If tactical mercs do get nerfed, I will no have no choice but to class change. The class is going to DIE in a couple of weeks, there's no point in sticking with the class. Remember the mage class? I loved it. Unfortunately the devs collapsed the whole class, since the end of beta and is still useless to us. How can you blame me for class changing? The class is dead, no point in wasting time and trying to formulate new builds.

Mage class still survive, I'm having a good situation right now but is hard to kill TLM for me because im using nonvarium sutff because I'm with them, I wanna have the same experience as they do.

@Angels: No Classes are "dead". Some Classes are harder to use, but that doesn't make them "dead".

If you really like a Class, you should stick with it, even when it's not the "flavor of the month". Balance Updates are intended to Balance the Classes, even if the results are not always what the staff had in mind.

@Lectrix Wow looks like you be ranked a mod now. I don't remember that before. Anway I have to agree with Angels. Kinda... Mages are not dead they are just weaker then most classes.

Fact: Dead and weak is the same in a PvP game.

Weak classes aren't used that much meaning pretty much dead.
proof of that is clearly visible when you go in battle
and all you see are Tact Mercs.

I was doin really good as a Tech mage. I was winning a LOT but not fast kills for leaderboard..which was ok by me

However, BloodMage I feel like a darn target and nothign else.

I keep getting told make a STR build, do that too much and you are defenseless

Try using skills, you need energy, put points there and where they come from?

ReRoute IS the best passive, and it should have stayed with mage class as most people thought that the weakest of the 3 original ones

Now Bloodmage is hope and PRAY you can attck before malf/smoke. Only way to fix is bot.

BTW Bots now useless as you can NOT do a 5 focus build.

And once you use bot to fix malf/smoke, you get attacked again. then your HP really low

Unless you stack that in which case you REALLY are hurting for defense (tech and dex)

DA needs 42 supp at max so there is more points gone.

In short Bloodmage is the WORST class by FAR

I am sticking with it as i DO want to be good with it, but BM needs some SERIOUS help

@State How the heck is Blood Mage worst then the original Mage class? You have Technian and Plasma Cannon. Plasma Cannon improves with Tech. Meaning Technian plus Plasma Cannon = PWNAGE. On top of that Fireball imrpoves with STR. So Fireball,Bloodlust and Deadly Aim is weaker then a TM Caster Build? I do not see how it is so weak. All it really needs is a phsyical defence. Besides that it is almost flawless. You have a energy version of Bunker Busyer and a phsyical version of Plasma Bolt that improves with STR and you have bloodlust! On top of that you can buff Plasma Cannon for 3 turns and your robot! I do not see how it is so bad.

You say all these great things we can do, problem is there isnt enouigh stats to do ENOUGH to win.

You can either tank your defenses..and if you say tank tech with plasma cannon. ok
Tried that. After one hit you dont have much left as you cant buff your STR
Only defense left is DA and PRAY Cannon and DA Gun take them out

You can try and tank STR, but your defense suffer and the first initial hard hit or WORSE smoke (as most people are tact mercs i get smoked 90% of the time right off the bat)

Even with bot to fix, you took damage and then more, then you need to heal (if not already dead)

DA is probably the only reason why BM wins as much as they do (which isnt much I would wager if I could view the stats of all battles and BM record vs other classes)

And with all the Tanked Ds on the Tact Mercs MAX Fireball with HIGH STR still isnt too effective, oh and BTW most your eneergy gone again

The problem is that Blood Mage can do ONE thing good, but cant combine it with anything unlike the other classes.

Also technician to boost Plasma cannon, you gave up a free shot on yourself again
(Just like being smoked)

You are a Tact Merc who wants to keep getting a ridiculous win rate, (check leaderboards and it will confirm tact mercs winnign at an astounding rate).

Please don't try and tell me Blood Mage isn't bad. IT IS. It can beat Armor Hazzard as it dont malf or smoke or posion.
But against real players Blood Mage is a VERY weak class (most likely due to fact that the "testers" said BM was OP'd...LOL...what happened? a Mage win something?)

i wouldn't say mage was dead, i still managed to get 90-96% on the 1v1 lb without npcing before tlm came out. (though i do admit, mage was the weakest class for a while)

Question: how many of us actualy asked for THREE new classes? i've seen quite a few posts asking for one new class. prefferably support based. but i've never seen anyone asking for 3

@State I am a Tac Merc. You are also right. I like having a good ratio who doesn't? But the fact is I do not see how BM is horrible. Maybe it is just you. I mean a 5 Focus Build with Technian+Plasma Cannon+Deadly Aim meaning it would buff bot and plasma cannon. Not to mention if you add bloodlust to the picture. I don't get how it is bad. I know TLM can probably beat it. But BM being weaker then CH? Come on.

Lol, this is for the people moaning that you've been told after class changing..... On the test server there aren't hundreds of players, playing hundreds of battles. Though many many builds were tested against others, it is impossible to find all problems to do with balance. Now after all of you guys have used them, and the feed back that we have gained, we now know the problems that you are finding. When these new big big changes are released (And it's been said multiple times), in the first week or so, things are likely to be changed.
If people are sat there now, after changing to BM or CH right after the release, then later turned to TMerc because it was the strongest - then that is there own fault. I understand that to get wins, you need to have the strongest class/build, and people have changed to TMerc for that reason, but they do so with the knowledge that if it's OP, then it will be nerfed.

It has been going on since Alpha. Angels, of all people you should have anticipated this. Moreover, did mage become your favourite class after you were the one heal-looping, not being heal looped (as you complained in another thread)?

So your expecting a warning to every person who are talking about this upcoming update? I'd say that's just so silly.


And about tactical mercs, I may find them a little annoying because smokescreen and frenzy combined when having a physical rimary is a real pain in the face however I don't find them to the point of super overpowered than the old heal looping mages back in beta. Tact mercs have one open spot in there builds which is there own tanking build. A tanking build and reroute may be a very deadly combo but draining their mana at the same time doing little damage will make them crippled with their skills because tanking will make you do lower damage to them and lower damage will also mean lower mana recovered unlike tech mages. All you have to do is just do low damage then rage with a strong attack but not to the point they can recover mana to a certain point where they can heal again.


Finally, about this update, not much to see but a revamped Valestra lounge. Hopefully you don't make it very small devs because I stay there whenever I'm bored lol.

@xxmirxx- does this satisfy you? This should be obvious to people who play competative games that require constant balance, but it might be worth mentioning: Class attributes and skills are subject to change and can possibly be nerfed and/or buffed over time. You will not be refunded on Varuim,Credits or Artix Points if you are unhappy with the changes. It's much more useful to us to post why the changes hurt or help your class and help us with the balancing process by posting your suggestions in the AE Forums.
