It's a decision that was fair to the community, but it took away the fun of a boss battle I realized when I battled nerfed Arch Lich. My boss battles are fair to a point and are towards the multiple characters in battle system with the elemental weaknesses involved.

So long as they aren't as OP as the old bosses, I would be all for harder bosses with higher rewards.

@Combat: See the thing is with the enhanced rewards you speak of is pretty much dull because of Xboosts. I still have 10 as of now and if I want more rewards, I would rather buy more boosts and get these rewards from all the characters rather than just the hard to kill bosses. And if I ever do get 20 boosts, exp and gold would not even be an issue anymore so the enhanced rewards would be pointless. I would much rather opt for some artifact drops or something interesting like that.

But Wouldnt It Feel Worthwhile To Fight A Boss With The Same Power As FoV WB And Storm Knight Before The Nerf And Receive An Upwards Of 500 Xp And 750-1000 Gold Per Victory WITHOUGHT Xp Boosts? That Would Be Awesome. The Boss Could Be 1-5 Levels Higher Than You Depending On What You Choose. (Similar To Different Boss Battle Options Like DF) And The Rewards Could Be Scaled Accordingly.

I am with tough bosses so long as it not OP like the last time which nearly drove most of us in enraged. Nerf Arch Lich Boss still live the name of being a tough bosses due to having all the Boss Cards including Corruption, 5-hit combo card, 1200 damage card, 800 damage card, 500 pierce damage card and 500 damage card. He could managed to use corruption followed by 1200 damage and 5-hit combo at the same round despite it cost too much energy to use it! Arch Lich Boss is a hacker but I pretty much will want other future bosses to be equal level as Arch Lich Boss. Storm Knight is still consider another strong boss due to having most of the Boss cards except corruption. FoV is just the most easiest boss to take down while WB is neutral. I can expect to see Nulgath being more harder to encounter and slightly tougher than Arch Lich with a new boss card.

Admittedly, this game isn't going anywhere. We keep getting characters to train every release and only recently are we starting to get CC with new cards. Yet, the problem is that up to 5 additional cards isn't really improving the game that much considering they are literally a press of a button away. Oversoul is ridiculously monotone with its releases, I don't know how you expect it to last long, considering there is a vast amount of potential that is *apparently* being unused at the moment.

There isn't any real sense of progress which is suppose to be the motivation to PvE. Afterwards, they are is absolutely no reason to PvP, which is a major issue they should be working with. While I may understand this is "Beta", I have not seen anything relating to projects for improvements to PvP or PvE aside from CC and this "Grand Quest".

...but, it is quite worrying that they make no comment about it. I firmly believe a good game is made by communication and understanding. How is the player base suppose to feel at ease when all they say: "This new character, next pack, Grand Quest soon", yet here we are talking about things like the monotonous of releases? They must know about this, so why not just write a DN that comments about it, tell us how they plan to fix that, if they are working on it, if they have absolutely no idea what to do? I really hate it when the player base is kept in the dark about these sort of matters. If they tell us the situation, we won't mind and we'll either support them or hope for the best. Yet, if you keep making no comment about it, everyone will assume you don't care and quit because they think they aren't fixing it.

Nulgath made a post on February saying how he does come here and I believe he is telling the truth. Yet, not everyone goes to the forums and the fact he can't make a reassuring statement, such as the things they are working on or what issues they are aware of, in the DN always fills me with fear. Fear that things will stay like this, that the game will die out because it seems all these releases are just monotonous.

Hmm Cyber does have a point about them keeping us in the dark. The DN hasn't been updated for ages now. Not everyone has twitter where the majority of the news takes place and not everyone is on the forums where the secondary news is usually held at. So, the DN would be the best thing to communicate progress and other important news to the OS community all at once. No one has an excuse for not reading the DN because it is accessible for everyone who plays the game, really lol. That is just my little issue, the fact that the DN hasn't been touched for a very very very long while xD

EDIT: That is about the only thing (IMO) AQW actually has over OS. It is that the DN gets updated like everyday with all types of info that keeps the playerbase informed.

@Cyberbeast10, Jmagician : Did it ever occur to you that the staff right now are overworked and are to busy with work, trying to get so much done in so little time that they don't have any extra time to make posts or decent progress on planned features right now?

Warlic has had tried to work at home at night off the clock to fix some of the bugs and get part of the next releases ready, Nulgath rarely has any time do do personal stuff and work on non-AE related stuff. Give them a break, they are doing more then just working on OS and right now the main focus has been turned to the Omni Project.

Um, there are weekly Design Notes updates, on the Oversoul Homepage, that at least tell us what to expect each week. For example, next week is the character suggestion contest, finally.

If you mean more about plans for the future, I don't think they have anything concrete right now, since Warlic and Rolith are being pulled away towards the other games so much (I'm looking at YOU, Project Omni >.>).
I don't think anyone wants a DN post filled with just speculation anyway.
