Dear CAD I would like to announce my retirement from active competition (and somewhat from the game) my reason for this is not related to our faction at all but mainly the game. i no longer enjoy the game, and im not pleased how the game has become. many of the reasons for my retirement are Balance - the game's balance is very bad, and at some points unbearable. i tried to help by suggesting many great ideas. luck - another thing, aside from bad balance most of the matches are decided by luck and not an individual's skills. Pay to win - the game is very expensive. for about a year i was easily spending $50 a month to get good gear and promos. Spent about $900 in this game, that is no longer enjoyable to me. not to mention that since my time playing, the developers (or higher up) have shown little interest in closing the gap between premium players and free players. Forums - another issue i had is, the forums. often times i have been banned for making suggestions on the game that would improve it. other times, the community just simply didn't want to come together and tell the developers to do whats right on an issue. and in most cases u weren't allowed to post bad things about the game (like what makes the game bad, or why is said feature bad) and u would get banns or even "official warnings" where they basically threaten the forum members that further action may be taken without me knowing of it. Communication - and mostly after beta the developers stopped talking with the players. they no longer came to the forums and chat with the players once in a while, and mostly took to twitter where u have massive hoards of brainless sheep. if something in the game was bad, alot of people wouldn't bother mentioning it (it comes with repercussions) because they dont listen or care to listen. and most of the twitter community wants items, items, and more items, while we still have plenty of issues to fix in balance, and features. community - part of the bad sides to this game is the community, like i mentioned above. players as a whole, just dont come together to send a message to the devs. and because of the forums rules, alot of players kiss up to the devs, mods, and even AKs. if im gonna be playing a game, as a customer, i will tell u whats good about ur game, and whats bad, and how u can improve it (from an unbiased standpoint) but u cant really progress well if ur shutting down the opinions of people who tell u whats bad about ur game. Negativity - ontop of the issues i mentioned, negativity towards player by player is also another reason why i feel i should just ignore it and leave. some example of this would be on the frysteland war and the current infernal war. on the first couple days when we didn't play in frysteland (as a faction) we were called selfish by not helping our alignment. when we did help (which was planned before the war started, while we were seeing the new features and how they were) the same people who called us selfish and greedy said we were showing off by helping. which is a little hypocritical. (specially now on the current war) and while i know i've done some mistakes, i like to judge someone by all the good they did, and not that 1 bad thing. Repetitiveness - while the game was enjoyable a long long time ago... with the current situations from balance, luck, and all the other reasons i mentioned above, it makes the game extremely boring. in fact, u begin to dislike it. its just not the same as before, back in the old days u could play alot on a consistent basis and enjoy it. now u simply dont enjoy it (or IMO anyways) Moving on - i have also decided to move on with life. graduated from high school at a fresh 17 years of age and moved to a new city has given me a chance to start new. and have many options career wise. (like going to college early, along with many others choices) with all of that said, i hope u all understand my reasons for leaving. i just hope u guys know that i hung in there for a while because of the faction. and my loyalty to it and its members. i would like to tell u thats its been an honor to play among all of u. if theres anything i enjoyed the most during my time here, it was the faction and its members. as the co leader, i would like to thank all of the members and formers members for the fun times and enjoyment we had together as a faction, and as a small group community. i would also like to give u all a huge thanks on helping us reach our goals as a team. and know this, had i been given a chance to start over from the beginning, i would be here in CAD again. for those who have me on MSN, feel free to talk to me and ask me for any advice on anything. and as for CAD, if u ever need someone to give u strategies and plans, ill happily help from the sidelines. once again thank you all, its been fun here with the factions. but every fire extinguishes at some point.
