Badges an add on to rating/cheevo's

Badges would still be partly rating, but the badges are like commendations, you have tin, bronze, silver, gold and onyx. Tin = 5 rating, bronze = 20 rating, silver = 50 rating, gold = 75 rating, onyx = 100 rating, each commendation wouldn't stack i.e. emp bronze (20) and then you get silver (50). You wouldn't have 70. You'd have 50.

This system in my opinion would work well, because you can either gain the badges/commendations passively or be determined to obtain them. I also think this would bring some more character and emphases in to the game play because of new awards to be achieved.

You would get badges/ commendations for using a skill a certain amount of times (successfully).

Examples:

- EMP Greande (EMP a ceratin amount of players, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Double Strike (Double Strike a certain amount of players, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Bludgeon (Bludgeon a certain amount of players, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Plasma Rain (Plasma Rain a certain amount of players, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Plasma Bolt (Plasma Bolt a certain amount of players, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Smoke (Smoke a certain amount of players, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Technician (Technician yourself or a team-mate, 1v1, 2v2)

- Defensive Matrix (Defense Matrix yourself or a team-mate, 1v1, 2v2)

- Massacre (Deal a certain amount of damage using Massacre, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Surgical Strike (Deal a Certain amount of dmage using Surgical Strike, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Cheap Shot (Cheap Shot a certain amount of players, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Heal (Heal yourself, or a team-mate a certain number of times, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Bloodlust (regain a certain amount of health)

- Re-route (regain a certain amount of energy)

- Malfunction (Malfunction a certain amount of players, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Blood Commander (Blood Commander yourself or a team-mate a certain number of times, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Intimidate (Intimidate a certain number of players, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Bunker Buster (Bunker Buster a certain amount of players, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Artillery Strike (Artillery Strike a certain amount of players, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Berzerker (Berzerker a certain amount of players, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Maul (Stun a certain amount of players, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Adrenaline (Gain a certain amount of "Rage" using this skill, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Atom Smasher (Atom Smash a certain amount of players, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Energy Shield (Energy Shield youself or a team-mate a certain number of times, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Multi-Shot (Multi-Shot a certain amount of players, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Reflex Boost (Reflex Boost yourself or a team-mate, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Stun grenade (Stun a Certain amount of enemies, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Shadow Arts (Block a certain amount of times, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Venom Strike (Venom strike a certain amount of times/ deal enough damage, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Overload (Stun a certain amount of players, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Assimilation (Assimilate a certain amount of players, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Super Charge (Deal enough damage using Supercharge on other players, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Deadly aim (Deal enough damage using Deadly Aim, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Blood Shield (Blood Shield yourself or a team-mate a certain amount of times, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Field Commander (Field Commander yourself or a team-mate a certain amount of times, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Frenzy (Steal enough health from another player/ use this skill a cerain amount of times, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Toxic Grenade (Deal enough damage to another player/ use this skill a certain amount of times, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Plasma/ Mineral and Hybrid Armour (Receive deflections/ damge taken a certain amount of times or amount, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Static Charge (Re-gain enough energy whilst attacking another player, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Plasma Grenade (Stun a certain amount of players, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Fire ball (Fireball a certain amount of players/ deal enough damage, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)

- Plasma Cannon (Plasma Cannon a certain amount of players/ deal enough damage, 1v1, 2v2, Jugg)


Every skill is labeled above from each class(es). To obtain each badge/commendation, you must successfully do the above. Sorry for such a long list etc.

Things which can be changed:
Some of the requirements needed in order to gain, commendation or badge.
Names of badges/ commendations
Playlists which allow badge/ commendation to be achieved
Amount of "Rating" given per badge/ commendation
Single-Skills, could be grouped together, progressing in less badges/ commendations

If you do not use the skill in a successful manner, you shall not be rewarded with a certain amount of points, due to how many times you used it (if you were not successful) to your badge/ commendation.

You CANNOT gain any of the above using/farming NPC's all of the above must be pursued in PVP matchmaking.

This would be a new idea, which would help the higher ranking tier players with their achievement hunting. It would also bring another twist to the PVP combat.

I don't see why not. Seems like a good improvement.

To counteract any arguments that it's "unfair" because you have to use every class/ability to get the ratings: Rating points do nothing.

Supported. However, it might be necessary to add another page to your character instead of the achievements one.
