ngshuyi94: I don't see how my disposition would be taken advantage of. If the first ETA is that important then I guess what comes with it has its focus downplayed.

I would sufficiently call that conditioning for impatient behavior but that's too far of a stretch

@PD: Your argument is completely invalid. This game is a business and it's part of a company therefore they're obliged to meet deadlines or atleast inform us as to why the updates were delayed. They blamed the first delay on the bugs and because it wasn't quite ready, and they used the same excuse today. It should be Cinderella's job, or a dev's job to let us know what the problems were just to satisfy the customers.

Using the same excuse for two delays is unprofessional and it's not good enough. They've had more than 2 weeks to work on this and the players have been left in the dark. We haven't had any previews of weapons, any information of what's going on etc. The problem lies in the player/staff communication, and not so much with the delays.

This game has survive all kind of disasters. So i dont think it will come to an end i have been seeing this game before alpha stage and it did really well.

@T.600: So my argument is invalid because they've been obliged to? Where's the evidence in that? I see nothing that says "We are obligated to update this game in periodic fashion". As far as I know there's nothing wrong with using the same excuses, nor is it mandated that they cannot. And they did let us know that it was being delayed. And it SHOULD be Cinderella's job to tell us? As far as the public information of staff gets concerned the staff aren't even obligated to communicate with their player nor use the forums nor twitter.


Obviously nobody here understands how the game actually works coding wise. You wanna know how many files it takes to make 1 thing? A big big BIG number.

@PD: Of course, it's not mandatory to meet deadlines but if they don't meet deadlines, especially if it's a regular thing like it has been with this game, then it can be disastrous for any business and it certainly doesn't help increase their reputation or popularity. On the ED Homepage, it says that they update weekly. This is what they have said they do, and not us. If they feel like they can't update weekly, then why not change that and tell everyone that they can't? That's much better than doing what they are now.

@soulprisnerx you should watch the video of making azreal bane or celtic cleaver you will get how difficult it is to design a weapon.[:D]

@T.600: AE is a private company. They don't have shareholders nor investors because they aren't public. For all I care they can be abusive and callous as they want and nothing would happen.

Homepages aren't exactly accurate representations on the game's focus or it's actual contents and obligations. And they don't specify what weekly updates are. They can be small changes within the engine that nobody realizes or is told about (such as very minute anti-hack patches that they don't talk about), to huge content releases.

And Why do they not change it? Ask them. Perhaps they understand more than I do. They are the people running the show after all.

For the developers, it's Tuesday at 12:30 AM. I'm sorry for angering you so, but we'll be able to have a fresher perspective in the morning.

There are some in-house changes that should hopefully bring us onto a more regular development schedule (and we weren't planning on a huge release competing with the TMBG event in AQW, as far as I know). I've inherited the storyline, so there should be more missions and story growth as I get more used to it (I've literally had the documents for 5 days, I'm still trying to piece together Big Tuna's thoughts, with all his half-thoughts and undeveloped story lines, as well as incorporate my own ideas).

So, since this isn't really a discussion, and topics with titles like "No update today!!!!!!!" get locked. So, locked.
