DAY 1: A mage's duty As I walk down into the battlefield I feel nervous. I have never been so close as to witness some legendary warriors and mages in action. Mystical Warrior, Necrolich66 and Dragonnightwolf how I've heard of their status and fame in my homecity. As a mage of Lore I have one and only one goal. I will personally see to it that peace remains in this land. Regardless if my name will become famous, or that my existence will be forgotten, it does not matter, for what I do, my actions will be selfless and will benefit the citizens of Lore. The battlefield is expanse, for I realized that this battle spans all of Paxia. From the crystal blue ice walls of Glacius, to the well sculptured rocky terrain of Geoto. I ready myself for my first opponent. Covered in bandages of ancient times, a Mummicane appeared out of nowhere. His cold demeanor and glowing red eyes signaled me to cast my fire spells. A flash of fire in my hands and out bursts a searing tongue of fire below the Monster's feet. Knowing full well that it would take more than that to defeat it, I clasp my hands together. A burning mountain grew in front of Mummicane and at the clap of my hands molten lava spews through and incinerates it, ending the battle. "That's one down, another few hundred thousand to go" I said to myself. DAY 2: The gift of Friendship Spell after spell, I used against the countless monsters pouring in from all directions. Being a mage, you know you have a limit to how much energy you can expend before you must either retreat to replenish your mana or use your weapon and stay. I would never abandon my bretheren, who worked so tirelessly and for that reason to stay and fight and rest later. Just then, a hoarde of monsters assembled behind me ready to attack. "I hope I have enough mana to maintain this." I thought as I took out a battle-torn blade from my sheath. The monsters charged at me, hoping they can bring my life to a swift ending. I charged in as well. Raising my weapon, I uttered "Ignite!" Fire erupted from the hilt and as I swung my sword in a horizontal strike, it created an arc of blazing fire, charring the hoarde and finished them off. As I sheathed my sword, I see the overlapping shadows on the ground. I look up and realized that the horde that I just slayed was a decoy, making sure I was cornered one way or the other. I ran. Ran for my life, with every step that could possibly be my last. As I looked ahead I saw that there was a dead end. I summoned my staff and prepared what would be my final spell before I run out of mana and die. "This spell has not been perfected yet, but it will be sufficient enough to take care of this horde and take them with me to the afterlife." As I begin to channel my mana, walls of an ancient Collesium burst from the ground, trapping the monsters. Observing more closely I see a shadowy figure with a glowing blade, surrounded by a circle of magical ruins. "There's no doubt about it, I've heard from folk in Battleon that this is one of his signature binding moves. But this next attack seems to be a new maneuver of his." Just then a large blade of energy comes down and creates a massive explosion in the grounds within the Collesium, eliminating about half of the monsters trapped inside. "What incredible power." I said to myself Just then another explosion of equal magnitude erupted and seemed to finish off the remaining monsters. I stood there in awe for a few moments. "I must thank this man for he saved my life." And so I walk down towards the camp. Just by off-chance I see Mystical Warrior and his companions resting. "Mystical Warrior my name is Muchiha, son of Ikre Mythios, mage of Lore. I am here in your presence to thank you." Mystical Warrior: "What do you mean? What have I done for you?" Muchiha: "You saved my life back there." And so I told the events that lead to Mystical Warrior's new attack. Mystical Warrior: "I see you witnessed my new attack. I do ask you keep this a secret since it hasn't been perfected yet." Muchiha: "You have my word. Oh, and one more thing. Here is a gift." I take out a golden ring with ancient runes on the outer edges. An artistic drawing of the sun is placed as its decoration with a giant ruby at the center of it. Mystical Warrior: "What is it?" Muchiha: "It is the artifact of Solaria. Warriors used it back in the dark days of Lore's past. It channels the energy of the Sun and converts it into Element heal energy. This Element heal energy will then be used replenish any of the following of your choosing: Health, Mana, or Physical Energy. What makes this artifact so unique is that it will grant you one wish." Mystical Warrior: "Wait, any wish?" Muchiha: "Well, there are certain limitations to this last aspect of the artifact. You see there are some rules" 1) It cannot bring back the dead and uncreated 2) Your wish (if it involves multiple targets) can only affect up to a maximum of 10 targets. 3) Your wish cannot affect beings that are deities/demigods/Greater Powers/Lesser Powers. 4) If your wish involves time, It can only reverse/fast forward to a maximum of 1 hour or stop time for 10 minutes. 