i hope that unlike gamma and delta enhancements the level you are reflects the price of fitting a skill core to your weapons.

It should be far cheaper to skill core a weapon at level 1 for instance then it is at level 35 same with improving the damage resistance and stats should be cheaper the lower you are.

To me that was a fatal flaw with enhancements it cost the same to enhance a weapon regardless of your level and a level one weapon enhanced is not worth the same price of a level 35 weapon enhanced.

Im aware you can upgrade your weapons in omega but if u want to have skill cores at level one and such your probably not going to be able to afford it if its a universal price like enhancements. and you should have the option to be the strongest you can be regardless of your level.

Remorse -> RE: core prices at various levels (1/31/2013 13:43:38)

Personally I thought it was a good thing that enhancements were basically exclusive to higher levels.

And I also think its fine if skill cores are exclusive.

It means you will have something to look forward to if your a non varium and it means you get you moneys worth if your a varium user.

Out of topic: Update 10 hours and 12 minutes

In topic: I don't think it should be cheaper for level ones. Every price should be equal to everyone!

@above what do you mean update 10 hours?

the final hour -> RE: core prices at various levels (1/31/2013 13:56:38)

^ i just think that in order to make it an affordable option for a level one it would have to be cheaper .

and to keep it the same price for a 35 would be too cheap for a 35. look at it this way if a new player joins whos casual may take them a awful long time to hit the top end of the game and if the cores are unatainable at the lower levels they may loose interest.

just my thoughts on it . not to mention if they aint able to test the effective cores and none effective cores lower their going to run into cores on the more experienced players who are much more experiended with which cores are more effective. its going to be a steep learning curve for the newer players against the more experienced level capped players and may lead them to being extremely upset after theyve wasted their creds/varium on cores that arent as effective as others.

off topic if you mean its updating today it wont be almost guarenteed

But this means there still ISN'T balance - lower levels can purchase cores and dominate other people - this will lead to more people quitting ED rather than joining.

Ranloth -> RE: core prices at various levels (1/31/2013 14:19:23)

Basically.. scaled cores per level (power and cost)? I wouldn't be surprised if that's not the case already but if not, sure.

Mother1 -> RE: core prices at various levels (1/31/2013 14:22:28)

If it were like this then lower level would become OP especially with the unlimited NPC farming for credits. they can get to level 5, and just grind for credits and get everything dirt cheap and become low level bullies. It would become do this or die if you are a lower level.

@Mother 1

I agree exactly with this point. The balance has just become even worse (for lower levels). I reckon they should give every person who starts an account a "Starter Core" so this could help them on their journey to succession - e.g. Myself xD

Drianx -> RE: core prices at various levels (2/1/2013 2:43:52)

No, cores should have the same price regardless of level.

Simply because I would get angry to pay 1k varium for a core at lv35 and see a lv10 getting the same core for 100 varium.
