Question Mark? -> RE: =HS= Storyline Discussion Thread (1/16/2012 21:24:57)

I've taken a closer look at the statues of that devouring entity. They're either crudely constructed, which doesn't seem likely, given the rather flamboyant and polished nature of the rest of the base, (Yergen claimed that it is modeled upon extravagant Las Vegas architecture.) or rather ancient indeed. Yes, the base is fancy and metallic, but the statues themselves are worn and aged looking. In contrast, the statue of Pandora seems rather new. This might provide us with a bit of information regarding the entity, or at least what sort of creature it was. The statue certainly doesn't seem to suggest the Devourer though. While the Devourer is a truly neutral entity, although its morals and reason are divorced from our own, this creature is depicted rending a planet asunder while the bones of its enemies are trampled beneath its feet and it spews magma or something of the such into the void of space. Either the depiction was overly dramatized, (for either negative or positive effect) or we are not dealing with the Devourer at all.
