Exploding Penguin -> Omega can be released at any moment (12/20/2012 0:49:01)

Now that it is officially almost 50 minutes since it became December 20th in the game's time, we all know that at any moment the announcement for updating to Omega could be released! Please express how you feel about this, whether you be dreading or anticipating with true estatic feelings knowing that Omega can occur right the second that I type this post!

Haha lol, its already 6.50 in the morning here.

But i think it will be around 18.00.
But i hope earlier so i can still play today and not have to wait for tomorrow because if they release 18.00 its already 0.00 here...

hello? time difference people, the devs are asleep or nearly asleep right now, when they said that they are going to release on the 20th they didn't say at what time that they are going to release it, so have patience and it is best if they release it on friday since thats when other AE game release their weekly contents.

a bit excited and worried.

excited because of the new changes that will happen in game.

worried because of my enhancements which i invested a lot of time and effort to acquire using credits. (imagine 6 months of battling just to have credits.-:(

^ doesnt mean other AE games release on friday, ED would release on the same date. Remember trizzy, this is not just an ordinary release. this is the release of Omega phase, the final phase of testing. and on another note, they had already delayed the release which is suppose to be dec. 14. So a delay would again mean not sticking to what they have promised.

This is not a testing phase, and the rest also werent.
Rabblefroth said so himself.

And trizz, i have patience i just hoped for that time, and of course i know about the time difference.

Since they do make some drastic changes to the game mechanics for each new phase (and especially Omega), I think its perfectly reasonable to call them testing phases...

The other AE games had some tweaks to their game mechanics in the beginning, but as soon as their testing phases were over the game worked about the same as they do now...hope that made sense.

^agree to u. alpha, beta, gamma, delta and soon to be omega are all testing phases of ED. meaning, there were changes/improvements made into the game. although dev's stated that ED wasn't really in testing phase for quite some time but these changes simply indicates that ED is still in testing phase.

The Staff are a sleep I think. If they wake up later in the morning, they might want to make sure everything is good and that there are no bugs turning up.

Testers will give the pretty green flag and off we go. The birth of Omega!

Mmm sleep. Well, being 4:05AM in Tampa, i doubt many Devs are actually on as we speak, they have been working very hard indeed to get Omega ready :)

It may be reasonable, but when the the devs say its not, it is not, nothing you can change about it.
Even if it is more reasonable, it still are not testing phases.

Point is, they are constantly testing new ideas during each development phase. Since they are development phases that contain new game mechanics and options, it is perfectly reasonable to call them "testing phases." I don't see a significant enough difference between development and testing.

@above AQW is constantly developing but its testing phase is over, and every game needs some kind of testing for each new mechanics and those are not up to the players to test anymoore but the game testers, so thats why it is not a testing phase.

Devs said themselves ED havent been in a testing phase for a long time now.

Well, they are awake now i think.
So i hope they release around 12.00 so i can still play today.

and yeah the devs are about to wake up any moment now, charfade is a early bird, nightwraith and titan is sorta more like sleepy heads.

How about some relaxing Omega Cheese while you are waiting? You can hear it.

And ya, it is 9:30 AM, staff will be starting work soon. There are 4 times that I know of for an update. 12:00 PM, 3:00 PM, 6:00 PM, 9:00 PM.
