Un67 -> RE: =Mech= National Novel Writing Month (11/2/2011 18:33:42)

Making good progress with 4895 words so far, with more coming up tonight [:)]

superjars -> RE: =Mech= National Novel Writing Month (11/2/2011 21:14:43)

Well, today went very well. Another 2,277 words to bring me up to 4,133 in total. Today's chapter was told from the perspective of the other major character of the book, and either I write better for a girl or the ideas had become better coalesced in my brain. Whichever is the case, today went very well! :)

I'm excited to keep going with this story: NaNoWriMo 2011

Un67 -> RE: =Mech= National Novel Writing Month (11/2/2011 21:47:40)

I have finished the day with 5709 words, much better than I thought I would do! Progress™ is coming*!

*Some restrictions may apply.

Eukara Vox -> RE: =Mech= National Novel Writing Month (11/3/2011 1:09:03)

Well, I consider myself lucky that I have written anything. I technically is on target for two days, but I am not happy with it. But as Superjars reminded me, I knew going into this that I wouldn't always have all the time I want.

I still have a research paper and a fantasy story to work on for the classes I teach...

Hmmm, I need to try and set aside time in the morning like I did the first day. Well, that is unless I get called in tomorrow to work.

Anyway, congrats to those who survived day two!

superjars -> RE: =Mech= National Novel Writing Month (11/3/2011 22:36:06)

You must have a lot more time than I do, Un67. Day 3 ends with 6,346, but so far I'm feeling good about the direction the story is taking. I hope it continues to go this well...

Un67 -> RE: =Mech= National Novel Writing Month (11/3/2011 22:46:21)

^ I probably do, I'm really sitting on piles of spare time. As it stands currently I have 8343. I've gotten some good moving scenes from what I've done today, so and I've set things up for another scene, so it's looking good. Another bonus is that tomorrow is no school and I can devote most of the day to NaNo.

superjars -> RE: =Mech= National Novel Writing Month (11/5/2011 0:19:29)

Well, writing did not go so well on a Friday night. Too many people around and too many distractions. I did drum out 1,480 words, ending at 7,826!

I had originally thought this would be chapter 4, but it makes more sense as part of chapter 3, with chapter 4 starting with tomorrow's writing. I'm curious how to see how a weekend writing goes. :)

demolitiondragon -> RE: =Mech= National Novel Writing Month (11/5/2011 2:14:59)

^ Some's better than none.

Great work, to all who're still plugging away. =]

Un67 -> RE: =Mech= National Novel Writing Month (11/5/2011 9:34:53)

13650 currently. Not as many as I hoped, but still good enough for me.

superjars -> RE: =Mech= National Novel Writing Month (11/6/2011 0:55:37)

I struggled to write today. Day off from work, so there was no set schedule. No agendas. So I lazed about and didn't start writing until tonight. And then I was distracted horribly :O

Anyway, made it up to 8,881 words today.

Wildroses -> RE: =Mech= National Novel Writing Month (11/6/2011 6:49:17)

I've been having a terrible time with real life. Stupid DF war, housecleaning jobs and allergy attacks! Taking the one day=1667 rule I've been trying to follow, I should be roundabout 10000 right now, but am only on about 4800. I'll try make some of it up today and tomorrow, but I'm finding it hard writing more than 2000ish words a day, so I'm worried. Possibly 2000 words in one sitting is all I can do. Once I've met with Centrelink, gone to the chemist, packed for a weeks visit and bought my ticket the day is pretty free. I'm hoping to get some done on the train when I visit my family. I will also be under the eye of my mother, who seems to have decided to be my accountability person in this. Oh well, I'd better get off the forums and do some writing right now before bed. Even a little is better than none.

superjars -> RE: =Mech= National Novel Writing Month (11/7/2011 0:59:47)

I hope things calm down for you a bit wildroses, so you can get back to writing. I am still on track right now, but I am disappointed by how little I got done this weekend. I was hoping to jump ahead and get a ton written, but between catching up on shows, RPing and just not feeling like writing, I really didn't.

Anyway, got to 10,842, so still not doing too bad. 1/5th of the way there! Woo!

demolitiondragon -> RE: =Mech= National Novel Writing Month (11/7/2011 2:43:59)

Once I've met with Centrelink

Take a notebook and pen with you while you wait. You'll be done and dusted before they see you. =P Eh... perhaps that is a bit cynical...

And congrats, Superjars!

Argeus the Paladin -> RE: =Mech= National Novel Writing Month (11/7/2011 9:02:45)

Almost 12000 words now.

I blame the following things for my lack of speed, in no particular order:

- My Something Awful thread on Chinese history.
- My Gundam SEED Destiny/Mount and Blade crossover/AAR.
- A particular online RP.
- Warcraft III maps and mapmaking.
- My part-time job.

But other than that, I am having heaps of fun.

Un67 -> RE: =Mech= National Novel Writing Month (11/7/2011 19:16:22)

21208 words! It's pretty easy to get those words out with constant word wars (which I have mostly with people on the Bay12 Forums doing NaNo).

Argeus the Paladin -> RE: =Mech= National Novel Writing Month (11/7/2011 19:20:39)

Well, my purpose was also to churn out as quality a first draft as I humanly could, so word warring is out of the question for me.

Still, if my pacing continues, I think I'm going to make it well enough. [:)]

superjars -> RE: =Mech= National Novel Writing Month (11/7/2011 21:44:03)

Another solid day of writing, ending at 13,336. I think today was my strongest showing of NaNoWriMo to date. As I progress through the story, it becomes easier to write. The plot is starting to coalesce into a shape that I am excited about. Should be a good, solid tale.

Un67, you are ridiculous. That's like 6 days ahead of schedule. Wow, I'm impressed. :P

Argeus the Paladin -> RE: =Mech= National Novel Writing Month (11/8/2011 9:25:38)

13800 words. Too slow.

This is what happens when you try to pursue QUALITY in NaNo. [:(]

superjars -> RE: =Mech= National Novel Writing Month (11/8/2011 20:30:44)

For some reason, I'm super-tired, so I didn't get as much done as I had hoped. However, just continuing to crank more out tonight would be useless, so I'm stopping for now. Anyway, ended at 14,353, putting me still ahead of the game. I'll try to punch out some more stuff tomorrow. I need to get some sleep though.

demolitiondragon -> RE: =Mech= National Novel Writing Month (11/12/2011 21:29:19)

So, week 2 is nearly over... How's everyone doing?

Un67 -> RE: =Mech= National Novel Writing Month (11/12/2011 21:41:22)

31500 exactly. I've been slowing down, although of course I'm still well ahead.

superjars -> RE: =Mech= National Novel Writing Month (11/13/2011 10:27:08)

I'm still running ahead of the game, but not by a whole lot. Sitting at 20,531 right now. :)

superjars -> RE: =Mech= National Novel Writing Month (11/13/2011 18:22:15)

Today was a really good day, pushing out around 2,800 words and leaving me at 23,300 words.

Un67 -> RE: =Mech= National Novel Writing Month (11/21/2011 16:34:00)

50050.

Yes, I am now finished. It's really quite horrible to read, but I'm finished. :D

demolitiondragon -> RE: =Mech= National Novel Writing Month (11/23/2011 3:46:07)

^ Congratulations! That was insanely fast. XD
