Soliqe -> The Solution to All Balance Issues. (3/18/2011 21:19:29)

First off, I'm prepared and ready to be trolled by the complaints that you all will NO DOUBT bestow upon me after this thread. Most of you will hate my guts, some of you might actually have the courage to agree with me. (Bless your heart) We all know the main issue of balance, stat abuse. One of the most know being Strength and Support. There is a solution to this one that is very simple and easy to understand. EpicDuel I introduce you to the known, but unknown to this community(obviously) concept of stat caps. NO! NO! NO! No freaking way?!? :O Am I insane? (most definitely ^^) You all have undoubtedly begun freaking out and are about to go rampaging over this thread saying I'm an idiot, but please hold all flattery until the end of this post. Stat caps are actually "normal" they prevent said stat abuse and are ideal for games like ours. "Make sure the cap is really high so I won't be effected..." WRONG. The point is too effect us and effect us all. (I honestly hope it does) The rules for the stat caps are as follows: -Actual Stat points and Mods are combined -Mods cannot go over the stat cap My suggested number for the cap is 112. There is no plausible reason to have 112 stats+mods into one stat. It's the true cause of overpowered builds. "But... but... I need to beat "NPC here" and if I'm forced to actually think and use my brains I may just die!" Do not worry my over-exaggerated spoiled friend, you will not die over a stat cap. STAT CAPS CAN BE INCREASED AS THE LEVEL CAP INCREASES ^^^ for the nay-sayers (are you still stalking me? HOLY CRAP GO AWAY! D:) I already know many of you believe this would be a horrible solution. It's really not. How many of you actually have 112 stat points? Excluding Strength Mercenaries because we know you just blow up that stat like no one's business. It's a solution to the stat abuse problem and I'm willing to support it. I don't know about you, but I'm tired of being smacked around, and then having my shield not work because of stat abuse.
