What are your favourite art forms? Why?

Personally I like graffiti style art. I think it is a cool way to express yourself. Another favourite of mine are 3D renderings of objects. They look cool, and who doesn't like 3D?

I agree with the graffiti style. I wbt to know how to make that kind of style but always find it hard. Maybe I just lack of Imaginations since this style needs free imaginative mind. This style is widespread here in my place. Every free wall has a graffiti art made by the local gangsters. Made me kind of jealous since I strive to be great in graffiti making and gangsters just beat me and threw me of the wall xD.

Well I like 3D :D but I prefer 2D since I grew up watching 2D cartoons. So I guess I'm just used to watching 2D's xD.

Well the form of art I like the most is Visual arts. Specially drawing since it is the very easiest way for me to express what's on my mind, my mood and feelings for the day. It's kinda easy to depict what you're thinking of using this kind of art. No stress, No exertion of too much energy. Also a way to relax. And also a hard to do skill for others.

Sometimes I do some Performing Arts like Dancing and singing. I was once a member of a local hip-hop dance group in my city. Well it is a cool art too since you get to feel the grove and be a mister cool. Every week we guest at different contests to spread our crew name. Such a nice felling! I also do some singing and makes some amateur videos of me Singing xD.

Anything hand-drawn really.
Not to say Digital Art is bad or anything but it doesn't have that same charm for me that something in pencil, pen, or painted has.
I just find the fact that something like this was done entirely by hand to be very impressive.

@Glais

Woahh! Was shocked to see that that is a hand drawn work. It has the digital art quality! Hand sketching is Magnificent, Indeed. The only downside is sometimes it took too much precious time. Specially with colored works like that one. I'm pretty sure it took 3-4 days (5 hours per day) to finish that piece where in Digital you can finish it in a day since coloring is now automatic. Not that I'm downing my favorite art style, It is just a fact that digital painting or sketching is more efficient than traditional sketching and painting.

Yeah it is a bit time consuming.
You can't just fill certain colors, undo mistakes, etc.
But in a way that makes it more worth in the end, at least in my opinion.

Oh and the artist who did that is Hirohiko Araki, he draws one of my favorite Manga but does a lot of paintings of the characters as well.

Another good example from Vagabond by Takehiko Inoue.
He's also incredibly skilled with paints.

I have to say impressionism is one of my favorite forms of art. The style usually depicts rather humble subjects and highlights their unseen beauty. Impressionism expresses a lot of movement as it shows depictions, as close to the way they were when the artist first touched his or her pallet while observing them. Years before impressionism most artwork was done in a studio where many models were use and pieces were basically put together over periods of time till larger pictures were formed from the artists mind (in cases where modals were used that is) however impressionism really birthed the traveling artists you’d imagine finding in a field or by the side of a road. Being "in the moment" really captured a different sort of spirit as artists could create works fast enough to make pictures of true events as they occurred while they were still beautiful depictions. One might say it was the next step towards competing with photography, yet not only that but it was one of the first forms of art an artist began create a true link between what they felt and a viewers emotions as the artist controlled aspects of the images such as color and contrast that gave impressionistic artwork they’re true essence.

Thos pieces of artwork look absolutely amazing. It reminds me of artists who can do photorealistic work.

I am not a big fan of graffiti. I do love sketches though. Well, good sketches anyway.
