He Who Lurks -> Should The Rixty Set Get Upgraded? (4/12/2011 15:18:48)

From what I could gather, the promotion ended on 26th of April for set so perhaps the set could be upgraded after that period of time. I think it would be awesome for the set to be revamped(damage wise) since they're not used very often and as a way to reward players who supported the promotion of the rixty set. What do you guys think?

Though I do not have a rixty. I believe that it should and so should all promo's. Bunnyzooka has increased it's damage by 1 so it's now +34.

Rixty is +31 and may need to change to +33.

I don't know about the beta weapons, but I do think that ALL promo's should get upgraded.

I dont have rixties but i support they need buff , their design is awesome more players should use them

Don't see why they can't get a small damage buff ( +1 or +2 ) but definitly not a stat boost, their stats are standard compared to current weapons. Too be honest, I don't know why some people have both the Rixty Ripper and Dragon Buster when they're exactly the same, guess they have their reasons.

@Nebula: Dragon Buster gives 2 more dexterity, Rixty Ripper gives 2 more support. Soul Ripper=Dragon Buster, but it is energy. Maybe someone wanted a physcial sword so they got Dragon Buster.

Because Rixty doesn't have 35 Strength requirement and Dragon Buster has 10 in Dexterity, while Rixty has 10 in Support. Those small changes are sometimes very important to some builds.

After Alpha and Founders, they were the first true rare weapon of the AE/ED era. One of the most inexpensive value promo weapons ever. For I think $15 dollars, I got varium and 2 free Rixtys. My merc alt, JZaadu carries them.

if it gets a damage buff it should only be +1
its already got +34 stats total.

My apologies, you are correct. The Rixty and Soul were the first lvl 31 weapons (Use a Rixty Card between April 13 and April 26 2010.)

The Bunny set was released prior (Use an Upgrade Card to buy a Varium package between March 26 and April 11 2010.).


Very close together, and both have held up well over time.

Rixty is a payment provider. Its just a company name which does the same things as a UGC. Although in the game, it was made into weapons to those who used their services.

Alpha Weapons should get a serous Buff such as, 32-33 damage and Stat mods 22-25. Yes thats as good as most Promo Varuim items but very select few ppl still play that have em. So it would be a nice reward to them.

they should just release lvl 32-33 versions of them

I don't care much for small dmg buffs (it'd be nice but completely unnecessary) I mean, rixties just aren't probably stat-ed (soul/rixty rippers lack in phys. def or res.) and even when buffed with 1/2 more dmg, frostbane/azreal's bane weps will still outclass them in usefulness more times than not

also about the alpha testers, they've gotten a badge that gave as much rating points as founder, I don't think they need "free" top-notch varium equipment too, the most the staff should do for them is buff their weps rarity so that they have an easier chance of getting the rare hunter achievement

Are you aware they number of Alpha players that still play are extremely small, so i dont see how a set of nice Alpha only weapons would hurt. Tbh the only Alpha 32 ik that isnt varuim is Trucos.

Remember, Alphas were the FIRST ones to play the game, and all they've gotten is some useless claws and a badge that is worth 5k points. Realizing the betas want the buff, the're being greedy, they're the SECOND ones to play the game, therfore, they received 3500 points and some outstanding weapons.

Even though i dont have Rixty or i'm an alpha, but the alphas NEED a buff. The're only 10 - 40 of them left, the're being extinct, the reason for them to quit, was because they didn't have enough respect, if you give the alphas a boost, i'll insure most alphas would come back.

The Rixty do need a buff, though, only a small 1 - 3 damage boost.

1 damage is enough all seasonals (and rares) get buffed by 1 damage so should this one.

@Goldslayer1 Don't know how the "- 3" got into my post, but you are correct. 1 damage boost should be enough, unless a new equipment comes out with a unbelievable/insane damage

I agree with both buffs for Rixty/Soul and Alpha. All these weapons are part of an historic time line and should never be disregarded as the game continues to progress.

Rixty should get +1 damage. Alpha weapons probably won't ever be buffed since people got them for free.

Hell no. The first time it was released last year, people complained that it was so weak in stats and 1 damage stronger than frostbane. Those who bought it had a refund in the next week and it became stronger so since it was buffed long ago, I don't support this :P.
