Okay, so I've been playing this game for the last few days and my honest opinion of it is... Warpforce isn't that good. Okay, I know its a direct sequal to the origional AQ, but its too like AQ for my tastes. Yes its got all the new weapons etc, and the battle system is a little different... but AQ is pretty outdated by todays standards and building a game on its engine seems kinda pointless when they could have used DF's engine and the game would have looked and played alot better in my mind. Looks aside... the game isn't as pretty as the AE games built on the newer engines like DF, MQ and AQW, the gameplay is where WF suffers most for me. Most of the quests take too long to play... being forced to sit through the long cutscenes between fights just gets really boring when your wanting to do a quest over again, and even the first time around I kept feeling the urge to scream at the screen 'Get on with it already!'. Add to that you do so little damage that battles take ages to fight, the battles just aren't as enjoyable to play as the other games... and since the battles are pretty much the entire game... While I'm all for games with a good plot and storyline, WF comes across as a little too talkie, not enough action. I'm willing to give WF another chance seeing as how new it is, but I can't see myself being a continual WF player. I agree with some point of this comment. While I don't mind the AQ engine (I love basic RPG, and graphics doesnt matter much to me, though it's true the game look at many place outdated), what is bothering me is that it seems the game will use the same format we saw in AQ during the Devourer Saga. Tons of dialogue that we don't care much about, and little bit of gameplay between each dialogue segment. I admit that even when seeing the cutscenes of a quest for the very first time, I was starting to skip text-buble after the first 4-5 ones because of how boring it was, and how long it was dragging. I know this game scenario will please to some, but for me I'm really fearing that I will do like I'm doing in AQ, skip most of the text in them because they annoy me. DF, MQ and AQW just seems to understand the fact that many of use like short play-through when playing a web-browser game. AQ and now WF seems to have difficulties understanding that. Anyway, that's just my opinion, and the game just started, so it's too soon to know if it will always be like that, but it doesnt look good. As a good point thoug, now the quests are more organized, and we are not lost like in AQ about what we need to do to follow each quest in order of progression. So if we care a little bit about the story, I guess it's a good thing
