Lately I've been noticing a growing trend, and that's the cost of new items. There way too easy to get, a spoiled brat could just spend 50 dollars on a package and buy whatever the hell he/she wants. I think that the Devs should involve battle tokens with the purchase of new weapons. That way people actually get rewarded for spending their time on this game. Let's take the Telsa armor for instance, we've been given a week in advance of the armors release date, I think that it would be a great idea to charge battle tokens along with varium and credits.

I agree. There should be ftp+battle token gear for veteran f2ps to close the varium gap a bit and varium+battle token gear for elite veteran varium players.
Power levels would be like this noob < noob w/var = veteranf2p < veteran w/var.
Alternatively, there could be commander (or greater) - only shops with better f2p/varium gear.
Like all AE games - veteran varium players should be able to use some overpowered rare f2p stuff without falling down in power - otherwise its a pay-to-win game.

The idea is good but the devs would lose profits and it might sound good now but later we will be flaming that there too high and that you can't get what you want because of that. This will cause some bratty kids to quit for he has to work to get that item..

I definetly think that the concept of combining battle tokens into the purchase price would be a great idea, they could have a lower credit price as well so that we can spend our spare credits on enhancements along with some varium. Battle tokens aren't easy to come by, so this would separate the players who don't battle at all from the elite players who spend their time battling. I think that this should only be a price included with certain items, it would just add to the true 'rarity' of the weapon. This is a great idea although those who don't have many tokens would disagree, there's simple solution; just battle and earn tokens! Tokens currently cater for some buyable achievments and for donating to factions. None of these things are mandatory to aid you in battle, so a battle token price on certain weapons would be good. Some special battle token houses wouldn't be bad either :).

They need to raise the credit price. What is 10k credits for a full varium level cap player like us ??

The fact that you can't buy credits is also good. By having the rares and top weapons sell at 100k credits or even more would be a nice reward to players who actually play the game on a regular basis. It would also limit the amount a player can buy, solving the problem of mass buying for rarity score.

Implemeting this would also take care of another problem I find very irritating, the fact that almost every pro have the same gear. Like T.600 said, everybody can just go and get 50k varium pack... Piling up 100k in credits is a different matter.

As for the company who might think they will lose buisness, people will buy battle boost to earn more credits so it should compensate for the varium packs they won't sell.

And in the end, it is just a matter of logic. You raise the level cap, you buff gear and make new and more powerfull ones...credit price should go up.

I agree , but not on LQ wepons such as the telsa armour or rare armours , it's unfair for players to have miss opportunities simply because they spent all their tockens and didn't get enough in time.

@MrBones: The thing is, you can still get 15k credits from each 10k varium package that you purchase. That is why it would be good to impose a small battle token fee prior to purchasing certain items. It's better to save credits for enhancements, and I think that varium items shouldn't even cost credits :O.

I think tokens should be able to turn into gold not added into price once you do this not many ED players play 24 hours and be able to get it :/

Using Battle Tokens along with Varium and Credits would just be very useful for those who are on the Top 15 and old/good players.

  • The most of people have used almost of their Battle Tokens for the Achievements and Factions.
    They have to donate 100 Battle Tokens a day. And, they also want to save the Battle Tokens for the next Achievements.
    * Would they have enough Battle Tokens to buy Guns, Primary weapons, Auxiliaris etc?
    * Would they have enough Battle Tokens to buy every single new release items especially items that will probably go RARE?
    * I believe, the most of the AKs don't have enough Batte Tokens, they don't have enough time to collect the Battle Tokens.
    I'm sure, they deserve to buy any new items especially items that will probably go RARE?

  • How about the new players, they don't have enough Battle Tokens.
    Not everyone has enough time to play the game to collect the Battle Tokens.
    They want to play the game to have fun, they can purchase the 10k Package to have the bonus of 15,000 Credits.
    As we know, to collect Battle Tokens is much harder than to collect Credits.

