Wyrmy lives! Good to see some familiar faces 'round here.

Digging Jophiel's noggin. The tentacular bits in that piece are awesome too.

The Star Wars piece is adorable. Reminds a bit of your Yo Gabba Gabba drawing from way back when.

Wyrm -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (2/10/2015 15:58:16)

Thank you so much Starflare. I always appreciate any comments about my art. It does seem like I've been around for a looooooong time. I still enjoy AQ and most of the other AE games. I'm a little sad to see the art community so barren as of late but that's the way things go sometimes.

I live indeed SB. I just come and go in bursts which is one of the reasons I stepped down from being an AK. Thanks I really like the way his head turned out. So much so that I'm working on a series of angels with similar features.

But now for something completely different: HAWLUCHA!

Wyrm -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (2/10/2015 17:57:25)

Because I can't leave well enough alone here's another doodle:

Mordred -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (2/10/2015 18:49:12)

Reminds me of your hexes from way back when. Just that really heavy, stylized shading style that I love.

I really like the energy in the Hawlucha thing. Just feels really alive, which is pretty fitting for a luchador bird.

Wyrm -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (2/11/2015 14:50:20)

Thanks Mordred. I always enjoy drawing stylized or fantastic subjects and I try to adjust my shading technique to match. Thanks I had fun making Hawlucha. He's made out of cut, coloured paper and he's one of my favourite of the new generation of pokemon.

Here's my entry for the Here's How We Roll Contest which I encourage everyone to attempt. C'mon folks there's a whole month to work on entries!

Wyrm -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (2/12/2015 17:37:42)

Here's today's doodle, a little Hellboy fan art done on my iPod using Sketchbook.

Flamehead 12 -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (2/14/2015 13:41:42)

I really enjoy seeing the surrealist pieces from you. it would be very pleasing if there were less fanart and more originals. Keep it up

Wyrm -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (2/17/2015 15:04:05)

Thank you Flamehead 12. To be honest I prefer to draw my own subjects but the fan art gets the views and comments since it the subject has a built in fan base.

The sketch for today is just a doodle playing with some grey markers:

Wyrm -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (2/20/2015 14:27:27)

Sorry Flamehead 12 but I have another bit of fan art lol.

Wyrm -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (2/23/2015 12:18:04)

Today's drawing is a quick digital piece I did back in November I think.

Wyrm -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (2/27/2015 12:12:25)

Here's one piece of a 9 piece compilation composed of 3x5 cards. This item is the stomach.

Wyrm -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (3/4/2015 16:42:34)

Today's sketch is another part of the 9 piece assemblage.

Wyrm -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (3/9/2015 15:24:07)

Today's sketch is another of the 9 piece assemblage.

[AD].Blade -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (3/10/2015 22:35:47)

Wow, I remember you posting your flash pieces back in 2006. Nostalgia overload.

Wyrm -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (3/13/2015 12:09:25)

Haha [AD] yeah the good old days. I have a TON of flash stuff now which is literally 100% better than those first attempts with the clunky program. Unfortunately(?) it all goes into AQ which is awesome (though it means less for my personal gallery).

Here's another piece from the 9 piece compilation; Eyes:

Wyrm -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (3/13/2015 14:57:43)

As a special treat here's a second Friday sketch that has never before been published to the web! This is straight out of my latest sketch book: Traveling Apothecary

[image]http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y203/reverendwyrm/Thumbs/rsz_TravellingApothecary_zps24w31igr.png[/image]

Solar Boy -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (3/14/2015 6:28:49)

The compilation pieces are killer. They're like, the epitome of your older macabre/whatever style. They feel sort of nostalgic, though I've not seen them before. Also, the metallic bits look awesome.

The traveling apothecary is very cool as well. Digging all the different elements going on. Awesome stuff.

Wyrm -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (3/18/2015 16:41:05)

Thank you very much SB as always! The compilation pieces are all fairly recent. I found a bunch of scrap cards and decided I wanted to do something with them and those were the result.

For this week's sketch another piece of the compilation: Genesis

[image]http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y203/reverendwyrm/Thumbs/rsz_9_piece_repro_zpsctjtj0d8.jpg[/image]

Wyrm -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (3/23/2015 16:43:45)

Another piece of my 9 part: Preservation

[image]http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y203/reverendwyrm/Thumbs/rsz_9_piece_preservation_zpsgejmpztx.jpg[/image]

Wyrm -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (3/31/2015 15:30:27)

This week's sketch is a departure from my 9 piece compilation piece. This is a sketch of a Putti also known as a cherub:

[image]http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y203/reverendwyrm/Thumbs/rsz_cherub_putti_zpskw4j7rhs.jpg[/image]

"The lowest order of angels, hardly more than spirits of the air, are the Putti. Ubiquitous baby-faced cherubs that spend their days cooing to babies, dappling leaves with sunlight, and comforting wasted humanity with memories of long lost and better days."

Wyrm -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (4/23/2015 12:36:34)

Another part of the 9 piece composition: Mind

[image]http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y203/reverendwyrm/Thumbs/rsz_9_piece_mind_zpsowjcujgx.png[/image]

Solar Boy -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (4/24/2015 0:24:54)

Lovely tubes n' cables in the compilation pieces. I love the composition of the legs one.

Wyrm -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (5/4/2015 18:16:03)

Thanks Solar Boy! I had to watch it a bit on the legs so I could actually post it here. I probably would have gone a bit more graphic otherwise.

Up next has absolutely nothing to do with my compilation piece and was just an exercise in fun ink drawing: Serpentor

[image]http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y203/reverendwyrm/Thumbs/rsz_serpentor_zpsfjj2jvj0.jpg[/image]

bruextian -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (5/12/2015 6:33:46)

First of all, I'd like to shout out load that you're inking skills are insane. I'm amazed with your concrete detailing using western style

Wyrm -> RE: The Wyrm Pit (5/22/2015 16:56:13)

Thank you very much bruextian! I'm glad it shows. I love all the little details and tiny lines so I try to squeeze as much in as I can get away with lol.

New piece: Bugs
