King FrostLich -> Unmentioned Features? (2/10/2013 14:04:48)

I noticed some things weren't listed in the DN's so here's what I found out with this update after playing through it:

1.) Bounty Hunters/Cyber Hunters 1-hit strike animation has been removed therefore 2-strikes animation is the only thing they do when striking.
2.) Critical Hits seem to be ignoring 60% defenses.
3.) Rage Critical Hits are ignoring 100% of your defenses.(Rage ignores 45%, Critical Hits ignore 60%)
4.) Word bubbles such as "CRITICAL", "BLOCK" "13 DAMAGE" seem to have been moved slightly away from your character(if your character is on the left side of the screen, the words are slightly moved to the left)
5.) Artillery Strike's damage shown is now divided by 2 of the total damage(if you do 41 damage, instead of seeing 16,25 damage, you'll see 20,21 damage)
6.) Infernal Android and Yetis' "strike" options have a different damage shown when hitting an opponent.(if you do 24 damage, instead of seeing 12,12 damage, you will see 9,15)
7.) Whenever you use rage malfunction or rage smokescreen when the attack gets blocked, there is a chance that the first hit of your weapon seems to show the animation instead of the second one.
8.) Infernal Android's special ability lowered to 3 cooldown.
9.) Yetis' special ability lasts 3 turns from 2.
10.) Grenades, Plasma Bolt and Dark Yeti's special ability have an exploding animation when hitting your opponent.
11.) Broken weapons no longer drop.
12.) Rusted Assault Bot has been removed, replaced by Assault Bot.
13.) Emeralds no longer drop from Brachylagus.
14.) Defeating lower level NPC's gives lesser credits.
15.) Some boss NPC's were buffed to level 35 with increased defenses. The only non-boss NPC to gain a buff was Heavy Mechachillid(level 35) with 160 hp instead of 125 hp.

That's all I can find so far.

6) Is sorta wrong. I think it's yetis only.

Ranloth -> RE: Unmentioned Features? (2/10/2013 14:13:58)

#3 shouldn't even happen. These effects never stacked, they were calculated separately (so 60% * x = y & then you do y * 45% = whatever the number is).

Wrong http://i46.tinypic.com/10ygw0n.jpg

Trans, I haven't tried anyone with exactly 0 defense/resistance but I have encountered in 2v2 a player dealing 70 critical on someone with only 4-5 resistance with a base damage of 53-56 energy damage.

Actually Mage's can do a two strike rage malf. I did it before the patch but as for after I haven't been in a position to tell yet.

(Well it's more like a kick then strike but you know what I mean)

King FrostLich -> RE: Unmentioned Features? (2/10/2013 15:01:16)

My bad, I forgot mages can equip swords too therefore giving them 2 hits in rage strike. I was only thinking about using staffs for them.

Calogero -> RE: Unmentioned Features? (2/10/2013 15:06:59)

No more credits in Varium pack... seems like a pretty big decision to remove yet not mentioned

Mother1 -> RE: Unmentioned Features? (2/10/2013 16:00:37)

@ king frost

#9 is only for the aux. It shut's them away for the equal of their cooldowns.

Blitzex/Sr. Zeph -> RE: Unmentioned Features? (2/10/2013 21:10:51)

Dont forget our boosters!

I WANT MY BOOSTERS BACK.

DeathiZClarity -> RE: Unmentioned Features? (2/10/2013 21:25:45)

Blitzex, boosters are temperarely disabled, they will be brought back to the game at some other time....I think. I remember reading it somewhere.

Ah this makes seance,

I thought I made a counting error against an infernal android opponent, thinking I still had a turn before they could us it again so I didn't heal.
Then died as they used the overpowered bot in my face.

Thanks for not mentioning that devs e.e

P.S give that dam thing back its higher cool down and add a special damage reset function.
It honestly makes any focus builds far too overpowered.

Mother1 -> RE: Unmentioned Features? (2/11/2013 4:31:13)

@ remorse

lol your planning just blew up in your face due to this unknown factor. Looks like this person had a hidden ace in the hole :P

But on another note a reset won't stop this bot from being OP a smart person will just wait until the last minute to use it's special on you and boom reset effect is null and void.

Hard boy -> RE: Unmentioned Features? (2/11/2013 4:36:09)

@mother Yeah i actually use it with my 4 focus supp tm,

i wait for like the 9th or 10th turn then either rage that or use it to lower opponents health and finish up with rage.

Remorse -> RE: Unmentioned Features? (2/11/2013 4:36:32)

@ Mother
Yep , And I can tell you I didn't like the fact I didn't know it was coming.

Made me feel dum and unprepared, Probably the same feeling I will have for as long as Skill cores and robots are hidden.

But ah, lets not start up that conversation again... We know its just an arguing stalemate.

As for the infernal android , Unfortunately your right, I am literally just in support of the maximum amount of nerfing the devs are willing to nerf that bot,

Having a reset function to me seems like something the devs may actually consider though obviously I'm hoping for a much better nerf.

the final hour -> RE: Unmentioned Features? (2/11/2013 4:42:12)

yeah focus rlly isnt a problem but by all means play them without luck on yhou part the real OP builds will just farm you (strngh bhes ches mercs ) support mages . yeah good luck with your focus build

if your on anything but a strengh build or a support mage support tlms arent too bad but need luck to beat i high hp strengh abuser or high hp support abuse mage you need hardcore luck to win.

and if your on formentioned strengh build or support mage if your facing another support mage or strengh build all you need is the first turn too win . anything else they need hardcore luck to have any hope .

gj not telling nyone about all this i suppose i wodnt either.

