Shadronica -> Positive gaming experience (7/26/2011 3:00:42)

Since Cinderella has stated already that it is fine to discuss positive features from other games that could be applied to EpicDuel I would like to make it a discussion that perhaps Cindy, Titan and Nightwraith might like to take a look at what other game features we find are pleasurable.
WITHOUT naming the game of course ok.

My very first one is that in another game I am allowed to share my armors, helms, bikes, weapons whatever with all of my alts. It has a shared bank. I can remove the item from my main character and place it in the shared bank for any of my alts to use.

This game which is just about to turn three years old has not only a PvP section but seven enormous worlds to explore with many quests that are both storyline and side quests. It also has a pet Derby where we can race our pets which all have unique spells and characteristics of their own as we train them. Something for ED to consider with our bots perhaps.

This game puts specials on its packs or items for a limited amount of time where they are sold half price. Something else that could be considered here on ED.

I can also buy $5 of the games currency and buy several different packs but one in particular costs the equivalent of 83c which will give me seven items some of which might be furniture or smaller game items but you can also get ultra rare armors, helms, pets or weapons kind of like a lottery. I can't see ED doing anything like this but it would be awesomely nice if it did.

I have not experienced any real abuse on that game and in fact when I called myself a noob (which I really was being fairly new to the game) the other players were horrified and denied that I was. It does have open chat for older players but does filter words so that younger players cannot read certain words. A wonderful idea!

It also has an option to stop friends from porting to you and also has an ignore button. You can also turn off the enemy chat in PvP. I have even found a button to turn myself invisible to my friends if I wish so that I can do some serious battling without constant chatter. Something that we have asked for in ED many times.

At certain levels as we are levelling up we are required to do a boss NPC battle to be able to achieve a more powerful spell or skill. You can do it whenever you wish but you don't get that spell/skill until you have beaten that boss. I know some players may disagree with that but I like the idea as it presented a challenge to me.

Some of these pleasurable features are just straight off the top of my head so if I think of more I will add.

Please feel free to discuss nicely about features from other games that you would like to see here in EpicDuel.

Stackable boosters.

Shadowlord9k -> RE: Positive gaming experience (7/26/2011 3:24:24)

A large group of brilliant ideas, it is a shame I cannot think of anything to add to this list.

Fatal Impact -> RE: Positive gaming experience (7/26/2011 3:27:45)

Trade Feature.

comicalbike -> RE: Positive gaming experience (7/26/2011 3:48:17)

what a very good idea

kwj3 -> RE: Positive gaming experience (7/26/2011 5:58:01)

A translator. SRSLY I DUN GET GUYS TALKING IN MEXICAN OR EGYPTIAN AND STUFF

Shadronica -> RE: Positive gaming experience (7/26/2011 6:06:47)

The same game I am talking about has a Bizaare shop too but its a place where players can go to sell unwanted items ... helms, armors, weapons and furniture. Not only can we sell but we can buy those items for credits too. But you cannot sell your ultra rares there.

There is armors in that shop for every level up to the cap. Each level as they progress get to choose from a variety of armors with different stats already on them ... sort of like ED has but you don't have to enhance. ;)

A lot of these armors are dropped from boss NPC's. The boss NPC's in the harder quest areas ... like at the the level cap ... drop a whole lot of stuff including one of the best if not the best armor in the game. Sometimes it can take up to one hour to battle just one hard boss NPC but its worth it. Maybe ED can work something into their boss NPC's.

Oh the pets which are the equivalent to our bots which have their own special skills. Some have an attack, some do small heals at random, some give us the ability to be able to hit our enemy better, some give more health and some more energy when you equip them. Perhaps ED could think about introducing a system like this.

MrBones -> RE: Positive gaming experience (7/26/2011 7:36:45)

SO basicly, what you are saying is comparing 2 games that are about the same age, ED is zillions of miles behind and 10 times more expensive.

Shadronica -> RE: Positive gaming experience (7/26/2011 8:12:05)

I don't really want to compare the games but I am sure that Cindy would be interested to find out what features we like from different games that we play.

It may just give our game developers some fresh ideas to improve EpicDuel.

Wraith -> RE: Positive gaming experience (7/26/2011 11:02:25)

Shadronica, I think its time for me to temporarily leave ED and play your game. Cheap, fun, good community. 10/10 on my scale.

