I made this thread topic for new players to see how far the game has come (since they have not been around for the actual updates) and for old players to express their opinions on the games overall development. Basically, just say what the change was, and what you think of it now.

I will start this thread with an example:

Level Ranges and Encumbrance:

This feature was introduced in April around Easter time and basically it is what allows you to equip weapons before their level requirement. It has balanced the battles between different level characters. Before this feature if you were a lower level than someone who was higher you pretty much lost the battle. Over all, i like this feature as it gives each battle more intensity.

^ I am actully against it, new weapons must be earned. ^___^. Plus i think it gives 33 non varium more respect.

What would you have the penalty be for encumbrance than? And i encourage you to post about other updates, as this is what this thread is for too.

yea if a lvl 29 were to buy 10k varium pack good chance he/she will beat a fully enhanced non var lvl 33 in 1v1 (with good build, fully enhanced varium weapons).

-1 damage then -1 stat from each area and u only get half the enhancements till u hit the required level

yeah i have to agree with Zman
i gotten killed by lvl 29s with eggzookas and stun guns.
heck some even had azrael bane.
usually most go with support gear and get lucky
please remember they are lower lvls so they always go first.

I think the newbs should not be able to always go first (maybe a +5% first strike chance for each level difference will do), as that plus encumberance would make them more OP than those who worked hard to level up. Also, the number of levels before you can equip a certain equipment should be reduced to 3, or even 2.

I think Encumbrance is perfectly fine the way it is now. In fact, I think it was one of the best new features we've had all year. New players struggle to earn enough Credits for new Items, particularly because they lose battles due to inexperience. Thanks to Encumbrance, it's easier for new players to save up Credits.



EpicDuel has, of course, made progress in other parts of the game as well. The introduction of Assimilation, Shadow Arts, and Blood Shield has made a significant difference.

The developers have also worked hard to maintain Balance between the current three Classes. At one point or another, players (including myself) have claimed that certain Classes are overpowered/underpowered, and the developers have done their best to address these issues. While balance is not (and never will be) completely perfect, we're pretty darn close at the moment. I can only hope that the upcoming three Classes won't shatter this fragile state of equilibrium...

I just hate updates, have to always change the build and be up to date or else u would be called noob .

It really was one of the best features , but I think that the penalty is just not enough . A level 28 having the same stat bonuses as a level 32 just isn't right . Encumbrance should nerf both your weapon damage (armor defense) by 1 point per level and by 1 stat point per level . Otherwise , it's just more people paying for their wins .

You have to remember that although they might get the same amount of stat bonuses from weapons, they do not have the same amount of stats since you are the higher level and had more level ups. In addition, your weapons deal more damage, and as Letrix pointed out you have more experience.

yeah but the lower lvl can always get lucky.
if ur spending money on this game its obviously because u know something about it, if not u wouldn't be doing it.

I feel reason for all these blocks and deflection because of lower levels having high up levels weps. I think they should remove it.

Of course lower levels can get lucky, yet so can you. As a matter of fact, you should have a better chance of getting lucky, and usually you do get more lucky than they do but you just do not realize it. The reason for this is that whenever you get lucky you go sweet! and then move on. But when they get lucky, you go awe man [:(] and keep this in your head in case they win so you can blame the loss on their luck. So you keep their lucky moments in your head and get rid of your lucky moments.

As for them being rich and winning, this only happens when you do not have as good as stuff as them, and if they do have better stuff than you then that was the whole point of them getting an upgrade, to improve their game experience, especially in battle. Of course, people do upgrade solely to support the game, yet even then the upgrade still helps them win in battle.