ED is now a dress up game requiring no skill at all just luck and most importantly in most cases the first turn .

way to wave bye bye to all the adults ,

thanks for omega truely thank you

Remorse -> RE: Unmentioned Features? (2/11/2013 4:45:48)

^ Im a focus build, and I dont need luck to beat them at all.

It is a lot easier if I start I admit, however I have higher support so that usually isn't much of a problem.

Just wait, the STR based builds will be nerfed.

As for support mages.

Energy shield completely destroys them.

I hardly ever lose to them despite them starting.

Give ED a chance to recover some of the balance disasters before you shoot it down too hard.

Versing NON STR builds in omega is actually the first fun I have had since early gamma.
It has amazing potential.

the final hour -> RE: Unmentioned Features? (2/11/2013 4:50:52)

my strengh merc i gave in . double strike chairmans rage zerker 60 + damage ussually far more no matter what a focus build does unless theyve blocked me twice ive almost always killed them b4 theyve got me blow 2/3rds hp .

the only time that build tends to loose in my experience is against other strengh builds when they get the first turn . or support mages when they get the first turn . if i get the first turn the support mage is one of the easiest to kill on strengh abuse . but their more likely to get the first or you would of thought so but even the luck factor is screwed their . ive got the first turn quite a few times with 20 support when theyve had over 100 support .

to problem is now with the increase to health and energy you can get decent dex (25-30+5+6 in my case)
not bad tech (18-22+5+5)
insane strengh (24-29)max out beserker and take double to 3 have field medic up too or and intimidate and decide which is more useful depending on the fight intimidate field medic or duel strike + beserk.

still have oiver 100 hp and obliterate just about nything but another strengh abuse build before they can kill you or even get close gennerally.

id laugh at omega . but it just isnt funny its an awful awful mistake

Remorse -> RE: Unmentioned Features? (2/11/2013 4:57:54)

Here is my strategy,

First turn intimidate,

They double or maul or whatever,

I use frostbite stopping their berserk, plus still dealing decent damage on their low defense.

Now this is were my strategy separates into 2 types.

If they have lower HP but stronger attacks, I heal , platinum/robot, robot/platinum, rage intimidate again, then kill them with my aux.
Blood lust combined with intimidate means I recover HP and deal out more then they can dish out.

Now if they have higher HP,

I wont need to heal by turn 3 so instead I platinum, rage robot, then lvl 8 super charge to kill.

both ways require me to start however which is slightly annoying, but at least I can beat them without luck.

Mother1 -> RE: Unmentioned Features? (2/11/2013 5:03:38)

@ remorse

Actually relying on the first turn believe it or not is luck since it going first is all up to chance. So while you do use planning which we all do, a little luck (in this case going first) does help you. Plus not everyone has the frostbite weapons sadly.

the final hour -> RE: Unmentioned Features? (2/11/2013 5:08:27)

all i have to do is rage beserker since ur frostbite wodnt stop me if i had rage before hand id rage somet else then zerker as soon as intimidate knocks off and im going to hit around 70 and your going to be below that by the time intimidate drops . ands i assure you i wouldnt be ded , i know this from experience often people intimidate me to no success. the only thing that destroys strengh abuse in a fight is blocks. but since its quite easy to get high hp relatively high defence . and extreme strengh it negates the bloxk risk abit . altho the luck factor does seem kinda high since omega

as i mentioned before

to problem is now with the increase to health and energy you can get decent dex (25-30+5+6 in my case)
not bad tech (18-22+5+5)
insane strengh (24-29)max out beserker and take double to 3 have field medic up too or and intimidate and decide which is more useful depending on the fight intimidate field medic or duel strike + beserk.

still have oiver 100 hp and obliterate just about nything but another strengh abuse build before they can kill you or even get close gennerally.

their not what id call low defences your offence is extreme . you have high hp . the only place you lack is support which does weaken your first turn chance but the way luck is now not neccersarilly. strengh is raw power. support is luck and if you get the first turn against as suppoty mage their insta dead. and thats the onloy support build around in large numbers

Remorse -> RE: Unmentioned Features? (2/11/2013 5:23:25)

^ Verse me.

Let me start, No luck involved lets see.

the final hour -> RE: Unmentioned Features? (2/11/2013 5:26:12)

where are you ?

Blitzex/Sr. Zeph -> RE: Unmentioned Features? (2/11/2013 5:56:53)

Deathclarity

Ik its temporarily, but the OP was talking about unmentioned features.
Well this freature has been unmentionadly disabled.

I dont care if its temporarily
I WAN MY BOOSTERS

Mercs can do whatever they want, we can now only heal once (twice with generator).
So that is already a reason why the str builds currently dominate.
If we can heal more, they need to hit more.
And since they got low dex or tech, we have more turns to block/deflect them.
So yeah, this is also a reason why the spammers dominate!

Smackie El Frog -> RE: Unmentioned Features? (2/11/2013 9:35:41)

Just noticed that they revamped the buy varium page again! Why did they go and do that when they JUST did that that couple months ago? They made such a big deal about this new key option method and then toss it out the first chance they get? Also, I see they scrapped all those battle gear packages that were aimed at lower level players. Also, buying all those head styles was an option, Oh and lastly all those credit options you had with the keys, they took those away as well.

comicalbike -> RE: Unmentioned Features? (2/11/2013 10:17:57)

they still want the money but you get nothing in return Smackie El Frog
