Discuss your earliest memories with this game as well as memorable highlights. You can be as brief or detailed as you want to be. I am particularly curious about the players who have had a long history with this game. Here's my story: I started playing this game in mid-December 2009. I remember choosing mage, thinking that this had to be the strongest and most unique class. Before my first battle, I was recruited by a player named Black Hand to his faction. My first battle was awesome, I remember somehow beating a level 5 and when I told Black Hand, he said "Good job. The Guardians of the Black Hand is getting stronger." Within a few days, I had reached level 25 with an awesome record--despite the fact I thought reroute was a useless skill until level 20. I had so much fun before this level, always excited to go up a level and opening a new skill. But when I reached level 25, I experienced the "quitting stage" of this game. Every time I clicked 1v1 or 2v2, there was consistently an invincible level 30 every other battle. Halfway through level 25, I got discouraged and decided to create a new account: a mercenary. With the knowledge of hybrid armor's OPness, I swiftly leveled up with almost no losses until I once reached level 25 and encountered the same problems. Realizing there was no other way to advance, I kept playing. Unfortunately, I was unaware that 2v2 is the true measure of skill--because NPCs dilute 1v1--so thinking that 1v1 would be more important to preserve, I kept playing 2v2 hoping for a good partner every battle. Eventually, I got to level 29 and chose to get varium. Because mercenaries seemed so strong, I was tempted to give the varium to my mercenary. But after much deliberation, I decided to give my first account (Endtime the mage) the varium. As soon as I hit level 30 and discovered the healer mage build, I knew I made the right choice. Some memorable highlights: -I discovered the reroute, deadly aim, and malfunction from .Angel. (a former 2v2 all-timer). -The first top player I saw was Sparticus, who at the time was using a utility claw, high smoke screen/massacre build. -My first ED video was of a level 25 me versing a level 21 opponent. -The first top player I beat was Gamal. I remember being very excited and bragging to the noob buddies I had at the time. -The reason I chose to give varium to my mage was because I saw Daphne and became buddies with Flath and 3.lol. All three had insanely high win rates and were mages. -I remember being really excited when people started recognizing me from YouTube. -I was very loyal to my first faction, declining numerous offers. But when THREE STARS AND A SUN--the top faction at the time--asked me to join, I couldn't say no. I was super excited until I was informed of the 100 kills per day rule--I am too busy with real life for this. I was sad that I had abandoned my very first faction, which I had 2000+ wins in. Fortunately, I saw DeBoise. When I talked to him, he let me join Brotherhood and I've been there since. -Waiting for Gamma was super painful because it seemed as if every time I checked for the update, a new release date was posted. -I remember being insanely unhappy when Field Medic was set to 4 cooldown and agility was enforced, even making a video about "the good times". -The lowest I've been in this game was when Infamous Nightshade deleted a majority of my videos, right after I reached the milestone 100 videos. I still don't know what drove him to do this, especially since I was the one who got him into surveys. -Initially I was unhappy with the release of the TLM because I never liked five-focus--blocks are so annoying. But one day, .Torin. and I were talking about TLM builds and suddenly the idea of a support TLM came to me. I switched into that and have loved the TLM since--until the next update probably.
