A friend and me were talking about something he believes unbalances the game and he told me free unblockable melee specials. So this suggestion is ask you is what do you think about removing the damage from all of these free hits but only leveling the effects of them in tact?

Chairman's Fury is one of them, right? I wouldn't mind that being blockable but would the effect be still applied? If so, I don't mind at all since I'll be getting Platinum's Pride (25) soon and upgrade it in Omega. For sake of looks as well as the skill (and fact it's Hybrid).

Probably gonna be cheaper for you to just buy the 35 version, i can see it costing more than 600 varium for 25 to 35.

The idea is to let these attacks go through, however any controlled attack that is a free hit would do no damage. Such as chairman's fury, and bot specials that aren't deflectable.

I support this because most of those OP people only see it as a free hit. I have almost won quite a few matches and I didn't only for the fact that I didn't have enough money to buy such items and the other guy did.

The effects of these attacks would go through, but the damage wouldn't be. It would be like frostbite and curse. They damage can be blocked but the effect can be applied. however the moves would just apply the effects meaning no rage gain from it with the exception of chairman's fury since it's job is to steal rage.

The same think can be applied with the azreal's borg, pyro fly's, and baby yeti's specials. No damage but the effects still happen. This way they are still useful but don't unfairly turn the tide of the battle due to damage, or a lucky crit.

I plan to upgrade with Credits in Omega so it'll be cheaper in terms of Varium. I have over 50K Credits ready for Omega and counting so I'd rather use that over Varium for now.

Re-reading it again, rage drain but no damage? What if it was just made blockable and still drain rage? If blocked, it'd also drain rage. It's confusing which one you're suggesting since your first post is removing damage but keep effect and reply to me is "damage can be blocked but the effect can be applied". Can you please clarify? If it's the former one (no damage at all, just the effect) then I'd have to say no. But as long as I have chance for damage (blockable) and definite rage drain, I'm all for it. After all, it deals less damage than a Strike for sake of Rage drain so you have choice of Strike or Rage drain (at cost of weaker damage).

My friend when he suggested this to me was talking about letting the effects happen (such as the swarm of the pyro fly removing the move) however the damage dealt while doing (AKA the free unblockable hit) isn't done.

Also Chairman's fury is suppose to steal rage from your opponent, so while the attack itself does no damage and you don't gain rage from the attack, you will still gain the 25% rage you would steal from your opponent. Does that clear things up?

Then I'm for a no. I'd rather let the Fury keep its damage and be blockable rather than lose the damage for sake of effect. Why? It's a weaker Strike with Rage steal, nothing else. If it was blocked then it'd be alternative to Strike but strategical; both blockable, Strike deals more damage and Fury has Rage drain but lower damage. Simple.

Chairman's fury does 100% damage before defense. Strength builds abuse this move to the max, But since it was adverstied as a unblockable move that steal rage it was the reason why I posted it that way. The attack isn't getting blocked since it is still stealing rage, and strength builds won't be using it for it's free unblockable it that does damage. I don't know how many times I have seen this attack used with rage for the hit rather then for the rage steal.

Being locked to Physical can be a disadvantage, makes no difference if you use Physical weapon. Good with Energy since it's another Physical attack. Being locked to a type is effectively a penalty in itself; enemy may have higher Defence than Res so you're forced to Physical whilst your Primary may be Energy that would be a better choice thus damage or Rage steal. Or even if your Primary is Physical, you're getting Rage steal and be put at disadvantage of having to deal lower damage.

i don't want it to get nerfed because i bought on of the Armour just for the special and haven't enhanced it, waiting for for omega so i can use it c(:

Not Supported, not ever.

If you nerf the powerful unblockable specials everyone who paid extra to get them (yes, they are more expensive with the abilities, especially the good ones like platinum's pride) will be angry (myself included) If you want free varium do offers or something until you can get some, don't nerf the people who have it

Another possible alternative is not making these attacks "free"


How about adding energy cost on things like chairman's flurry but keep it unblockable.

I would still be happy with it if it cost 10-20 energy.



Plus this is probably a good idea to consider when future weapon/armour/robot activatables are created.


Some should be given an energy cost.

I have already suggested this and as stated its a incentive to buy varium there are still other armours and builds that cane comback PP but it essential for classes like bloodmage ect to beat BH with maxed shadow arts ect, they block to much and the only way to comeback this is sidearm, aux and yes PP anything besides these and anyone who uses the skills in their class is likely to be blocked most of the time.

Instead PP was given a nurf so it only does base damage not the 125% it was doing + the 25% rage steal, they cannot lower the damage anymore as its not a multiple attack but they could possibly lower the rage steal to 15-20%.

As for removing them N/S

Well, its kinda tricky.
On one side i can support but for some situations i cannot support.

I mean, str builds only use it as a unblockable move and dont care about the ragee steal.
While others use it for the rage steal only.
For that reason i do support.
Str builds have a to big advantage with this armor special.
But, only if the rage steal will alwaya be applied even if it gets blocked.

@everyone who thinks PP special should be nerfed no.
you see Most of the armors in the game are 995 varium but this Armour, is nearly 2k variums. people bought this Armour with the extra 1k varium to use the special.
so i unsupported this.
