I had a idea:

quote:

(BTW, new potential game idea that may either be A And R or a PAM: Hill Kingdoms. We take a part of a truly huge hill and manage it with interactions from each other and dealing with threats from the outside. There could be caves for Dragonlords or something, the flatlands for farming and defense, the mines for mining, The Royal Court Of The Hilltop, the forestlands somewhere in the middle, whatever takes your fancy really. Maybe have one player be The Outsider, who seeks to destroy the whole kingdoms and has the power to do so, and we have to ally to fight him while keeping the others off our backs?

If anyone wants to make this, I call dibs on the bottom of the hill and surrounding flatland. MAYBE also the inside for the mining, though if you all think that too much or want to claim the hill's insides for yourself let me know. Basically, I planned to take defense, farming, and MAYBE metalworking/gemworking if you feel that not too bad. If not just Farming and defense.

Or I may fill in for The Outsider position. Not sure.

Arthur -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (3/13/2014 16:50:17)

Arthur here.

Just wanted to let you guys know that I'll be returning on the 24th so I was wondering.
I actually see a lot of new potential A&R players now.

I was wondering if you guys want to play my old titles or something new that I've thought up?

Old stuff included:
Regaliours
DHN or DH
Spiritfall(just one side this time).

New stuff included:
1. A game I named Endymion Tales which is basically a semi-linear action adventure outfit where you explore a continent in search of something.
Of course there's action and class options. I'll be re-introducing the Word QTE Feature that Regaliours originally brought into play. It's a pleasant setting with nothing too intense or hardcore.

2. Something I've named Knightus. The funny thing is that the name resembles nothing of what the story plays as. You are an adventurer by day who turns into an Assassin by night due to some strange lunar phenomenon. While your gear remains same, you gain access to your otherwise inert Sin Circle, which guides your magic. You cannot use magic during the day. The Sin Circle is divided into 3 parts, namely Assassin's Talent Quadrant, Dagger Dust Quadrant and Ranged Raider Quadrant. Your skills will be allotted to these 3 Quadrants upgrading either which will make your assassin either a Assassin Wraith, an Orthodox Throatslit or a Moonlight Trueshoot respectively. You can have access to none of these as a plain adventurer but you can still fight and do a lot other stuff.

As an Assassin, the storyline is linear but as an adventurer, its mostly what you make of it. Fun part, you actually have no memory of what you do at night but the Assassin does remember stuff that's happened during the day.

What do you think?

kkutwar -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (3/13/2014 18:57:01)

Well I don't usually make a habit of redoing earlier games, so for a new game I would go with Knightus. For an old game Never Forget (was that it?) and Regaliours would be my choices. Speaking of old and new stuff, I got numerous new ideas rearing to go. One of said idea is basically a complete overhaul of the Anything-Goes crazy mess part of R.A.L.F (like that was really about androids). Another of my more finalized ideas is called Chances of Fate, and would actually be two A&Rs running at the same time in the same world. The Dealers of Magic part would be character-focused and giving the players magical servants that actually obeys their commands for once. The other half would be more backstory/information-focused.

Inner Being will probably never make a return, so instead the main element of that has been getting recycled/mixed into newer projects. Speaking of recycling, I'm considering another go for Hero's Fall (this time with far less original content for what's supposed to be a crossover game). I'm considering the new Hero's Fall more like a patchwork mess of numerous worlds and a massive villain team-up.

Besides that I also have a little something called Humanity's Miasma (final title pending) that includes two of everyone's favorite things: Giant superpowered robots and giant superpowered monsters duking it out to the death. This would actually be ready to go at any time but my pal VPhantom would want to give the a-okay before then. We've been working on it since last year so...

Speaking of, Heroes of the Ten Kingdoms would be ready to go at any time as well. Just need to completely rewrite the Bestiary due to the ideas/concepts being out-dated to my current abilities. That and decide on a good starting point... Inner Beasts are getting a sort of buff, but in-game you'll need to figure out the new power yourself.