    Your idea is great, I have no problem with it. I have enough Battle Tokens.
    But, please think about some of us who don't have enough Battle Tokens, who don't have enough time to collect them etc.

    I'm gonna agree with AVA here. While I personally could care less, as if things change, I adapt to it, I tend to think more about others.

    It would be a big backstab at casual players, AKA the majority of who play it. It'll basically prevent them from really getting any achievements as long as they need more equipment.

    Of course, if this was not something that was applied to everything, but instead, say gear meant for the less casual players, and were a notch better than the rest of the same stature, it'd be a good idea.

    The reason why AE has become so popular is because it built up a large fanbase by making fun f2p games.
    Then for the price of an average videogame, you can upgrade for a power boost and support the game.
    Epicduel is failing on this basic concept of f2p: Putting a ton of time into the game should be rewarded more than buying insta-power.
    ED is missing hard-to-reach mastercrafted items that exhibit true dedication to the game.
    IMO evolving from base classes to higher classes should be based on exp/battle tokens as well. (like warlords and higher or 2000 battle tokens, etc.)

    The people who play this game more should have more fun, period. The players who can only manage to get 10 wins a day and just come to socialize don't deserve fun at all because they don't really care. There needs to be a hierarchy of players in this game, it should be the

    1. Active Rich
    2. Rich
    3. Middle Class
    4. Non varium

    At the moment there is only

    1. Rich
    2. Non varium

    That's a problem we need to divide ourselves from, active players deserve so much more than inactive players.

    Limited Items, I do NOT support Battle Tokens for those class of weapons/armors.

    Everything else, I do not care

    That what you suggest would only give STR builds an advantage ;)

    IDC about tockens on normal wepons but LQ qepons will only restrct people , and i know thats what you want angel but sometimes it pays to think of benefiting the whole ED community rather than urself and a certain few?

    I support this. It would make since to implement token purchases. I mean achievements don't help you in battle.. Besides if wealthy people aren't active and spend outrages amount of money over the same item. Players who want the armor bad won't be able to posses the armor of their wishes. But implementing tokens will allow us to buy items that are Lqs it would mean armors won't sell out. Though the prices should be considered as follows:

    Telsa Armor
    10.000 Credits
    995/1250 Varium
    1.000 Tokens

    2000 Varium is not a realistic number.

    First off, it would be a fun feature for some items, but the cost needs to be low enough for people who have a life.
    Second, Angels, idc if a mod sees this...

    My guess is that it will have like 2 more stats and 1 more def/res than bunny borg. And I don't want to pay 1k varium more just for 2 extra stats and 1 more def/res (and it will probably have ugly hairstyle).

    If you are spending money on this game you should be able to get what you want faster than if you just play the game. So i think its ok if a "spoiled brat" gets something that you cant by spending money on the game. Besides, battle tokens already serve a purpose to get more credits: arcade battles.

    I like the idea of tokens but..
    LQS + tokens = isn't good for all players as not all of them know about things in advance as they're not on the forums or even know about the design notes.
    Seasonal shop + tokens = is great, if they don't get the item this time around they will know about it for next year.

    We all deserve to have fun, the one don't need to have more than the others. We need ech other. ^_^

    What do you expect from:
    1. Active Rich = They are rich, active, they buy Varium to support the game, and they help out to make a good combination.
    2. Rich = They are not so active or inactive, they buy a lot of Varium which support the game, sure!
    3. Middle Class = They are active, and they buy Varium every now and then.
    4. Non varium = They don't buy Varium at all while they are active or probably not so active, no problemo. :)

    Don't you see that? They need each other. You can't split them out. They deserve to have fun, the one don't need to have more than others.
    We just need to find out what the best is with a small adjustment for improving. :)

    @On Topic: Maybe it is time they start making RANK requirement for gear. Some gear you could only get if you are Warlord, Commander, Emperor or Legend. That would be a fair reward for dedicated players.
