Remorse -> Class custom armour?? (12/29/2011 5:46:29)

Thier have been many new multi class armours (meaning amours suited to any class) resently.

Which is great especially with the high expence of this game from things like enhacments.

But it would be alot cooler if the armour changed its looks according to what class and gender you are.

I know it would be more work for the art designers but I think it would be well worth it as mages and hunters often arnt sutied to look chubby.

The only armour out so far that is both multi class and class customizable is founder armour, it is no wonder as to why that armour is by far the best looking and I think the fact it changes according to both gender and class is a contribution to its great looks.

Also for shops It would prberly be alot easier to stack the multigender/class armours into one pile.

Meaning rather then have 4 armour up for purchase (1 set for males and 1 for females) it just had 2 armours one with phiscal defnece and one with res, BUT when you purchase the armour it changes its looks to suit both your gender and class.

This means if new multi+customisable class armours were made their wouldnt be 12 armours (1for gender 1 for class and 1 for armour type) of the same type to choose from rather only two.

What do you guys think,
should their be more multi class armours which change looks according to your class?
Discuss.

Gepard Acht -> RE: Class custom armour?? (12/29/2011 6:15:36)

yea i dont agree with slim and athletic hunters being fat like mercs or unhygienic and unhealthy skinny like mages

all armor that is usable by every class needs to evolve like founder

AllenLingChen -> RE: Class custom armour?? (12/29/2011 7:06:32)

I agree, but if armor suits both genders, I'm sure the devs are gonna add a "gender change" option, and make it overpriced like name change to cost 1k varium.
However, it doesn't seem recent that classes fit genders, as i recall there was space warrior, and that was last X-mas. (I think founder was made multi class after that.)

Remorse -> RE: Class custom armour?? (12/29/2011 7:27:03)

^ Yes but the point is founder is a type of armour and it has always been diffrent look for all classes.

Also the actuly promised to be developing gender change way back in beta.

No, they said that they won't make gender change because it would just confuse people... (I know that Titan said something like that.)

Basicball -> RE: Class custom armour?? (12/29/2011 8:37:28)

yeah, they said they'd never make gender change same with things like trading and such

however, they said the same about fame as well

ND Mallet -> RE: Class custom armour?? (12/29/2011 13:17:10)

@BB They never mentioned anything against fame. I don't recall them ever saying they wouldn't implement anything requiring people to click a button on your char. page. I do recall them saying they would implement features to connect to social networking sites to tell your friends about your achievements in-game but nothing about fame being a no-go.

rej -> RE: Class custom armour?? (12/29/2011 14:08:16)

Agreed.
The lack of class-specific armors combined with non class-specific helmets often makes it difficult to distinguish the class, or ever gender of a player at the beginning of a fight. quite annoying.

ND Mallet -> RE: Class custom armour?? (12/29/2011 14:14:20)

Stat page is all you need to know for the game. You don't need to know the gender of a person to beat them in battle. Chances are you're going to look at a build and skill tree to know what to expect anyways so the "I don't like them because I don't know what class they are" argument doesn't hold much water.

Remorse -> RE: Class custom armour?? (12/30/2011 1:55:10)

^ It can do,

I have poor internet and I know if I start I dont get much time to check their skills often it pauses or takes too long that I miss a turn if I do, making my first stikes often very blind.

So knowing their class via their armour is great and it not only just that of coarse.

Its what makes classes a class....

Mages should be reasonably skinny ( Not abnormally) hunters should be relativel average and mercs should be well built.

It just makes this game more visially appealing and it sorta gives the players a sence of owenership towards their look.

drinde -> RE: Class custom armour?? (12/30/2011 2:12:42)

I totally agree. With all the Look-I'm-Buff armors, there is no variety for the eyes of the players, which leads to boredom, which leads to leaving.

I mean, come on, look at the recent armors.

Tesla, Beast Rider, Frost Reaper, Bunnyborg are all humongous. The only reasonably sized armor is NW's Duds.

veneeria -> RE: Class custom armour?? (12/31/2011 17:06:37)

Agreed with remorse there. Although i fear that this would slow down many of the weekly updates, making 12 color custom armors isn't close to be easy, plus them being "different".
A possible way to fix, perhaps, would be giving some extra time at the first turn. [>:]

goldslayer1 -> RE: Class custom armour?? (12/31/2011 18:47:52)

mercs, aren't fat.
the new multi class armors are fat.
mercs are buff.

Remorse -> RE: Class custom armour?? (1/1/2012 2:19:36)

@ veneeria

Actuly they will only have to make 6 desiegns but their would be 12 to choose from as being energy or phiscal doesnt change the look hence does not require a design.

@Goldslayer,
Hence I said mercs are ment to be "well built"
And I agree they new armour are almost too fat for mercs...

Im back... -> RE: Class custom armour?? (1/1/2012 6:19:09)

I support 100% it would help a lot with the problem of stupid class hoppers

First of all, yes it does. In case you didn't notice, this is a social game. Second of all, you should really stop trolling people. It's starting to get annoying.

In what way may I ask is he trolling rej? He's stating a valid point and Remorse made another valid point. Stop throwing the word "troll" around.

nico0las -> RE: Class custom armour?? (1/2/2012 20:22:50)

The armors need to be able to morph. It's a waste of money to buy an armor (nowadays) that is class-specific. We change classes far more
often now, and it seems appropriate that we leave class specific armors behind and evolve. The game is changing, and we need to either change with it or
be left behind. Restricting players to a single class will get us nowhere, especially in the quest for perfect balance.

Remorse -> RE: Class custom armour?? (1/3/2012 11:39:09)

^
Actualy I was proposing mutating armors that change looks to suit your class

XxKirachanXx -> RE: Class custom armour?? (1/3/2012 12:40:56)

I feel silly for this, but on an occasion or two, I had mistook a full varium blood/tech mage with custom armor and a sword for a tac merc. Granted by level 32, I'm kinda expecting to run into one, but still ;)
I should have checked his tree before assuming the worst, I might have won that battle...
