Uh... I also don't understand , but what can we do, it's the Internet's fault.
PS: Males go female to enter GoB :D

Cinderella -> RE: Men playing female characters (5/5/2011 15:50:10)

I have several male alts. It's not that uncommon for people to play characters of another gender. It's a role playing game

Timsii -> RE: Men playing female characters (5/5/2011 15:53:54)

IMO, male characters just look weird, which is why I made a female account..Looks better.

xxmirxx -> RE: Men playing female characters (5/5/2011 15:59:32)

So why do guys lie say your female when not or male. there is no shame just say your male if your in female character or female doing same. But when you keep secret thats just wired and creepy to.

Agiluz -> RE: Men playing female characters (5/5/2011 16:01:27)

Well i used to be one of the males that plays female character. I learned something about it, when your a girl in a game guys are so nice to help you out in quest or other stuffs which i could take advantage of it[:D], but it got too creepy when this guy tried to ask weird stuffs about me like "will u be my gf?" so i quitted being a girl in game. It sounds weird when a guy asks out someone you dunno online xD.

If you think no big deal maybe we should get gender change achieve. LOL JK

SummonerBrandon -> RE: Men playing female characters (5/5/2011 16:41:52)

XD I just love this thread. Like to see what all of you think about playing as females. Still, I find it nothing wrong in playing a customized female character. -.- Up to an extent as to where one person called me names for no reason just because he is five levels higher than me, actually think that I am a female, and says that all female players are weak. I decided to go on ahead and report him for continuous offensive language. That is...one problem that upsets me. It also feels so weird when someone actually ask you for a date online and...yea...I do not do any online dates.

Also, for some reasons, I tend to have better wins and rewards with my female characters than I do with my males. DX Do not start thinking negatively of me, but for me, I think that... well...you know...male and female is a good human relationship I guess... I don't know. Not saying that my male characters are bad. They are good but my female classes outbeats my male characters. The only exception is moi on Dragonfable. ??? This should have been in the Battleon general discussion instead of the Epic Duel discussion.

Please don't include profanity in your post, even if it is just quoting another player. ~Ashari

Ashari -> RE: Men playing female characters (5/5/2011 16:58:08)

Well the point of games is escapism is it not? Your in-game character doesn't have to reflect your actual self. Part of role playing is taking on the role of a different person. Role playing yourself is pretty boring. :P

I have both male and female characters and their gender isn't meant to reflect my actual gender. Usually I just choose my characters gender based on what looks better in-game. I like the way male Merc armors looks for example, while for Tech Mages the female armor is much nicer.

@SummonerBrandon: You'll get your fair share of badmouthing as a guy or a girl... I see it on all my characters. Gender really doesn't make a difference. It's best just to ignore or report these players if their behavior gets bad enough.

Atomic garden -> RE: Men playing female characters (5/5/2011 18:02:07)

Is AH a guy???[>:]

veneeria -> RE: Men playing female characters (5/5/2011 18:39:59)

It rather makes me worried rather than in a laughing mood.

xxmirxx -> RE: Men playing female characters (5/5/2011 19:01:01)

I agree above

IsaiahtheMage -> RE: Men playing female characters (5/5/2011 19:19:36)

Wow. All you people have male and female characters that is weird and creepy *Shudder*.

BurningFlames -> RE: Men playing female characters (5/5/2011 19:34:29)

Yeah I have a founder female character. Ive begged the devs to change me for my videos but they didn't fell it was a good idea :/

veneeria -> RE: Men playing female characters (5/5/2011 19:38:18)

Guys. Don't compare life to virtual gaming. I am pretty sure we can't respawn in real life. The rules on the virtual world are different, you can be what ever you want.

One Winged Angel1357 -> RE: Men playing female characters (5/5/2011 19:44:24)

i have three or four male accs and one female acc and you can bet money on that i spend most of my time on my male accs and i put little effort into my female acc(but enough so that dilly doesnt kick me from the faction)

do i see anything wrong with guys playing as girls or girls playing as guys not at all unless they dudes playing as chicks are trying to pass themselfs off as chicks then it gets kinda wierd but we cant judge people based off what they do in a video game becuase its not life its just a video game

Thats what males females do.

One Winged Angel1357 -> RE: Men playing female characters (5/5/2011 20:12:25)

Donna BT myself and im sure many others dont, just the odd balls of ED but to them i say "To each his own" and i stop judging

Epic Pwnser -> RE: Men playing female characters (5/5/2011 20:26:16)

My alt account tevia is a girl with a 98% win record with >1000 wins.
Nothing wrong with people playing other genders. It's sometimes more fun to deceive people, and it's a learning experience of how everything looks in the persona of a girl. It's a hateful world out there o.O

In my siggy is my tevia char page..

xxmirxx -> RE: Men playing female characters (5/5/2011 21:28:48)

above do you say your female then try pull off as female.

Guardian Patrick -> RE: Men playing female characters (5/5/2011 21:32:14)

MMORPG = Many Men Online Role Playing Girls

Sparticus -> RE: Men playing female characters (5/5/2011 22:07:13)

In this game, at this time in my life, I only play male characters because I'm male. That's just me today.

I have played many games in the past and some of those characters were female, I see no problem with it.
Those players that are gender concerned need to get over it. It means nothing more then the color of your armor or your hairstyle does.

Novaburst -> RE: Men playing female characters (5/5/2011 22:07:14)

@ Patrick lolz

I find it a bit strange but to each his own, no laws against it. I find it alot more strange when people try to find a girl/boyfriend in an MMORPG, for as we have seen in this thread, they may not be the same gender as there character.

Wraith -> RE: Men playing female characters (5/5/2011 22:09:15)

What we need is a gender change option. I'm all for switching to female, what's wrong with that? 3 things. AEF Name change to Lady Sinastr, Ingame to Devils Wraithess, and EDR to ?

What is wrong with that? Always wondered how it would be different.

Celestine -> RE: Men playing female characters (5/5/2011 23:48:46)

EpicDuel is an MMORPG. Meaning a Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game.
The character you create could have nothing to do with your gender, hair, style, etc. So I don't see how it is strange or weird that a female player would create a male character or vice versa. It is a game, for fun. The only site were gender would matter is a dating site lol.
On other AE games, I have male characters as well as female characters. I don't see anything wrong with it.