I love this idea, but it would be good if devs found a way to merge main acc and alts on other accounts (since we got 6 character slots on account).
I was too lazy to read other ideas, but I would probably like them too ;)

DunkThatOreo -> RE: Positive gaming experience (7/26/2011 15:18:31)

Hey Shadronica could u pm me the name of this game please lol

Deimos... -> RE: Positive gaming experience (7/26/2011 15:19:35)

Wow I think titan and NW should just play aika. Let me tell you whats so good about aika.

One sec.

So if You guys want trade feature to be implemented You need nicer people. I just don't understand. In the new game I play everyone is nice.... No one ever scams you and people trade fairly and people even donate money. In the game there I'd a feature called shout and you shout and everyone in ur nation hears you. So I shouted I needed a 300k donation of gold and immediatly I check my mail box and there is 150k. I got the other 150 by selling things. People also give you free stuff all the time. Let's say your a riflemaster and you get a warlock item. The riflemaster would then find a warlock and give it too him. People are
Very nice in the game. They also give tips at the beginning when you log in. Very helpful. If you compare epicduel to aika you'd see epicduel has way too many flaws. The aika forums are 100x nicer. I posted a question in gd afraid it was gonna get locked, but no, immediately an aika forum mod answered my question.

EDit: now that I am back on my computer, LET ME SHOW YOU proof on how nice the community is.

Guy asking me for money, me saying ok, me opening up the mail because I just got money from the auction house, then i withdraw 125k and give him 50k.

Me riding my mount, friend saying he will pay me back without me asking first.

Me writing him the mail with the money.

They also have a good quest thing. Let me show you.

You see, they have 2 types of quests. Plot and normal. Normal are just quests. Plot quests are quests that have a story. As you can see, it also has a quest tracker on the top right corner telling you what you need. Even has a location thing. IF you click location it tells you where to go to find whatever you need for the quest.

Also, you cant really tell the difference of a person who payed for the game, or hasn't payed for the game. You can either buy a mount, with real money, or wait until you level 40 (like me) and EARN a mount through a CHAIN OF QUESTS ( Took me 5 hours to do it... so hard but it was worth it. -.-") So now I have a mount. Plus some things that cost real money can be found IN GAME BY MONSTER DROPS! Also every time you get to lvl 10,20,30, 40, 50 , 60, 70. etc you get a small free gift. You can even sell gpots (which is like varium) For gold.

EVERYONE SHOULD TRY THIS GAME

Wraith -> RE: Positive gaming experience (7/26/2011 15:56:06)

^Pretty sure you broke ToS, but I'm definitely gonna try it out. Aika? Mmk, thanks.

hauki -> RE: Positive gaming experience (7/26/2011 16:09:04)

omfg u gotta be kidding me? u cant compare browser game to downloadable game

DillBagel -> RE: Positive gaming experience (7/26/2011 16:24:22)

In Deimos' case the players are being compared. The communities of many of those games are much better.
I really like the shared bank. I play a game that allows that. It's useful for giving lower level characters on your account your old weapons rather than buying them again. It also would allow me to give weapons I'm not using to another character. Example: If I'm not using my betas, I can hand them off to my level 25 who really needs some good weapons. Or if my alt is the same level as me, I can hand them the wrist blades I don't use. You can't get scammed with an account bank either.

goldslayer1 -> RE: Positive gaming experience (7/26/2011 17:16:46)

idk if anyone suggested this before.
but how about a gifting option? with a newly added inbox system.

the way it works is, u can gift any item are any time to any player.
and the item will appear in the inbox.
then when the other player check his inbox he accepts the item and its place in his inventory.
other things as EXP boost and token boost should be allowed to be gifted aswell.
also gifting credits (maybe varium too?) to other players should be allowed.

this feature also goes for items in ur inventory aswell.
so u should be able to gift items in ur inventory to other players.
if this were allowed i would gift one of my alts some good weps and play some more on it.
or gift it to a friend in need since im obviously not going to use the wep. it either will rot in the inventory (if its old) or i might sell it. so i would rather give it to someone who needs it.

Minus123 -> RE: Positive gaming experience (7/26/2011 23:29:53)

Lending feature. Where you can lend a weapon for a limited amount of time (3 days?). After the item gets returned, you cant lend it until the cooldown is over (a week?)

helloguy -> RE: Positive gaming experience (7/26/2011 23:44:36)

@Kwj3
"Mexican" and "Egyptian" aren't languages.
