Soliqe -> RE: Promo Weapons - Are they going too far? (5/21/2011 14:46:15)

I'm sorry if you had anything important to say in your first post, but since I'm on a time crunch, I'll answer the question posted in the thread title. The answer is YES. Beta was the best time for promos ever. Why? Because ALL PACKAGES were used to get certain items. Founder badge: Small package ($20) Founder badge AND armor: ($35 and above) Rixty's: All you had to do was buy a rixty card. Rixty's were only $10. Bunnyzookas: $20 purchase of an Artix Entertainment Game Card Beta weapons: I don't really remember exactly, but I knew that $35 got you all the weapons. The issue began with the Gamma promos. A useless oversized bike for $35 and then a bike and OPd bot at $50. I knew how to work the system to get such items without even purchasing the items, but instead, stacking smaller payments. Then, the worst holiday season ever, Halloween, brought out the worst promos ever. Now you had to pay $50 just for two zookas that were similar to the bunnyzookas, except the bunnyzookas were only $20. Inflation? That's bull... They could at least have given players the option to choose at least ONE ZOOKA if they bought the $35 package. The overpricing is ridiculous, and they're excuse for their fixed income is really being overdone. If it's really that bad, I'll personally use my graduation money to fly out to florida to talk with their financial advisors. I can play Combat Arms by Nexon, pay $5 and get way more items from that then in EpicDuel. Don't even try the "it costs to run servers, game, etc." When you have over 100 players buying packages each week. You're getting around $2,000 USD a week. Servers are costly, but they aren't the same price as a house. Disgruntled Ritiree, Soliqe P.S. $5 get's me 5,000 NX which let's me have the abillity to buy about 6 weapons as each usually cost 700 NX.
