 12:23:08)

It would be really nice if they would make the Advanced retro armor your Defualt. < so it doesn't take up another slot for us later down the road. Currently my Aq toon has 17/20 armor slots filled and with Armors and weapons as prizes it would be really nice if we could have a bonus invo that would let us keep our "Prize/Gift/Bonus" gear as it tends to be a little usless to us later but still a point of player pride.

mickey 209 -> RE: =WF= Beta Release is Live! III (7/17/2009 12:25:57)

Must..hear...all...new...sound effects!

As a level 10 armor it definitely won't be better than the Guardian armor and won't even be better than the adventurer no-drop down the road so why would you want it to replace it?.