I've also started work on a game I call A Fallen Heaven (final title pending) that's basically one massive concept fusion of a bunch of old concepts like Awakening of Magic for starters. It'll be a bit before that's ready, but until then... Anyone got opinions on what game they want to see?

Arthur -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (3/15/2014 7:39:38)

I guess I'll go with Knightus. Some stuff I'll be doing this time around:

Changing the way I write the Openers.

Taking a very limited amount of players so as to improve the quality of gameplay.

I'll be using dice-roller tactics to handle player-high level grunt combat or player-player combat.

Using Dice Roller Tactics for the Word QTEs which I'll rename to Complete Control Mode(CCM).

I'll be opening up the number of approaches you can take towards a mission. So, linear yet open.

And something cool, you'll be working with limited inventory and powers which you can switch between missions. Just to maximise your Writing opportunities.

You can also add powers to an external lists wherefrom you can add them to your mission list.

Other than that, here's what you'll be able to do:
Kill
Gather Intel
Steal
Disguise
Hide
Show Mercy(storyline altering)
Buy
Coerce
Bribe
Use anything that the environment gives.

All this in order to complete the mission.

So there you go. Let me know if anything needs to be further clarified.

Frost Moglin -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (7/4/2014 5:07:33)

I got some kind of a "dungeon exploring" game idea, would anyone be intrested in playing it? I'll probably start an OOC thread first for brainstorming about mechanics and such before I start working on the game itself.

megakyle777 -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (7/4/2014 7:14:23)

I don't know if I'd PLAY it but i am interested in the idea. Let's see how it goes.

kkutwar -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (7/9/2014 5:31:28)

So would anyone be interested in joining an inFamous AU A&R which is mainly focused on the player building up a customized arsenal of powers (with a Conduit Vs Humans theme)?

bokterier -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (7/9/2014 7:02:57)

Would be interesting, since I've played all the games. And the idea sounds a little intriguing. (Except Infamous: Second Son. Haven't played that.)

Bastet -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (7/9/2014 9:51:22)

I would join for sure.

1girlhousefan -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (7/20/2014 21:19:13)

I was hoping to post a new game earlier this summer, but many things came up, both academic and technical, so I really have no idea when my new game (which will be part of a series) will be complete and ready to play.

One thing that would be helpful would be ideas for spells. I don't care what kind of spells, as long as it uses mana and doesn't require clubs, bardiches, or halberds (or partisans, or any other bladed polearm) or axes and axe like things. Think of the other weapons I didn't mention. If you run out of strictly-magic ideas, feel free to have spells that specifically needs ANY of the other weapons. Even hammers. Not maces though. Maces count as clubs. Long handled maces are not maces or clubs.

Ack, I'm rambling. I will edit in an OOC link so this doesn't get disruptive.

steel blade -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (7/29/2014 1:35:10)

I'm currently contemplating on a comeback with a complex game. It's complex that the gameplay and story depends on the players' characters.
As for actually finishing the game, I will try to update as often as possible. I'll finish the first post for more details.

It's good to see some new faces in this community, but I also miss the old one when there were a lot A&Rs.
Either way, it's good to be back.

kkutwar -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/1/2014 19:02:06)

Okay, question for everyone: Would anyone be up for a massive multiplayer crossover A&R? I haven't defined much yet since I want to make sure there's actual interest first, but any character would do (such as your characters from previous UCaG games). I'll probably limit the explorable area mainly to an eldritch location (with endless possibilities) so I don't have to manage the various rules of individual worlds. I mainly just want to make something fun for everyone here to play.

megakyle777 -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/2/2014 3:27:09)

I like the idea, but I have to ask: can we play as villains or something? For some reason Hyrule Warriors got me wanting to play a A and R as Ganondorf, though I might go with a more sympathetic Wind Waker style portrayal of him, reflective of his evil actions and wanting to restore Hyrule to it's former glory. Under his rule of course.[:D]

kkutwar -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/2/2014 11:00:42)

Yes, pretty much anything would go regarding characters.

megakyle777 -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/2/2014 12:07:59)

Except people who are blatantly overpowered I assume.[:D] Because here were the powers I was planning on giving him:

Darkness and Forbidden magic: Ganondorf has a practical knowledge of powerful dark and forbidden magic: Mainly used either for offense like in Hyrule Warriors, or to do evil stuff like coruppt, possess, make puppets like Phantom Ganon, Puppet Ganon. His knowledge of dark arts is mostly on a practical level however, and to do bigger or more subtle things he needs time to set it up. Much much else normally however, just time.