5) Your wish must be logical and morally good (eg. blowing up Lore/dog/neighbour's house/neighbour is not logical and/or morally good xD) Mystical Warrior: "Thank you for this gift Muchiha. I shall use this to the best of my ability" Muchiha: "Ah, forgive me Mystical Warrior there is one last thing I forgot to tell you." Mystical Warrior: "And what would that be?" Muchiha: "Once you use that one wish, the artifact will disintegrate, but will grant you a skill." Mystical Warrior: "A skill? What kind of skill?" Muchiha: "It differs for each warrior, but the artifact will grant you the knowledge on how to perform it. It is truly a remarkable attack empowered by the Sun. However, like the wish it can only be used once, but I know that someone of your stature will be able to handle it wisely." Mystical Warrior: "Once again, thank you Muchiha. We need all the help we can get." Muchiha: "Likewise my friend" DAY 3: The rise of a mage with his purpose re-instated As the sun begins to rise, I make my way back down to the battlefield to find the determined group of warriors, mages, rogues and so forth pushing back what was once a frightening army and moving towards the final enemy. I wondered who could be responsible for all this. "First, the Ice orb in the region of Lolosia, then the Wind orb suddenly appearing in the hands of Geoto. I thought all the elemental orbs were with Lorithia's statue within the Temple." But before I was about to come to a conclusion, a large gust of wind comes out knocking me a few paces back. I struggled a bit to see who it was. It was a Hiroo. I raised my left hand and used one of my strongest Earth spells. "Terra Clavus!" Green sparks appeared under the Hiroo's feet and a split second later a multitude of Earth-spikes burst from the ground causing severe damage around the area. I walk towards the tired yet spirited fighters of Battleon. This group consisted of some fighters, Mystical Warrior, and his dark and mysterious companion. They seemed to be sparring with the leader of this army. They said it was a Troglodyte. The monster itself seemed truly appaling. I ready myself and prepare my first set of spells. Mystical Warrior: "Muchiha, you are free to battle with us, but if I say move back, I need you to clear the area 100 meters away and set up a manafield for this battleground. For what Nightmare Warrior and I are about to unleash could potentially be devastating within a 10 kilometer radius of Paxia." Muchiha: "Understood" I use my first spells. "Terra Pylaet!" The ground quaked beneath the Troglodyte and three Athemist colored spikes burst out of the ground launching at the monster like missles. Nightmare Warrior then uttered something and out came an blazing green sphere that surrounded the monster, reducing its mobility. Mystical Warrior lunged in and landed a devastating blow on the monstrous bird. It yelled in pain and out of nowhere a huge gust of wind knocked us on our backs. I see Mystical Warrior struggling to get up. "You foolssss sssshall pay for thissss!" The Troglodyte said. It broke free of its restraints and went into the sky. Although it was hard to see it because of cloud cover, I anticipated it would soon come and swiftly strike one of us down. Knowing that, I yelled, "Contego!" A light blue shield of mana appeared above us. And right at that moment the Troglodyte swooped in with its talons, but was blocked by my shield, denying him of inflicting any grevious wounds on us. I then raised my left hand, took a deep breath and uttered, "Terra Vincula!" Chains came from the Earth and wrapped around the monster. But before I had a chance to finish my attack, the Troglodyte sent a violent tornado in my direction, piercing my flesh. Then, the winged montrousity struck me with its massive talons. I flew back about 20 metres. Before I could do anything else, another surge of powerful piercing wind struck me from behind. I lay there bleeding, serverely injured. "Muchiha!!!" Mystical Warrior yelled. As the Troglodyte hovered slowly towards me, I remembered all my memories as a mage. When I first became one under the guidance of Warlic, the refinement of magic skills from Jackel Sano, and my future: one day, learning to wield magic beyond one's wildest dreams from Archmages Kalanyr and Beleqwaya. I shed several tears thinking about what could've been and how I've failed my companions and most of all, the citizens of Battleon. But then, I remembered. My goal. " I cannot die yet, my goals, my dreams, are not accomplished. No, I cannot die. Not today, NOT TODAY!" A large burst of energy surronded my body as a slowly rose up. I raise both my hands and yelled: "Terra Fragor!" The ground beneath the Troglodyte exploded with emerald-green energy and sent massive boulders flying its way. The monster was hurled back like it was a feather. "Mystical Warrior. I don't have much energy left. But I will make sure this plan succeeds, for the future of Paxia. For the good of Lore." I summoned my staff in my outstrtched right arm. I raised my staff and uttered "Contego Totalum" A Sky blue colored mana shield appeared and surrounded the battlefield in a 1 kilometer radius. "I have done what I can Mystical Warrior, the rest....is up....to you........." I fall to the ground, unconscious.
