Got to lvl 8 and beat the dragon so here's my feedback.

Gameplay was good, minus the lag experienced when Beta first started. Obviously lowering the graphics, hiding wep and muting music helped.

Still had a bit of lag when I had shield up espc if I was try to spell cast at the same time.

Monsters difficulty was pretty good tho it did take me a while before beating the banshee and only accomplished that after getting the Merc Gnomes, I think Id have needed to farm more for XP since even at lvl 4 I had a difficult time. I think players who dont have access to getting BP so they can get all the shiny fancy stuff might have a hard time with this to start.

Spellcasting...at first I had a pretty hard time. I got better with practice but even at the end with the dragon it was kinda hard, hoping that might be able to be changed a bit.

My only real suggestion is maybe making the Merc Gnomes have a cool down period so they can be used again during a specific fight. Maybe not the same Gnome as before but since I have two and cant use both in a fight, it seemed pretty silly to buy more then one. I did since I assumed there was a cool down for them.

Graphics were good, I like the style it has. Skipping cutscenes would be a nice add since all the clicking is kind of annoying.

Very addictive XD I beat it in two days (assuming you cant get farther then the dragon...) probably could have done it in one if Id had an open day. Achievements are nice and I like how it keeps track of kills, defeats, hits, Jimmy the Eye sightings XD

Looking forward to seeing what happens when it goes live and still gonna work on those achievements and getting the rest of the BP stuff.

I think that there should be a easier way to check all the achievement's and also i found a very good but cheap glitch. Sometimes while fighting a monster my shield grew a white shard on it that made the enemy not able to take down the shield stamina!!! >:0. While very use full it was cheap and should be removed. I also found that the spell "shield" was very use full because I beat the beta so far by only using the level 5 axe and only going to level 6!!!! :D. Fun game though good job!!!!!!!!

This was an overall fun chalanging game.
some times its just a little to hard at first EX: Undead boss and 3rd dragon phase
add more to it plz lvl 10 30/31 achivment
how is dieing 100times an achivment?

I love the game, but I would like to see a fullscreen mode. The reason being is I have a tendency to shoot my mouse off screen and click elsewhere. It messes me up in battle, and sometimes makes me lose. Although I may be slice and dice crazy, this still would help.

I like the game a lot, but I find that after you practice a little and figure out the attack patterns of the monsters, it becomes a little too easy, especially when you have a mercenary gnome and potions. It would be cool if there was some kind of hard mode, otherwise it will be difficult for me to get the "died X times" achievements :D

I also second the idea of a fullscreen mode, because I too ended up clicking elsewhere or scrolling when I wanted to attack sometimes.

Other than that, it is absolutely amazing and I really hope it will be expanded in the future. [:)]

It's a good game, the only problem with it is that it's so laggy I can't beat 2 monsters at once.

Just three major problems that stuck out to me:


  • Lag
    Seems to be a lot of movement in the game when battling so fighting can be difficult even with the quality set to low, weapon is hidden, and the music is muted. Try to make it lag-free as much as possible.
  • Screen Play
    When your waving your mouse all over the game, you tend to go out of the game screen making your game-play a bit harder. A solution is to make the screen bigger on the site just like how you can choose the size of the game screen on AQWorlds.
  • Save Data
    Apparently there is problems saving the character. I did everything up to killing the dragon in the game. Then when I decided to login again it started all over even when I tried to load my character. Pretty bad considering if you put a lot of time into the game for it.


Thats my feedback on improving it. Other than that, the game is not that bad, something new.

A fullscreen option would be nice, so that sword swings that extend past the perimeter don't get aborted.

OMG why am i back level 1?

i had saved the gamewhen i was at level 10 (got 28 achievements too) but now im at level 1 100 gold only. but the hero stats shows that i still have all 28 achievments but eveything else like cast count swing count is back to 0

guys help! any suggestions?

all those spells, tougher to access, especially since the only quick-way to get a spell, is through 1 button, V. The game could implement the ability to set spells to buttons z,xand c so players can swap between defensive and offensive casting.

Fullscreen mode does sound nice, although there's something else I'd like to offer, and I'm not sure if it's been brought up before, the ability to "freelance" spells.
I mean, the ability to not have a spell equipped, so that when you use V, you can any spell, and not be restricted in terms of "You must follow this path for this spell". If you know the spell by heart, you can cast it without worrying about equipping it beforehand. It also allows you to actually use more than one spell with V.
Considering V is your only option of quick casting, I think this could help a bit for the experienced players.

