Exploding Penguin -> 2 new bots (5/19/2013 15:06:36)

Two new bot suggestions:

Bot 1 (didn't bother thinking of names):
-+13 damage
-Normal bot attack does no damage and removes energy equal to damage that normally would have been dealt. This skill is deflectable. This means that if this attack is deflected or used against a tanky opponent, it'll take away less energy than when used on a glass cannon.
-Special bot attack can be used infinitely and will return energy to the user based off of how much energy was removed on the last normal bot attack.
-Normal bot attack CAN be raged for higher energy removal.

Bot 2:
-+15 damage
-Bot special is not reusable and will heal 5 HP and energy while removing poison effects, including frost and azrael's will, and possibly any future similar status effects that aren't debuffs. You can also get your ally out of a stun if you're playing in 2v2 or jugg with this bot special.
-Bot normal attack will deal normal bot damage and transfer whatever effects you previously cured to the opponent. This means that if you cure a stun on your ally in 2v2, then use your bot's normal attack, the opponent will be stunned unless they block. The opponent will be poisoned/frosted either way even if they block the attack.

I made these 2 suggestions with the idea of my focus build fix that I posted in the balance section recently. That topic basically states that bot cooldowns for their special and normal attacks are independent. These bots could possibly work without that fix in mind.

Bot 1: BOTH its attacks should be 1 use only. Otherwise you could use this bot with a tank build and infinitely steal your opponents energy and give it to yourself.

Bot 2: I like the idea. Maybe it could remove Azrael's Will as well as stuns?

Bot 1: Well, it takes an entire turn to use it. I'll nerf it to +13 instead of +17 damage, and that should balance it out. The fact that it has a 3-turn cooldown and takes the place of a focus build's bot is already a pretty significant setback, so I don't think more needs to be done.

Bot 2: Good idea, it should remove azrael's will as well. However, I already stated that it removed stuns in 2v2.

why not? I am dieing to see some more cores instead of POINTLESS dressup items (over 1k as far as i know)

bot 2 :how can u possibly remove azreal's will by a bot ? that doesn't make sense .
plus a bot cannot be a anti-robot ( this one will be an anti-botanical hazard ).
and what normal attack is that ? way too much , and if it is reusable it will be way too OP .
bot 1 : what more stuff do u guys need for energy stealing ? 2 cores for primary , 1 for guns , all those skills and now a robot for that ? i don't see the point in it .
and for the special : it is kinda lame :P maybe u can add something to it .

@Dark: Energy is the primary way of dealing damage since all other ways of dealing damage got nerfed. EP removal is an essential to tactical play and overall win rates now. This is also why I made the special return energy based off of how much you stole, because energy, like I just stated, plays a humongous factor in both your offensive and defensive capabilities. Healing is very important because there are lots of poison effects now and the only way to cure them is with field medic. You can remove azrael's will by bot in 2v2 if your ally was hit by it. This also applies for stuns. +15 damage is definitely not way too much, fully upgraded yetis are +18 damage. I failed to elaborate, but you can only transfer the effect when using the normal bot attack once because you can only cure an effect with the bot once per fight. The normal attack is reusable for damage, but it will only transfer the previously cured effect the first time.

First of all, why can a bot not be an anti-bot? From a certain perspective, azrael's borg and assault bots are much like opposites of each other. This is especially true if I place a defensive buff on myself after being debuffed, the opponent uses azrael's borg, and then I use assault bot afterwards (which normally isn't worth it because the debuff only has 2 turns left). Secondly, it wouldn't be an anti to botanical hazard because there's also venom strike and toxic grenade, which is definitely becoming more popular now.
