ur going to fail -> Infernal war vs Frost war (10/9/2012 20:37:53)

which did u like better?

for me it was frost war, infernal promoted many str BM/BH builds, that i could deal with, but to make the most of your time u had to get a lot of vault dmg (str builds..).

frost war gave us single player mode for a while which i liked.

My Name is Jake -> RE: Infernal war vs Frost war (10/9/2012 20:47:29)

I liked the infernal war better because it was PvP and not fighting the same 3 NPCs over and over.

^so? just 1v1 a bit a get used to it. even if u lose a lot in 1v1 u could take it out on war npcs...

kaiseryeux21 -> RE: Infernal war vs Frost war (10/9/2012 20:55:56)

i liked the infernal wars due to many rewards. many new weapons, fast credit farming, new house, new bike, more cheevo. what more can we ask for??

ND Mallet -> RE: Infernal war vs Frost war (10/9/2012 21:35:33)

Infernal war because you couldn't buy your way to the top of the board as easily as before and non variums had a much better chance.

Mother1 -> RE: Infernal war vs Frost war (10/9/2012 22:54:59)

Both had their plus and minuses.

Forstland had a lot more missions then the infernal war for more rewards and a lot more cheevos then the infernal war which was only for bombs and one cheevo.
However the cons were this war was a varium based war and non variums were basically at a disadvantage.

The infernal war it was easier to earn war rank, and was non varium player friendly.

However one big fault of this war was that you could skip the vault and battle the non player characters over and over again and this was overly abused especially for those who were going for 2 vs 2 and 1 vs 1 since if you went to a near empty server you could get NPC majority of the time.

Not to mention the bombs unlike with frostland were refunded for a tiny amount of credits instead of getting a full varium refund like with frostland war. This sucked if you actually brought your bombs with varium, or if after the vault was destroyed and you still NPC farmed and got bombs you only got a small amount of credits.

However out of both wars I like the infernal one better only because I actually played in this one where as frostland I couldn't due to not having a faction and being low level even though I did get the edgar eyes cheevo.

frost war had one flaw and that was the varium buy-in. ED single player is great.

InceptionAE -> RE: Infernal war vs Frost war (10/10/2012 21:08:32)

Frost war, felt a bit natural to have in a game. Unlike infernal war, it was like the dev's wanted us to have the real feeling of being in one. Torture. >.<

veneeria -> RE: Infernal war vs Frost war (10/10/2012 21:59:37)

Infernal war, like mention before, it didn't felt as repetitive as the past war. You didn't know what you would find and the varium users didn't had the impossible to reach upper hand.
I fought more in this war, than actuality in the past war and normal gameplay, i call it a success, but still far from perfect.

I loved Infernal war. Easy credits, easy influence, improved win rate %, tons of cheevo's, seriously what more could you possibly ask for? Good job devs. [;)]

@ Shadowmaster

More missions would have been nice. At least in the frostland war there was more missions that didn't involve getting mostly bombs.

Also how about a having it so you couldn't abuse the LB system? Thanks to the option of walking out of the vault while it was up people were abusing the system to get the 2 vs 2 and 1 vs 1 cheevos. Even if it was random where you couldn't choose the mode during the war fights people would go to near empty servers so they could NPC grind in 2 vs 2 mode, and win battle's quickly while skipping the vault. I am not sure about the legion side but I know for a fact this was happening on the exile side. If they do something like this again hopefully they will make it so you have to fight the boss and can't walk out on it unless the boss is down.

@Mother1

Yea more missions would have been welcome. On the topic about "abusing" you know people will always find a way to "abuse" something. When the next war comes you'll see it will happen again no matter how good they will make it, as I said people will find a way to "abuse".

But I'm happy with that one mission chain that granted us a cheevo, and although I didn't participate in Frysteland War much, It was really boring to fight the same NPC all the time (for me only cause I wasn't able to take down Yeti Hulk or Fenris). I think I speak in name of most people that weren't lv34 at that time when I say that it was way better to go and level up instead of playing in the war. If you wanted to get War Hero you needed to prepare some serious money to get it. In Infernal war everyone had an equal shot to get War Hero, heck, even some non vars got it if I remember correctly. In Infernal War when lv 35 was released you would play in the war and level up at the same time. How awesome is that? When they make the next war I really hope it will have same or somewhat same playstyle as Infernal one. And yea they should make you not be able to go out before you fight the boss, it was happening on Legion side aswell.

ur going to fail -> RE: Infernal war vs Frost war (10/12/2012 21:53:09)

i think a lot of u r saying infernal because:

1. more influence (although idc)
2. u weren't there

tbh idc about influence. wars r like NPCs on roids cuz u get much more bang for ur buck vs. normal NPCs.

rej -> RE: Infernal war vs Frost war (10/13/2012 18:46:40)

Definitely Infernal. Frost was little more than a buying competition, and you did not even receive battle tokens for killing the war NPCs. Also, the Infernal war was much more engaging, as it featured random pvp fights rather than the same War NPC every time.
