Lycan. -> RE: =ED= Weekend Progress Report - January 26, 2013 (1/26/2013 21:39:30)

implementing the basic cores will NOT take 2-5 days, but a matter of hours.

Giras Wolfe -> RE: =ED= Weekend Progress Report - January 26, 2013 (1/26/2013 22:17:17)

Caser5, I think what midnight soul means is 10k if they can be unlocked and then used unlimitedly.

xGreen Warriorx -> RE: =ED= Weekend Progress Report - January 26, 2013 (1/26/2013 23:24:41)

@ everyone speculating about release date
We've been told Omega is joining to be feature locked Sunday (tomorrow in the devs time zone), and then testing will probably be 2-5 days... I'm going February 1st or 2nd. It looks all/most of the hard stuff is done, so it shouldn't be too long now. :)

I hope that some of the basic cores that will be released with Omega are taken from the core suggestion thread, there's a lot of good ideas there.

SouL Prisoner -> RE: =ED= Weekend Progress Report - January 26, 2013 (1/26/2013 23:33:46)

^That's not Jan, like they said it would be -.-

Dreiko Shadrack -> RE: =ED= Weekend Progress Report - January 26, 2013 (1/26/2013 23:35:41)

I say they'll release on thursday, fashionably close to the limit. [8D]

UnderSoul -> RE: =ED= Weekend Progress Report - January 26, 2013 (1/26/2013 23:42:40)

Almost there. Just keep going!

f4tal1tY -> RE: =ED= Weekend Progress Report - January 26, 2013 (1/27/2013 0:20:13)

Yay! This is great news for me :D more time to grind some credits! I don't care when you guys release, please just give us a solid release date that you are sure you can release Omega on!

and 50+ new missions? SWEEEEEET!

Midnightsoul -> RE: =ED= Weekend Progress Report - January 26, 2013 (1/27/2013 0:32:53)

I guess I won't play for now...

but on the meantime...DRAGONFABLE :DDD

I'm looking forward to the Omega release and it's true, they mostly finished the hard feautures. It's not that hard to balance classes because all you have to do is change a slight function/equation of how a existing move works and you're done. If it releases on February, ok, fine, not my problem, but the ones who are complaining need to stop and find something else to do. -.-

ND Mallet -> RE: =ED= Weekend Progress Report - January 26, 2013 (1/27/2013 1:36:08)

@lord They do have to get the other features finished before they can start on testing the full release. It's no good testing parts of it because when they're all put together they could break when alone they may work fine.

kaiseryeux21 -> RE: =ED= Weekend Progress Report - January 26, 2013 (1/27/2013 1:42:47)

im confident the release will be next week. doesn't matter if its end of january of feb. 1 or 2. Good job devs.

P.S., the new missions is what makes me excited.

sky222 -> RE: =ED= Weekend Progress Report - January 26, 2013 (1/27/2013 1:46:05)

50+ missions made my day

Blitzex/Sr. Zeph -> RE: =ED= Weekend Progress Report - January 26, 2013 (1/27/2013 3:30:22)

Someone needs to edit the page.

Basic core already is 35% now

SS -> RE: =ED= Weekend Progress Report - January 26, 2013 (1/27/2013 4:35:24)

You should have not wasted time with visual enhancements, those can be done after all other work is done and the game is in either the testing phase, or even as an update later. This way you could have avoided postponing it for February (and hopefully not March), after you already postponed it from last year.
You need a manager there, to set up some priorities and raise the efficiency of your work. Not saying you're doing a bad job, just an inefficient one.

Angels Holocaust -> RE: =ED= Weekend Progress Report - January 26, 2013 (1/27/2013 4:42:34)

The devs should take as much time as possible to perfect this update. Lord knows they need Omega to make the comeback of a century.

Lycus -> RE: =ED= Weekend Progress Report - January 26, 2013 (1/27/2013 5:59:17)

Just to clear a few things up - several weeks stands for the past X amount of weeks everything has been implemented into the game so the changes are seen in the game, rather than just in separate files.

Testing wise, we have been testing as we have been going a long, every feature implemented to this point has been tested, so do not be too down heartened by the fact it says 0%. That 0% is standing for final testing, which will conduct when EVERYTHING has been done and implemented, this way any bugs that make it through basic testing will hopefully be caught during the full blown testing period. The full-blown testing period will likely last about a week as in (4-5 days), however no exact time period can be given since it is all dependent on what issues arise and how long each takes to fix. So we have been testing, just with big releases like this, we like to put it through some full-blown testing before we put it live, this way we can ensure the best possible release for the patience everyone has given!

comicalbike -> RE: =ED= Weekend Progress Report - January 26, 2013 (1/27/2013 6:04:51)

does the full blown testing start today if it does Friday release may be possable

SouL Prisoner -> RE: =ED= Weekend Progress Report - January 26, 2013 (1/27/2013 6:10:19)

Hmmm..

Well, there's no doubt Omega will go live in Feb, 110% sure about it now ...

Blitzex/Sr. Zeph -> RE: =ED= Weekend Progress Report - January 26, 2013 (1/27/2013 6:20:46)

Probably.
It would be a miracle if they can keep there word for once -.-

Deiselman -> RE: =ED= Weekend Progress Report - January 26, 2013 (1/27/2013 6:55:11)

You should understand that the Artists don't work in programming, and Programmers don't take care of the game art.
Making new visuals and art for the game does not consume time from the work Programmers have to do. They are separate tasks, done by different people.

A MANAGER?! A manager for EpicDuel would poop on it. I can only imagine some guy sitting on his arse all day screaming at Titan and friends and getting paid. I would personally travel to Florida with my wooden spoon in hand to give the "manager" in the EpicDuel department some medicine if you know what I mean.

Now if you meant PROJECT MANAGER I can forgive you for that slip because that is a completely different case. A project manager has actual experience with computers and game development so he/she could be involved in development work when needed.

But you know who that is, right? Titan is practically a project manager. Actually, I think he is.

SouL Prisoner -> RE: =ED= Weekend Progress Report - January 26, 2013 (1/27/2013 10:11:13)

^ I would say more like advicer manager, guiding them for that best of ED and Players..

Doing survey's to find out many things that could help ED for better development/future ..
