Well, I just want to see how it turns put. It might be brought back with a lot of problems.

It is FAR from a new game. They change the item system, but barely even scratch the gameplay.

Its no lie, EpicDuel Omega is a going to be a different player experience entirely! The battle engine has been deleted and rebuilt for Omega

Ahem....*cough, cough*

@Vegafire, below, whatever: mini-modding?

Oba -> RE: Omega: "We will compensate" (12/17/2012 14:53:31)

^They still havent touched the gameplay. Sure, it will change a little as new builds will occur, but other than that? Nothing, I believe. Unless they changed something they havent announced...yet. Aaaaand I wouldnt trust the devs to much when they promise a whole new experience, they have promised other stuff before for about 3 years.. *roll eyes* Hence why people have got so disappointed in most updates. We'll see, but I stay sceptical, thats for sure.

Practel -> RE: Omega: "We will compensate" (12/17/2012 15:06:31)

@Oba

You will be able to customize each of your weapons and builds with skills that actively and passively boost your performance in battle. Passive skills can range from boosts in dexterity, crit chance, block chance, etc... to active skills such as pumpkin rain (being converted to a clickable skill, rather than a luck skill).

Overall, the tactics and game play will change diversely. However, in order to stop total chaos, each weapon is limited to 2 skills (1 active and 1 passive).

Vegafire -> RE: Omega: "We will compensate" (12/17/2012 16:34:29)

@Above

Agreed, although you should remember when aiming your post at a specific person you use @"Username" unless the person you are aiming it at was the last poster before yourself, in wich case you should be using @Above or ^Above .

@Oba All changes are being announced as far as we are aware, People get dissapointed because the updates dont best suit them as a individual, well many players will benifit from this update varium and non varium in many different ways.

ninja.fighter -> RE: Omega: "We will compensate" (12/18/2012 2:31:29)

maybe a complete refund of credits and something for those players who enhanced with var cuz they can't give u var again

Ranloth -> RE: Omega: "We will compensate" (12/18/2012 2:46:53)

What else? Milk and cookies? Full refund won't happen, AE would lost a lot of money on refunding every single player. <.< They aren't even obliged to give you anything back, they choose to so rather than ask for more and more, appreciate the fact you're getting something back.

Xendran -> RE: Omega: "We will compensate" (12/18/2012 4:30:56)

People who use the word "lose" money when talking in regards to varium have no idea what's going on.

You can NOT lose money when virtual currency is involved. They can potentially lower profits, but they physically cannot lose money by giving out varium.
Also, profits would actually increase. If no sort of compensation is given, people who paid for enhancements will stop buying varium.

PR is very very easy to destroy, and ED and AE have already done that multiple times, which is why a lot of gaming communities hold both entities in extremely low esteem.

TRizZzCENTRINO -> RE: Omega: "We will compensate" (12/18/2012 5:47:26)

@above actually losing money is losing profit, since if they have a average monthly income and something goes wrong customers are unhappy they don't pay anymore then they may lose a couple of thousand $ from their average income in that month.

kosmo -> RE: Omega: "We will compensate" (12/18/2012 5:49:42)

People used to spend tons of vars and if possible credits just to buy and fully enchance his weps, with the new sistem i rlly dont think a player will need to buy a 10k var pack so often anymore and this already is a compensation, apart from what their giving us.If the maximum var/creds u can potentially invest to be effective in battle goes down with new sistem, the game is surly going to make lower profits,so that mean they can afford it.

DillBagel -> RE: Omega: "We will compensate" (12/18/2012 21:13:58)

Sure, you lose the hundreds that a couple players would pay over and over again for their weapon to be replaced in a month, but most people are far more likely to make an investment in varium if their investment will hold. In the current system, why waste your time? Anything you buy will be quickly deemed "useless" and a new weapon will be "needed". In this system, you buy whichever weapon suits your fancy, and simply bring it up to the power of another weapon. It is far more effective to simply upgrade your weapon by a single level. You are likely to see a large boost in the lower packages from what I can guess, unless the new features are pricey.

And Xendran is correct, you can't physically lose money by giving out currency that couldn't legitimately buy you dirt. Any compensation, although unnecessary, would help the reputation with players that would complain otherwise. And complaining gives a lot more reputation than commendation.
