[:@][:@][:@]
thats not gg u freaking noob >.>

dont u hate it when someone says GG when they won but they got extremely lucky and it wasn't a good game at all?
what is a good game to u?

1) yes i hate it very much
2) a game where no luck factors are involved and it is based on only skill. (usually when i outsmart tech mages, those are the good games)

Calogero -> RE: GG (9/29/2011 7:45:30)

From my point of view, when fighting a Tactical Merc, it's never a GG.
But that's just me ;)

goldslayer1 -> RE: GG (9/29/2011 7:48:02)

@andy
i used that as an example
i been getting CH, BMs, and tech mages get real lucky on me today -.-
or sometimes where i triple the dex of the BH and they still block me -.-

voidance -> RE: GG (9/29/2011 7:53:47)

Idc if the fight lasted 30 turns I never say gg and if the enemy says it I don't reply. No need to say gg to a Tac merc that got his build out of "Cookie Cutters Weekly".

Angels Holocaust -> RE: GG (9/29/2011 7:55:24)

I consider the word GG to be trolling. Theres no such thing in this game.

One Winged Angel1357 -> RE: GG (9/29/2011 7:59:10)

I say GG against people like Fay Beeeeee(i think thats right[:D]) and Epicness becuase they are usally close fights with little to no luck involved plus i dont think we are focused to much on winning becuase we have chats going(last time i fought fay it was what color should i change to how less serious can you get)

SouL Prisoner -> RE: GG (9/29/2011 8:30:17)

i hate the luck factor in the game " mostly block" totaly got no sens or meaning ( a player wid 0-0 dex blocks!!!! FTW!!!!!!!!!!!! )

ND Mallet -> RE: GG (9/29/2011 8:39:37)

Would you rather have someone say gg when they win by luck or have them call you a loser/noob instead? Personally, it's much more aggravating having someone call me a noob when they win by luck.

TurkishIncubus -> RE: GG (9/29/2011 9:12:21)

I made almost same post like this and everybody was against me , now ppl started to say same things i did 3 months ago

Ironic

My old post : Stop Saying "gg"

Midnightsoul -> RE: GG (9/29/2011 9:53:09)

uh...i remember fighting goldslayer one time with a support build and i won with no luck and he called me lucky...
on topic, yeah, i dont think noobz would say GG, theyd probably
call u noob 2

Fay Beeee -> RE: GG (9/29/2011 9:59:17)

Well I am sorry guys but unless you tell me not to (in game) I will continue to say one of the following

GG - good game
GF - good fight
Well played

I see nothing wrong in it. Good manners cost nothing. Being polite costs nothing. Being nice costs nothing.

SouL Prisoner -> RE: GG (9/29/2011 10:08:04)

@Fay Beeee

n wat if the opponent did not hve a good game , u juzz won by luck n then u say GG "that doesnt mean respect " its called "sarcasum " ur juzz making fun of ur opponent .

u tell GG when both the players hve tried their best to win "with their skill" then its a GG for both the players..
hope u got the reall meaning of having GG !!!!!!

Fay Beeee -> RE: GG (9/29/2011 10:27:14)

^
No it is only sarcastic if that is what you are looking for. If I was lucky, I say (I was lucky)

I have bad fights quite a lot but I never say bad things because I am annoyed about loosing. I still say GG (or 1 of the above)

btw. I do not get annoyed about loosing. It is a game! Not real life.

MirageD -> RE: GG (9/29/2011 10:30:15)

i agree with fay.....i don't ever feel offended by someone saying "gg"....i take that as a polite...."thanks for the battle, tc, cya soon"....just and ending to the battle

SouL Prisoner -> RE: GG (9/29/2011 10:35:12)

well the record does matter !!! it tell's how gud n how much u understud this game !!! its lyk ur characterstick certificate !

bad record = noob

but i do agree that " u cant abuse ur opponent juzz coz ur losing"

Liz Vicious -> RE: GG (9/29/2011 15:18:30)

@ Fay/MirageD,

I totally agree, It's being polite and, it is only a game after all. I know by the nature of the fight which just occurred as the whether both players felt it was a 'good game' a 'good fight' et al.

Joe10112 -> RE: GG (9/29/2011 15:20:57)

I find GG just to be a symbol of awcknowledgement, saying like "good game" is just courteous. When I know I won by luck, I usually say "lucky me" or something when I won.

Stabilis -> RE: GG (9/29/2011 16:02:37)

GG...

CAN be provoking/umbrageous. This isn't reality. Words are empty words, and you will never know the feeling or meaning behind them. You couldn't tell me you "love me" on ED because its not going to happen (especially with policies there is no human to human contact allowed). You will never interact with the really REAL person who talks in his or her voice (very imlicit and vast in style)...it is NOT their personality, but nominally, very close.

So... these specific fighting phrases in certain circumstances WILL spark tumult in people. It increases with the person's degree of honour and immaturity. Young, grateful kids can snap their fuse quite quickly. So please recognize your status in the moment, and empathize for others. Let us treat one another as we would have ourselves treated.

I will say that people degraded my state of mind on a stressful day by mocking me after a defeat. I was unappreciative.

I have a community-related suggestion. Our accounts should have battle phrases that they output at the start and end of a battle. It should clear up communication issues, imagine outputting "You fought bravely" every time you won; possibly encouraging a smile because they might imply you are a nice person. I would love this.

Matgon -> RE: GG (9/29/2011 16:28:25)

Back when I joined this game in the merger thats what everyone said and to be honest it was a better community than todays (fact) so today I say it if someone doesn't like it... well... thats not my problem is it? [;)]

Wootz -> RE: GG (9/29/2011 17:01:40)

Not really offended by it. Because mostly I get a: "Noob" for that.

redxtra -> RE: GG (9/29/2011 17:11:10)

like to me i only say GG when the battle is like 7+ rounds because if a battle last that long and is close then yea.
battles that are as short as 4 rounds are often one sided battles were the winner is already known

Elf Priest JZaanu -> RE: GG (9/29/2011 18:54:07)

In most forms of formal competition, when the match reaches the end, it is a complementary term use to show respect and courtesy. There is nothing different here. :)

goldslayer1 -> RE: GG (9/29/2011 19:07:23)

@JZ
respect and courtesy
im all for that
but when the enemy does nothing but block and crit u, theres nothing "good" about GG because the game was not good to begin with

Fay Beeee -> RE: GG (9/29/2011 19:21:28)

^Then it is back to the old adage

It you have nothing good to say, say nothing. :)

goldslayer1 -> RE: GG (9/29/2011 19:25:49)

"play fair, or dont play at all"
