With balance being extremely bad for extremely long I have decieded to play my alts agian at low levels.

Guess what I found.

:O The fights actuly balance :D

I can win with strategy rather then being slain by lazy Power abusive builds. And to add to it TLM are actuly pretty easy to kill at low levels on the odd occasion you find one.

Only trouble is with nothing else to do my alts will level pretty quick and then Il have to make a new one to start all over agian.....

Yes devs if you read this balance is sooooo bad you are driving people away.



Have you giys noticed that low level fights are much more balanced to? discus.

Because players at low levels are not nearly as powerful as players at high levels. And even though they are more balanced low levels are a low more rude,aggresive, and violent. I see a lot of rude name calling at low levels. Its sad really.

You know what makes things balanced at low levels? Those requirements on Skills that prevent low levels from abusing skills like Plasma Bolt, Massacre, Deadly Aim, Hybrid Armor, Berzerker, etc. Now a lvl 10 merc will have to have 42 dex for Hybrid and can't spam it all into strength like they used to.

They can spam watever skill/stat they wont regardless of requirments and you can still easily beat them.

So they spam STR ?
Just sheild mana drain they cant do anything.

Most mages that spam magic are easily countered. Most of the time you just need reasonably high hp to last their attacks then pick em off after.



Requirments did nothing because balance was never an issue at low levels.

Why? No builds became Oped because they can always be beatin easily.

I've got an level 13 Merc.
Beaten Mages who are 5 levels above me.
What do I do?
I put my Hybrid Armor on Resistance and Stun-Zerk 'em!

Merc is still OP at low levels IMO :P (pwns both BHs and TMs)

@remorse Most low levels don't have the strategic input of knowing that all energy or physical is a bad idea. It used to be before requirements that the most prominent Merc build was Artillery spam or Hybrid Str spam. Either one would kill easily. You can't really say something is balanced when you're dominating the entire level group and any build can be rendered useless at any point.

Ive got mages whos beat mercs 5 levels above.

How?
The switch Hybrid then I phiscal gun plus deadly aim and bludgeon them to death after I use sheilds and asimilate to take their zerker.

I can see how mercs may be considered OP at low levels when to dum people play.

But if to smart low levels people play it is almost compltely balanced.

@remorse The only up sides to using alts are 1. Varium has little advantages(almost beat a Founder 5 levels ahead of while I'm non varium) 2. Most new players wouldn't know the difference between energy and physical if it bit them in the face or you could say they have terrible experience if you prefer.

u guys are all wrong mages own big time at low lvls u just need to have a gr8 build mehehehehe i am not gonna tell you guys the build cause well i dont want this build to be too common :) and yesh it is super fun to play as low lvl. and btw i can 2 hit kill almost any1 as a mage at low level.

^There are amazing High win% builds for all classes at low levels.

Varium is not the only upside, There are also no need for enhacments which is great(enhacments are what make spamming builds a problem, they are just another build without them and easily beatin.). AND there is ALOT!! more variity I usally see the same amount of classes which just proves it must have some degree of balance.

I agree with you that fights are balanced at lower levels. I think this shows the critics of EpicDuel's balance issues, that yes some classes are overpowered. Although at a basic level the classes are equal, this shows that EpicDuel has got the different classes 99% right, but with increasing in option the chance of abuse is raised as well. I think one of the main problems with Tactical Mercenary is not the class itself but the weapons that go well with it. We've all seen str builds with the Delta Club. My personal opinion is that in the future weapons should not have one major stat increase (E.x Harvest Weapons +14 str) But a more balanced layout. That being said I think EpicDuel in general is getting better and better by the release.

Thats just me long rambling opinion.

Fights aren't balanced at lower levels, they are just more fun because you can use a lot of different builds
that wouldn't work at higher levels becauseof the current issue with balance. Yes it is more balanced at lower levels but not
completely balanced.

Lower level fights are not only more balanced, but more simple and fun.

I would say this all comes from the simpleness of it, and as things get more and more complex it is harder to balance things out.

I suggest just making things simple by making each and every ability have the same usefulness for a completely balanced character at each level. This way classes should not be more or less powerful if all skills are equal.

I think once you reach above level 24 almost all creativity is lost, between strength bounties, tank mercs, and the ridiculous
max plasma bolt/overload because if you get stunned you're pretty much dead already.

Reason Low Level = More fun and More Balanced is due to Enhancements/Weapon Stats...

ummm ya :) im happy that i stopped paying (ps : i pay about 95$ for the 10k var )
and i feel sorry for those who are still doing that :) by laughing on em :) ( whats gone is gone / money comes fast but go faster o_O )

I thinks its between lvl5-23
I say level 5 because up to 5 you pretty much have to strike and heal.

I also say 23 because past the maxiumum fightin glevel of 28 is when people start to class change/use enahcments and abuse quick killing builds.

Balanced? Meh.... Considering how heavily mercs at low levels dominate with high str and the monster maul, i disagree.