If anyone watches Suite Life of Zack and Cody, there was one episode where Zack and Moseby got addicted to an online game quite similar to WoW or AQWorlds. To attack with their characters, they swung a plastic wand or sword, which was connected to their PCs. I thought it would be kinda cool if AE could release some sort of peripheral like that for BladeHaven. That'd be epic.

just some feedback on BLADEHAVEN

its hard to play because it uses a mouse click / mouse motion to attack and the pointer often leaves the game screen and makes it difficult to attack properly and is especially difficult to use stronger attacks due to that

also i know the game is in beta but the game severely lags when i use a shield when i use my shield it takes like 5 seconds for it to stop using shield from the point i stopped raising it so it lowers randomly

its really hard to guard with shield and then go attack again because its laggy for a while after the shield is used and its difficult to control the swords when its laggy


just feedback would like to see improvements in those areas

I think the game is great, save one MAJOR hole: having to pay REAL MONEY to get basic RPG facets like weapons! I could understand mercs but reallY!

Honestly i really enjoyed the game from start to finish and to the end of both survivals. My only 2 problems would be the slow framerate sometimes when casting a spell with your shield up and the game is easy once you get the doom shield+weapon,gnome and firestrike spell.

Like it was suggested maybe a hard mode or some kind of advanced survival mode would mix things up a little bit. Also to note maybe enabling more hotkeys for spells would be nice, 3 would be perfect really but other than that it was a great new expierence, thanks.

Some things that I noticed:

-Sometimes I click outside of the screen, so when I hit space bar, I scroll the page down. I suggest widening the game screen to fit.
-Multiple spells, with hotkeys for each. This would make the game a little less monotonous and would make the alchemy circle minigame a bit more fun.
-I know that this has been exhausted to a shriveled form, but free players should have more freedom. I am not saying that you should unlock all of the cool features, I am just saying that free players should have SOMETHING that makes the game experience more than just a demo for "buy our stuff".
Other than that, a neat little game that I can waste my time on. Good job!

Heh, i beat everything without BP stuff.
Not that i had a choice anyway.
Well, only actual challenge was that Undead Queen and Dragon, of course.
I wish i could find more Jimmy The Eyes, as those seem to be extinct at the moment...

I bought BP before, and had 140 as bonus...Thank god for that, I got a non-memby pet in AQW (I bought Merc Contract) and got a very powerful pet. He pwnzzzzzz!!!

This game is very cool...I hope in the future, more story will be released...a different story...

I enjoyed playing this game as well. It's a nice change of pace from the other AE games, which is always nice. I definitely wouldn't mind if AE decided to turn this into a full-fledged game with regular updates and more storyline. And not necessarily weekly updates, too. I wouldn't mind even monthly updates if AE felt that would be less demanding. It's a great game.

I been seeing bugs and alot of lagging,but not always most of the time the game is great and I have know hateful opinion of this game. I think Artix did a great job and who ever helped him great job.

with the way they neutered the shield spell (slow cast AND only heals up to 75% not past that) pretty much makes it useless and screwing the already limited free players is just mean... =/

i mean its just impossible to beat 75 monsters for free players now when they MAY have had a low chance with the old shield spell(no healing over 75 battles? =o ).

this game is just TOO much money based to be even a demo.

dragon already can kill the shield fast enough now its just impossible. x.x

I agree with Triplestrike, the shield spell is pretty much useless now. It was really nice before with the quick cooldown, but now... Pointless, making the survival mode pretty much impossible for free players. =(

I agree about the Shield (even I bought everything). I say, ok, 75% is just a thing to rebalanced, BUT the cooldown is way too high, just toooooo high. I highly suggest staff to make the cooldown shorter. I agree that AE want people to buy, but not to quit because the game too hard.

Some comparing:

Old Shield:
100% Stamina can block around 5-7 hits
the cooldown make player take around 5 hits

New one:
75% Stamina can block around 3-5 hits
the cooldown make player take around 12-15 hits (that's A LOT)

And that make you lost around 250-300 HP already, and it's like 80- 90% of players HP!

The Shield I suggest
75% Stamina can block around 3-5 hits
the cooldown make player take around 5-6 hits

Pretty tire, each time using Shield they lose some HP, at least 1 hit if do it skillfully. The battle is really long, and you might need to use Shield more than 8-10 times, and that's nearly 90% HP. I can say it's pretty fair amount.

Surprisingly good game, I enjoyed it a lot in the Beta stages. ;D
One thing is that I would find it better if the required monsters to slay would be lowered from 75 to 70.
This would make it easier for people who don't pay to reach it, plus I had 43 at first, then I got 65, then 74, and now I'm not really motivated to try again.
For the rest, I still get the 'shield' glitch very often. (your shield gets glitched and shows up all the time but doesn't block attacks)
