huuduy1 -> CH more IMBA ????? (2/10/2012 21:43:08)

This new update is really unfair for people not play CH or TM. Because they have Malfunction <- reduce all ranged weapon chance to deflect :((
P/s : Hopefully you guy put deflection back to SUPPORT not TECHNOLOGY

DeathGuard -> RE: CH more IMBA ????? (2/10/2012 21:48:30)

Lol, they won't change it back, they test it and now it is fine the way it is, support stat can't have so much special effects

Typical self-loving comment right there.

Of course the deflect chance needs to be moved back to support. There is no doubt of that simple fact in any intelligent Epicduel player's mind.

DeathGuard -> RE: CH more IMBA ????? (2/10/2012 22:01:20)

@Rej: It doesn't affects me in no way since I use an energy armor so I only use 20-24 since I use stat points in strength, support, hp and energy [;)]I do no tank.

What special effect has tech only than providing resistance and improving certain skills? None and now it is deflect ;)

I will go down the list (in detail) of what tech provides.
1. resistance. between 0 and 54-55 technology, a players resistance level increases at a rate of 1 ever 2-3 points. Primary damage and auxillary damage improve at a rate of 4. Therefor, putting points in technology is already in some ways a better investment than support.
2. Bot damage. Every 4-6 points, a player's bot damage increases by 1. This may sound like an insignificant amount, until you take into consideration that you can apply this additional bot damage at the same time as your resistance increases. Sounds overpowered? You bet!
3. Technology improves abilities. In every single class, there is at least 1 ability that improve with technology, and some of these abilities are powerful high-damage attacks such as plasma bolt (tech mage) or plasma cannon (blood mage) thus giving certain classes yet MORE damage output from a stat that should be primarily for protection.
4. Technology now improves deflection rates. Deflect has a basic chance of occurring of 10%. It's maximum chance is 25%. Since the improvement rate of deflect chance (according to the wiki) is 1% per 3 technology, that means that a player with a mere 45 more tech can hit the maximum deflection chance. Since many tank builds use as much as 90, 100, or (in my case) 121 tech, this is a very easy number to hit.

ND Mallet -> RE: CH more IMBA ????? (2/10/2012 22:26:48)

@rej
1. Support increases chance to go first(and this is a big advantage against some builds)
2. Critical Strikes(cuts through defenses a lot)
3. Faster rage(rage is powerful against tanks)
4. Aux damage
5. Skill improving as well

That's 5 to Tech's current number of 4. Don't forget you can use Malf to weaken Tech while you can do squat against Support.

DeathGuard -> RE: CH more IMBA ????? (2/10/2012 22:28:13)

@Rej: Didn't support abuser had more than 123 stats on support? Deflects are way useless compare to inflict crits don't you think?

Supports improve artillery strike, reflex boost, defense matrix, malfunction, energy shield, so many skills that are used by all classes. You're so intelligent it seems you want to make support stat op'ed once again.

rej -> RE: CH more IMBA ????? (2/10/2012 22:32:11)

1. Support increases chance to go first(and this is a big advantage against some builds) But it is still far from garunteed, which it should be.
2. Critical Strikes(cuts through defenses a lot) The chance of a critical hit occurring is less than half of the chance of a block, which is equally 9if not more) devastating.
3. Faster rage(rage is powerful against tanks) (Rage only ignores 45% of defense, so many players would still be hitting extraordinarily low against true tanks.)
4. Aux damage. I laughed the most when I read this one. Auxiliary is only one attack, and you may only use it once every 3 rounds.
5. Skill improving as we. Well* and all skills improve with support.

Excuse me while I try to decide if you are arguing for the sake of it, you're trying to win favor with the authority, or you actually somehow believe what you are saying.

Quite the contrary, i simply wish the bring support builds back on par with other builds. The fools who are running the balance system at the moment have taken it upon themselves to make one of the six stats so incredibly useless that it defies all attempts to use effectively. They have done this over a period of five balance changes, each making the skill progressively weaker until you are left with the useless, lifeless husk that you see today. Support may have been Overpowered for a short time, but now strength and technology dominate the game. Strength has been lamented as being overpowered for nearly as long as the game has existed, yet no serious have been taken against it, while support is repeatedly weakened.
Hopefully you see reason and stop thinking only of your self by the time you finish this post, Deathguard.

Lets be honest here, before robots, technology was worthless. After robots, it became as recognized as double strike.

Indeed, and it has only become more powerful since then, except for the "cut in half" bot nerf that was applied a long while ago.

ND Mallet -> RE: CH more IMBA ????? (2/10/2012 22:40:01)

You're complaining that tech shouldn't improve Deflect rates. I'm saying it should. Support shouldn't affect deflect just as much as strength shouldn't affect block or deflect as well. There needs to be a downside to spamming offensive stats and now there is one for both support and strength opposed to just strength before Deflect moved to tech.

DeathGuard -> RE: CH more IMBA ????? (2/10/2012 22:43:26)

How I'm selfish? I got way more support than tech so why I should support it? As I said, it doesnt affects me in no way. There is no rule that says that we have to abuse one stat to win battles or it exists one? Creativity may be in extinction these days but we can still try to use it.
Said that, I don't think we would get anywhere.

Clearly you have never touched a support abuse ability. With no heal, no extraordinary zooka damage, lowered crit chances, weakened rages, and now the removal of deflect chance, support is beyond useless.
Before the most recent three nerfs, most support abusers relied on three abilities in their arsenal: Zooka, malf/multi (depending on the class) and heal. The zooka was the only reliable, energy-cost-free, high hitting ability, that they possessed. Zookas, as you know, have three turns of cooldown. In other words, the most often you could use a basooka was every three rounds. Meanwhile strength abusers can hit high with nearly anything. Such as:
Smokescreen.
Berserk.
double strike.
Cheap shot.
Massacre.
Maul.
Atom Smasher.
Sidearm.
Strike (Instant recharge)

So if you truly believe that support needed yet another damper on it's so called "power" then i'm afraid that I will have to completely discount any future opinions that you have to offer.
