Hello everyone,

I started this topic in order to get some help and also to start a discussion of sorts. Although, I fear that after reading through the contents of this thread, the participants will narrow down drastically.

Hoping that does not happen, let me begin.

As the Title might already have suggested to enthusiasts and avid readers alike, this thread is about Manga.

Those already into this business might very well know that the work that goes into creating a good manga series is tremendous. The mangaka usually works with a number of other people in order to bring together the idea on paper. Additionally, they have a deadline to beat too. So it's really hardwork and all so that we can read and be entertained.

However, the topic of this thread is not the sketching work that creating a manga involves, it's what comes before all the Sketching.

I wish to know from the authors, how is it that one can effectively put an idea down on paper, and then transform it into a Panel-by-Panel Script so as to effectively draw it out in the end?

What methods do you use when writing down a script for a manga(or comic strip)?

How do you organize them to better tell the story? How do you make your ideas tangible through these methods?

I personally have no idea how to write a script for a manga/comic/graphic novel etc.

I just pick up a pencil and jump straight to the drawing part.

Madam Eukara, feel free to change the tags should you feel that I have misnamed it.

Please discuss.
