Ok. First of all I would like to point out how every other thread about mechachillids is something bad about them. This says something.

Mechas are basically a waste. If it's 1v1, you will win. I've never lost against a Mecha. Ever... If it's 2v2, with 1 human on each side, the side with the better human wins. Sure, you'll get an occasional crit Berzerker or a mecha will act stupid and not attack someone with 4 hp, but for the most part, you can take mechas out of the equation. If it's 1 human/1 mecha vs 2 Mechas, You win. I'm sure they're quite hard for low levels, but for high levels they are nothing more than a bother and a waste of time.

Perhaps someone could argue against this "Hey, be happy with free wins!". I don't care about getting free wins... I literally groan out loud when I face a mecha, because I'm so sick of getting free wins that have no variation in strategy at all.

My suggestion is that (I guess it's too late now that we're 3/4 done the war) NPCs be removed from war battles. NPCs will never be fun to fight, regardless of how smart they are. They will always do the same things in specific scenarios.

Mind you, Sympleton, that Mechachillids were added as a new feature to spice up the war. Now they have their faults, but they aren't just "Free Wins". But at some points, they won't kill an enemy with 4 health, and sometimes they will. Mind you, the war is focused around these Mechas and their connection to the vault, and that connection to the Queen. So taking them out from the equation (Already 3/4 through the war) is like taking a number away from an equation ( +12=something). I do agree, these things would've been better off serving some other function, but what?

I mean, we got armor, guns, primaries, auxiliaries, and then bikes from them. I will admit, if you have never lost to a Mecha, and you don't think 1v1 is enough, I'm sure you'd agree with the 2 players against 1 player and the 1 NPC, right?

Removed signature as per rules. ~TG

^ actually, considering that I have almost no chance of losing to one, Mechachillids are indeed free wins. I believe this is the case with most lvl 33+'s.

Lore can easily be fudged, and if it's for the sake of having fun, then I really don't care about the possible story-line complications. "Oh dear! A giant spaceship marked with an unknown alien decal has just destroyed all the mechachillids!" Boom. Done. This also sets them up for the next war :P

And no, I don't like the 2 player Vs. 1 human/1 mecha, because the team with 2 players almost always wins.

Mechas r stupid they should always attack the person with lowest hp not lowest defence *facepalm* and they also should heal/shield u when needed

Joe10112 -> RE: Mechachillids (7/23/2012 15:05:57)

I find that as a level 33 nonvar right now, level 35 Mechalids have gotten significantly harder in 1v1.

At the beginning, I could throw up a Defense Matrix and I'd be fine. But now I have to watch out for Gun and Zerker, and those are pretty OP.

DeathHound -> RE: Mechachillids (7/23/2012 16:02:49)

@Spectra it would be complicated (For AE) to make the NPC attack the one with the lowest HP because of the fact that each other player could change significantly in HP over a few turns. However, if such a thing was made, then it would make the war a lot easier.

@Joe Yeah that threw me off. Not only that, their shields are more protective, and they have the stun bolt as well. This little "Experiment" they had makes winning a lot harder against them. However, that's what this war is all about, "Fight Hard, Get Lots Of Rewards".
