Mercs are still the kings of 2 on 2.. why? because they are op in 2 on 2s.. They can tank pretty well because of their hybrid armor and their resistance armors.. So they can defend well and also do lots of dmg by abusing the support stat.. Worst of all it that their Multi ignores defense while the multis of other classes dont..

First of all, mercs arent that much powerful in 2v2. Despite their super high support in 2v2, if 2 five focus hunters fight them, they're more likely to emp them all the time which ruins the mercs' main strategy. Mages however, have a different and more difficult task in getting wins in 2v2.

that's IF they fight focus BHs but what if they fight mages with low dex? It spells total doom for the mages

I dony think same with you i think mages is good in 2vs2 but Bhs need a buff , and yes Mercs is kings on 2vs2 and will continue because their Multi is increase with support , if admins change Plasma Rain to str increase than mages will become oped. In this game only STR and Support do something dex and tech is only for defence.

@Turkish Tech only for defense??? Not at all my friend. I have a extremely successful tech based merc build that works in both 1v1 and 2v2. Support isn't the only trick in a mercs bag.

lol +5 builds fail for BH's AND mage's, mages end up having 90 hp with +5, and BH must have a sword, and high emp in order to be successful in 2vs2. i believe its not the class.. its the partner. your partner sucks? you lose! thats why i chose 1vs1.. but anyways mercs r not always successful, just emp them make sure u have a max of 50 emp and a good def, thats it..

@Dungeonhunter You sure?I know mages fail with it but I seen quite a few BH that use it and its pretty effective.

I started a non-varium mage character last sunday.
Today (thursday) it has the following stats:

level 25
1v1 wins, losses: 0
2v2 wins, losses: 335, 122

most mercs i see in 2v2 have much lower win-loss ratio.
i don't see a problem here.

all classes are ok in 2v2 u just need a right build and u can win 2v2. 2v2 is also luck you get a umm useless partner and u r doomed. your partner decides to leave and u r doomed. worse combo u can meet in 2v2 is 2 support mercs. but there are lots of types of support mercs. 49 energy,61 energy, low hp,81 hp,41 energy. the low hp and low energy once are easy to handle with just a emp which does 30 or more. for NON var mages it is way harder unless u go round abusing support too. if u see 2 merc on def mat lvl 3. the malf 1 of them. target 1 of them and ask your partner to do energy atk on the malfed merc. most merc dun carry assault bot anymore cause they have the all powerful gamma bot. now that is how my mage kills in 2v2. as for my bh i spam support and rely on my barriers, EMP and zooka. i m still trying to perfect my bh in 2v2 because it is non var and non var bh are weak without rares.

Mercenaries are a little overpowered in 2 versus 2 at the moment, if you notice they hold the all time standings in 2 versus 2, but many lower level tech mages and bounty hunters seem to have a strong grasp on the daily 2 versus 2 category.
