Midnightsoul -> Stats being reduced (12/16/2012 4:16:49)

Guys, We know from the ED team that the amount of stats will be reduced. How does this make u feel?

Personally, I'm uncomfortable. Maybe they can have something like the enhancement points dont exist and they already just come with the wep instead. Yes, weapon stats shouldnt be outta proportion and they still cost money to upgrade and etc.

So say my Dragon Buster II had 30 stats and 10 enh.

Instead, it just comes with 40 stats, but it still costs extra or less currency (creds OR var)
I just hope the layout of the stats are still set up the same way. If not, I hope this new system works.

I feel like this ( reduced stats ) would cause another problem .

Nexus... -> RE: Stats being reduced (12/16/2012 4:30:18)

1) Stats will be 95% customization, so you won't have to worry about placement
2) My best guess is that this will be like moving back into very early gamma. Agility will not exist, and a what is now 32-39 dexterity might be 27-33, and likewise your damage will not be as high.

Only thing I am concerned about is that skills and mana costs have to be completely readjusted for this to be effective, and that will take a lot of work. Furthermore, less HP will make the effect of luck on a battle a lot more devastating. In the end we are just going to have to wait and see. No doubt there will be things that will need to be tweaked and fixed, but I believe the heart of the update is rooted in a good cause that will improve EpicDuel.

GREAT

taking away stats, and overhauling the stat system IMO isn't necessary if they do the right changes.

Putting my hope onto the announcement of enhancements,

Alot of us will have to get used to the system.

Stats reduced, juggs screwed :/

I hope they offer high stats with weapons to make up for the enhancements ...

Remorse -> RE: Stats being reduced (12/16/2012 8:53:06)

^ Um no the root of many problems is high stats.

Why do people not understand that the devs are gonna lower the jugg level range....

when they see how the stats will change it..

SouL Prisoner -> RE: Stats being reduced (12/16/2012 9:01:25)

^ how is stats the prob, when every one can get same amount of stats, things get balanced, its not like i get more and others get less ..

After omega, every one can choose their stats they want, and that time Jugg, needs to be really strong to win them ..what's the use of choosing ur own stats, when they r not enough ??

P.S : Talking of lowering the range, well, who knows when they r gonna do that??

Ranloth -> RE: Stats being reduced (12/16/2012 9:20:18)

They will as soon as the problem arises, Soul. Rabble said it himself in the other thread that things will be observed very carefully in Juggernaut so they won't fight too strong opponents. If they will be too high level for Juggernaut to take, they will lower the range.

Remorse -> RE: Stats being reduced (12/16/2012 9:26:27)

@ Soul pris

Do I really have to explain this for the 100th time?

sigh.

As stats get higher on average it means damage and defense become over powered for the level.

This means styles like like shielding, strategy, creativity, are left to dust versing either tanks or power builds.

Because Power builds attack so high and frequent you cant afford to use skills that arnt attacks unles your tank, and versing tank you cant deal an decent damage unless you rage :/

Also it effects luck worse because turns become so dependent on damage that a lapse or increase in damage caused by luck has a greater effect on battles.
