yeah I would much rather at the least 50% of my costs refunded .. at most 100% but i doubt that even though it is a better compensation etc etc.

SouL Prisoner -> RE: Design Notes (1/10/2013 12:45:49)

@ drain

Trust me, you will feel much luckier even if they compensated with less varium, coz it's definitely better than some hope less cheevo or an item ...

Of course. Unless the amount of varium would be too low to matter...

SouL Prisoner -> RE: Design Notes (1/10/2013 12:55:05)

300-500 varium per weapon can be petty much manageable ...

Drianx -> RE: Design Notes (1/10/2013 13:02:15)

300-500 it's too low.
Remember 10 slots is 1700 varium.
I do not think of it being less than 65% the initial amount spent, for every item that was enhanced.

SouL Prisoner -> RE: Design Notes (1/10/2013 13:11:27)

Seriously??? Don't push your luck ... V players normally enhance for around 600-900 varium and rest is credit, so for 900 varium, 450 varium is perfect ...

ReinXI -> RE: Design Notes (1/10/2013 13:12:34)

1700 for a 10 enhancement weapons but you normally spend roughly 1250 or so if you use credits so a good number would be 600 ...

kosmo -> RE: Design Notes (1/10/2013 13:26:09)

im tired of explaining u why a varium refound makes no sence.... I will just wait 4 omega and when we gonna get no varium or credit refound, im gonna laught alot looking u guys cryng.

Drianx -> RE: Design Notes (1/10/2013 13:31:02)

Most of my stuff are fully enhanced with varium, so do not suggest me about what refund I should be comfortable with.

This is one of the reasons epicduel has progressed so slowly - because there were always people who played satisfied with what they got, and were extremely clumsy and hesitant when expressing their wishes and demands - if they ever did.

In other words, if you are satisfied with 450 for 1700 spent, fine.

I am not.

@kosmo - you're so stupid that if both you and another two friends got robbed, you'd laugh because the other two got robbed.

ReinXI -> RE: Design Notes (1/10/2013 13:39:07)

I personally feel 100% refund is only fair for the simple fact there taking out a feature we payed $$$ into. Is it right if we only get 50% of what was spent back while the other 50% dissappears into the nothing-o-sphere? no no it's not right but in all honesty thinking they will actually do a 100% refund is sort of an in the clouds thought despite it being right

Dimentic -> RE: Design Notes (1/10/2013 13:45:42)

I still think the devs will make our enhancements worth something in Omega. Hardly doubt there will be a varium compensation and imo such one wouldn't be fair for everyone.

Xendran -> RE: Design Notes (1/10/2013 13:49:22)

The compensation won't be varium.

Part of it is.

Also, anybody who thinks that they would have to manually compensate: LOL. Scripts and game mechanics are invented for a reason. They could either just automatically converts all enhancements above a certain number (that part is important. The enhancements below that number will be handled differently) into varium based on how high the number is, or they can simply put a game mechanic in that has the players go to an NPC and have their inventory scanned for enhancements, and then refunded based on them, similar to rarity.

SouL Prisoner -> RE: Design Notes (1/10/2013 14:00:19)

@dim

What you mean by not fair to everyone ??? V r not talking about only compensating ourselves, everyone who enhanced will get it .. and if you did not enhance, u get no compensation ...so need of showing ur jealousy by saying its not fair to others ...

Drianx -> RE: Design Notes (1/10/2013 14:04:57)

@Xen

I am not sure, but I believe there are laws which protect people from being robbed off their purchased virtual currency, so AE needs to have proof of all varium spent by every player, down to the smallest amount. Enhancements included.

Xendran -> RE: Design Notes (1/10/2013 14:08:12)

@Drianx: There is proof of all varium bought and awarded, but it's not actually mandatory to record what it was used to purchase.
However, the devs DO record everything you purchase, including enhancements.

For anybody still doing this ridiculous refund discussion:

There IS a refund, part of it IS in game currency, 99% certain that said currency is varium.

ReinXI -> RE: Design Notes (1/10/2013 14:50:30)

@ drian I don't have the quote as of this moment ( wheres trans and his quoting self when you need him! ) but the quote was along the lines of them saying they know WHO bought enhancements for WHAT items and how many of those were with VARIUM and CREDITS so yes the know they know everything! *maniacal laughter* anyways.. yeah they know who bought what and how much was in what currency.

SouL Prisoner -> RE: Design Notes (1/10/2013 14:55:15)

I doubt if they have the exact info ...

He Who Lurks -> RE: Design Notes (1/10/2013 15:13:28)

I believe a staff member has confirmed that they'll be multiple forms of compensation. For all we know, they might be a varium and credit compensation for enhancements[:D]!

beastmo -> RE: Design Notes (1/10/2013 16:25:06)

Full compensation is the way to bring back old players.

Xendran -> RE: Design Notes (1/10/2013 16:33:38)
