Gibby -> =MQ= Question & Answer Forum Rules (7/23/2011 19:32:00)

The Rules of the MQ Q&A Board All Universal Forum Rules relating to posting behavior apply! These should be the first thing you read when you join the forums. They apply everywhere; this means that any behavior prohibited by the Universal Rules is prohibited in this forum. This means no flaming, no trolling, no spamming your signature or emoticons, and no mentioning hacking. No Discussion This is a Question and Answer forum, so any thread posted to discuss a topic belongs in the MQ GD forum. The MQ Q&A forum is not for discussion, so once a question has been answered you should not continue to post in its thread. No Duplicate Topics If you have a question, please search the forum to see if someone had it first. If there is already a thread about your topic, please read it first to see if the replies answer your question. No Hijacking While duplicate topics are not permitted, please do not post in someone else's thread with your own questions. If your issue is not addressed by any existing threads, please use the [image]http://forums2.battleon.com/f/image/blue/post.gif[/image] and post your own thread. No Game Account Questions If there is something wrong with your MQ game account, please use the http://mechquest.com/help/ . No one on the forums can help you with any game account issues, so please do not post about them in this forum. No Begging Begging for Membership, or an upgrade to any of the other AE games is not permitted. Do NOT do it at all, not in PMs, not in threads. There are no contests for which an upgrade is a prize, either. It only encourages begging. No Spam / Mini-modding This forum is for MQ-related questions ONLY; please be sure to use the appropriate forum for your topic. For discussion of the game, please use the MQ GD forum. Anything regarding AExtras belongs in the AExtras forum. If you see someone posting spam, please do not reply to it. Mini-modding is also against the rules, and replying to spam just creates more spam. If you find a post or a thread that breaks the rules, please PM one of the MQ Q&A ArchKnights. Use your Resources The MQ Pedia is a very helpful and important resource. Please search it before posting to ask questions here. No Abuseable Bug Questions If you have found an abuseable bug, please PM it to one of the AKs. Please do not post it anywhere on the forums. No Hacking Accusations! This is stated in the Universal Rules but it needs to be said again. Do NOT post in the MQ Q&A with any hacking accusations about anyone. It is not allowed. This includes any questions about a player's equips, name, skills, classes, armors, or anything else that has a staff member's name in the item's name or after it. Contact a Forum Moderator from this list if you would like to report someone. Do not post about them. On Asking Questions: Name your thread(s) appropriately. Topic titles such as 'Help!', or, worse yet, 'Heeelllpp!!!', are too generic, and doesn't actually say what you need to help with. And never post in caps, it's considered spam. Also, please be very specific in the first post of your thread. Make absolutely sure that people reading can UNDERSTAND what you are saying. It also helps to make sure your spelling and grammar is the best you can make it. Character Advice or Character Suggestion Questions When asking for character advice or suggestions please offer as much helpful information as you can to help those giving advice / suggestions. The more informantion provided the better the help will be. Formats are suggested for use when asking for charcater advice to provide extra information for those that are giving the advice. Character Advice
Character Link:
Build:
Character Stats:
NovaGems (If Applicable): Equipment Comparison When players want to ask 'Which should I buy, X, Y or Z?', be that Mecha Model, Weapon type or Energy Blade we ask that you apply the following: Any forum member can post a request for a comparison between up to 5 items of one type. Please make it clear in your post that you are asking for a comparison. If you want to compare more items, please create another post. Before you post, there are some places you could look for yourself for information about the items in question: The MechQuest Encyclopedia or the ' Ultimate MechQuest Spreadsheet', a player run project in the form of a Google Spreadsheet. While this information can be outdated, this is the reason for the Q&A board. The MQ Q&A board gives you an opportunity to get current feedback, ideas and information about the game. On Answering Questions: If you see a thread has been answered and you do not have further information to add, please do NOT post in it. Please remember that we were all new once; new to the forums and new to the games. Responding to questions with kindness and understanding is not a request, it is a necessity. Any replies that do not add to the topic at hand will be removed - some without notice, some with penalties including official warnings. Any instances of discourteous replies that flame or troll another user will also be met with consequences including official warnings. If a request already has a reply, please only post your own reply to the same request if you are adding significant new information, or making a factual correction. Completed threads: When your question has been answered please do not ask for the thread to be locked. It is unnecessary work for the forum staff and assistants. It is appreciated (but not necessary) to say thanks if the answer(s) to your question have helped. If the answer to your question causes you to want to ask another question, please start a new question thread. Many thanks to Circe who originally posted these rules on 12/9/2009 and also to Sir Gnome, both of whose selfless contributions to the forum have made it a better place.