Swordsmanship: His skill with blades are quite good, and can be enhanced with dark magic. Uses a combo of these to fight.

Battlehardened/Determinator: It is really hard to kill Ganondorf, even when hit with things that really REALLY should off him.

King of Evil (passive): All things of a lesser evil will bow to his will - minions, artifacts, weapons ETC: and will do his bidding without question or cost or thought of betrayal. All things of a equal or GREATER evil however will challenge and oppose him first, and will only bow and be affected by this if he kicks their sorry butts into line.

Last Chance: If he is killed, he will turn into Ganon, a large monster with greater power. However, he has no control over this form and it is effectivly feral. (Read: The game maker takes a random method of some sort and decides what occurs. If Ganon kill his killer, he revives as Ganondorf by eating their soul. If Ganon dies, game over.

Triforce Of Power: If in his travels Ganondorf attains the Triforce of Power (He does NOT start off with it and it should be hard to get) all his powers increase dramatically.

Weakness: Made Of Evil: All things of a good nature harm him much more they any other weapon. Note: I DO NOT MEAN A HOLY NAUTURE. I mean things that are good. For example, if a blade is holy but has a dark history it will not hurt so much, but if a blade or artifact is solely used to defend the helpless, save innocents ETC it will hurt a lot. Ironically, this means stuff like cheesy friendship beams would hurt him more then hacking at him with a normal blade.

kkutwar -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/7/2014 11:05:43)

As long as you can't implode stars with your casual thoughts I'll let anything go. Besides that, I also got another A&R planned that has mind/dream-traveling as a thing along with fighting monsters born from the darkness of human souls.

megakyle777 -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/13/2014 9:20:25)

Sounds good too. get on both of those.

kkutwar -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/17/2014 13:10:04)

I've reworked The Gods' Champions to, firstly, allow for a lot of character potential and player content development. So if anyone would be interested in playing an improved version of it I would like to hear it. Don't want to put it up if nobody is going to apply after all. Though I do feel rather bad about all my idiotic mistakes in the past, so do give me a chance everyone.

Chazero -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/18/2014 5:32:11)

What kind of A&R is The Gods' Champions?

kkutwar -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/18/2014 12:42:02)

Fantasy with the ultimate goal of aiding the Gods (in-universe it is just one week until their gathering at the capital city Einheit). Pretty much anything goes regarding characters, so any number of concepts you could get to work there. There's a rather heavy focus on the adventuring itself, and there's numerous sub-plots leading up to the end goal (whether that be dealing with the overall plot in pieces or establishing yourself as a hero).

megakyle777 -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/18/2014 14:52:40)

Just curious, do you still plan to do the crossover thing? I still want to play as Ganondorf.

Nartbor -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/25/2014 17:38:21)

How much do you guys honestly like creating your own characters? Because I have some ideas for some pretty bangin' characters but I think everyone would rather invent their own PCs

EDIT: I mean, at most it would be name and backstory

kkutwar -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/30/2014 0:29:01)

Nobody else seems interested in it, so no I guess. How many A&Rers are still active here anyways?

megakyle777 -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/30/2014 0:33:50)

It's not that, it's just noone posts here. try asking in The Ban Game.

kim346 -> RE: UCaG Guide / General UCaG OOC / Welcome/Goodbye (9/30/2014 21:45:50)

I still do some A&R, but nothing has really interested me yet over the span of 18 months I have been lurking around here.
