so now that people are familiar with encumberance, it allows u to equip a weapon thats higher lvl but reduce the damage of the weapon, (stats however aren't affected, idk why but i dont want to see lvl 27-29s with as much stat modifiers as a lvl 33)
now the main concern for me with this is. however the opposite of encumberance?
for example
u equip a weapon like
Mjolnir
or
Caden's Wrath

as u can see caden's wrath has +22 damage and requires lvl 28
Mjolnir has +20 damage and requires lvl 23
what if encumberance were to work the opposite way aswell?
like if ur lvl 33 non varium, with mjolnir the damage on mjolnir increase from +20 to +30 because ur lvl 33
like u get extra damage for every lvl AHEAD of the lvl req on it.
same goes for caden's wrath
lvl 28 and it could be increase to +27 damage at lvl 33
this would work well if old items that are low lvl get extra damage because ur a higher lvl.
(maybe a little TINY bit of stat boost? like +1 stat for every 2 lvls ahead of the wep requirement?)

anyone get what im saying?
this would help non variums after the stat reduction release (i figured i would put these 2 weps as great examples since they are commonly used among their respective classes as non variums)

give some feedback and tell me what u think of this idea.

its +5 damage on caden's wrath if ur lvl 33
and +10 if u use mjolnir.
2 diff items

the mjolnir cant do that much dmg thats 33 dmg...

u mean +30
the damage is lvl +20
at lvl 23 now add +10 damage if ur lvl 33 and u get 30
ur confusing the damages on the weps. one is caden's wrath and the other one is mjolnir.

Good idea, but they want lower levels to buy the rare weapons that come out with each release.

This idea is good in theory, but because this was made to boost sales, putting your idea in would actually lower sales, because more people would feel less of a need for a better weapon if an old one does just as much damage. It would undermine the entire system.

If the game was perfect and focused on providing a great experience to the gamer then yes. But seeing as that is not the case i doubt this will ever make its way into the game...

As for encumberance... I think it's fine. The purpose of it was to nerf stat abuse builds. However, maybe raise the cut off to 60(or 55), 50 is a wee bit too soon.

As for your idea, I love it. :)

u forget varium still has more power and more stats.
altho what if it happened to varium only items?
or better yet
only be able to raise damage by 5 lvls
example mjolnir does 20 at lvl 28 and after it will do +25
and on caden's it will do +22 and lvl 33 it will do +27
basicaly saying the most u points u can raise the NON VARIUM weps by is 5
while its 10 for the varium ones.
this way it allows for non varium to be a bit stronger but not nearly as strong as the varium ones.
+imagine bunnyzookas with +37 damage at lvl 33 :D
or any other zooka for that matter.
or guns like imperial acp which is actualy +29 damage when the gun gives +18 stat mods at lvl 30
at lvl 33 it would be +32 damage, make it more fair for such a good gun.

It's 4 levels, that's kinda odd because you only need to be at level 28 and then you can get many of the best gears in game

Get it is one thing, sure, but after getting the "best" items, thing get a lot less interesting honestly

And yes it's also about sense and balance

Personally I still like the Scaling, but I want it to be more balanced and useful. Here's my idea:

-2 lv: -2 damage
-1 lv: -1 damage
0 lv: 0
+1lv: +1 damage
+2lv: +2 damage

So basically you can only get items 2 levels higher than your level but you can also get damage bonus after the base level (which make some weapon more useful...)

It's fine as it is, now lower lvls have at least some hope to beat higher lvls.

the idea benefited varium players greatly. and barely benefited the non varium.
its all good saying a non var can use a far better item earlier but you need credits to actually buy it which
is the one thing you are short of right up to level 29-30 [when you should buy the best non var armor]

anyways it basially give u extra damage and maybe a stat or two for having a weapon thats lower lvl than u.

Yeah I agree with 8x.
It gives lower levels a chance because they don't get very decent weps.
If you look at the difference between level 29 and level 30 weapons for example you will see

i mean normal weapons are ok but limited rares should be off.
to be hounest us high level's could be using these to they're full power when a level 29 can come and just use it and lose damage.
please change limited rares to set lvl's

The only thing that benefitted non variums last update was the huge gigantic nerf on George Lowe. Even my level 28 non varium merc defeated him. Every person realised my so called "heroic" discovery when I made fun of him at facebook, they all asked me a build and now since he got rebuffed once again, this update crippled non variums oh and about level requirement scale, I don't think its overpowered or too much.

I myself tried a new account with all the new updates.... was GREAT got my mage to level 20 in 4 hours playing time with nice equips, but I like this suggestion of a weapon increasing in damage after a period of time (low level equipment need to last a LONG time if you want armor)

i like this idea it helps Varium make there gear have some roll over value and F2P's hows best gear modifer wise which is lower level then them

I agree to a point.
It should only work within a few levels.
Mjolnir with 30 damage and 25 stats for a non varium? Are you nuts?
Or perhaps 46 damage basic clubs?
It should only extend maybe 3 levels, otherwise you get to some low leveled weapons becoming a bit too powerful.
