The Tech mage have nothing to increase tech or dex, you may say well there is technician and defense matrix but they really not that effective because myself as a tech mage with enegry wepons have defeated tech mages with lvl 10 technician on but the mercs bloodshield have been buffed again having better protection from energy and physical attacks more so of energy attacks. Then you got the bounties having so much items to increase their dex to over 100. so because mercs and bounties have so many things to increase their defense and resistance gives them the advantage of abusing one stat or another, a couple of mercs that are playing are abusing tech to make the bunker buster even deadlier then ever before so with very high tech that makes all mage attacks basically ineffective. So now how many of you consider my idea of making Assimilation unblockable and take away 30+ points of energy too extreme or allowing the mage to combine a physical and energy armor giving the added bonus points to both defense and resistance. Incorporate both these suggestions you will see many retrains among bounties and mercs were they have to lower the points to the stat they are abusing to put into energy.

Gold Shock -> RE: Strength Abusing Noobs (4/3/2011 17:35:37) When Tech Mages heal looped, mercs had to figure a way around this overpowerd build, hence the word "anti-mage" builds. I can recall my friend Beastmo made the build. Accomadated with high hp it solved the problem. So simple just create a build that is "anti" str merc and go from there. I use a maxed Surgical Strike build that has no problem with str mercs. I myself switched from my passive 5+ SS builds and tryed it. I'm horrible with it and had a 75% and went back. So i assume it does take judgement and skill. Link Anti builds arn't hard to make...deal with it mages.. GoldShock Knight [IMG][/IMG] tags removed. Please don't use them in regular posts in the GD. GEt a mage with a high dex, and a not as high resist but energy armor, give it technician lvl 4 and defence matrix level 3, so it can boost either defence to 50+, and (insert defence to primary wep if needed) gun, malf, assimilate, heal (if needed), gun, strike/robot, etc. Its not that difficult a build to make, and with those stats you can have a satisfactory strength and support, and still have the 94 health most mages desire. Oh, and the amount of times this guy could get blocked with such low dex, i mean most berzerkers on str mercs i come across seem to fail epicly, along with most else they do. Just because a mass build isnt widely used against these, doesnt mean it cannot be. assimilate can stop their berzerker anyway..
