Yes. Headless is the best Fire ingame.
As for characters to train, these are the best:

Neutral: Pumpkinlord
Fire: Headless Horseman
Ice: Jack Frost (offensive)/Xmas Fiend (defensive)
Energy: Lei Crossbows/Lei Blades
Earth: Taurus
Water: Alexis
Light: Founder Champion (offensive)/Father Time (defensive)
Shadow: Black Dragon

It's up to you, but we had a discussion of suggested characters (based on their decks) last thread.

SG Best/Non-SG Best:
Neutral: Pumpkinlord -- Augustiner/Pikeman General
Fire: Headless Horseman -- Pyre Witch Master
Ice: Jack Frost -- Cosoma/Xmas Fiend
Lightning: Bill Assassin/Storm Knight (Note: SK does not have Unblockables) -- Lightning Wolf Master
Earth: Taurus -- Minotaur
Water: Katana Zon -- Revonthurkey (seriously that's it. Not recommending AP because his deck is too big to be competitive, and you may want to evolve him later when that comes out)
Light: Father Time -- Founder Champion/Paladin Master
Shadow: Black Dragon/Revontheus Vet/Darkon Drago/Void Reaper -- Vampire Lord/Rev Egg (...almost forgot to recommend this little guy!)

Thanks you guys. Headless is lvl 11 and is (Sadly) my highest lvl character. Next is Pumkinlord and Founder vet at 8...

Ah, good point! I probably should have not included him at all, since if you had him, you'd probably want to level him :)

Abberant (final form) is a solid Shadow character, and is just behind Vampire Lord in terms of power. Plus it's a seasonal rare, and I don't see many people playing him. If you have the 6 Soul Gems to spare, go ahead and use him.

He's relatively rare (may take a day or two to find) and had a very offensive Ice deck. You decide if he's worth your time.
